⭐️ ARGONOTA ➤➤ youtube.com/@argonota ⭐️ 🔘 Some of the most important personalities in the world, the theater entrepreneur Frank Mahler, the politician Kranine and the Indian maharaja Djorah of Mopur are in love, without reciprocity, with the fatal and algid singer Claire Lescot, known as "the inhuman". To impress her, one of her suitors fakes suicide by crashing his car into a river. After receiving the tragic news, she feels compassion and sadness for the first time. This film has an almost abstract aesthetic and is considered a masterpiece of silent cinema. The director draws heavily on the iconography of the French avant-garde. Based on a narrative story that, however, clashes with the very modern imagery in the conventional and decadent Belle Époque style setting. The settings quote Cubism and Futurism quite faithfully, and the last part approaches the abstract cinema of Léger and Richter. It is worth noting that Fernad Léger and the architect Robert Mallet Stevens participated in the creation of some of the sets. A very interesting part is the editing of the race scene, where we see one of the first examples of stylistic subjectivity, i.e. framing that shows not only what the protagonist sees, but also his state of mind, anticipating poetic realism. Indeed, in this scene, cleverly edited with the scene of the singer in triumph, we witness the mad dash of the car with images that quickly move away, switching to split screen to give the idea of the vision fleeing to the sides of the vehicle. The film has been restored to its original colors by using the original negative. Pour l'impressionner, un de ses prétendents simule un suicide en écrasant sa voiture dans une rivière. Après avoir reçu la tragique nouvelle, elle ressent pour la première fois de la compassion et de la tristesse. Ce film à l'esthétique presque abstraite est considéré comme un chef-d'œuvre du cinéma muet. Le réalisateur s'inspire largement de l'iconographie de l'avant-garde française. Basé sur une histoire narrative qui, cependant, se heurte à l'imagerie très moderne au cadre conventionnel et décadent de style Belle Époque. Les décors citent assez fidèlement le cubisme et le futurisme, et la dernière partie s'approche du cinéma abstrait de Léger et Richter. A noter que Fernad Léger et l´architeque Robert Mallet Stevens ont participés a la creation de certains décors. Une partie tres intéressante est le montage de la scène de course, où l'on voit l'un des premiers exemples de subjectivité stylistique, c'est-à-dire de cadrage qui montre non seulement ce que voit le protagoniste, mais aussi son état d'esprit, anticipant le réalisme poétique. En effet, dans cette scène, habilement montée avec la scène du chanteur en triomphe, on assiste à la course folle de la voiture avec des images qui s'éloignent rapidement, passant au split screen pour donner l'idée de la vision fuyant sur les côtés du véhicule. Le film est restauré dans ses teintes d'origine grâce à l'utilisation du négatif original.
