This is the last part of the series of tutorials about sculpting a human figure. This tutorial assumes the student has followed all the previous tutorials, and begins with the explanation of the main proportion of a male figure. The goal of this tutorial is to sculpt a complete male figure and show how all the different parts fit together. A reference sculpt is provided and a measuring tool introduced that can be of help to get the important proportions correct. First, the male figure will be sculpted from a cube. after the figure is essentially done, an important part of the sculpting process, namely self-critique is shown, and how to find the correct answers when the sculpt looks "off". This will be demonstrated on the fact, that at this point the figure looks small, while the attempt was to sculpt a male figure of heroic proportions. The other demonstrated point is, that the figure looks stiff at this point, this is a problem that is often the case. Here it is analyzed why the figure looks stiff, and how it can be improved, even though it is still in a symmetric pose. After bringing in these corrections of the sculpt, the last part of the tutorial shows how to sculpt a female figure, starting from the male figure that was just sculpted. Thus, the male figure will be transformed into a female figure. The purpose is here to make students aware of the main proportional differences. The tutorial ends with male and female figures fully sculpted. These figures are still rough, but as in the intro video will be shown, they are very close to a nice finish, which would take just time, but no new learning experience.
