Документальный фильм из цикла «Провинциальные музеи России» В октябре 2016 года на месте Куликовской битвы открылся новый ультрасовременный музей. От идеи его создания до реального воплощения прошло не менее 200 лет. О необычном музейном комплексе и людях, благодаря которым он появился на свет, и расскажет наш фильм. Те, кто пролетает в этих местах на самолете видят на земле таинственный крест. Не менее эффектное впечатление производит этот музей, если вы подъезжаете к нему поздним вечером... Вдали, в чистом поле, появляется загадочный свет и взметнувшиеся в звездное небо копья. Здание таким образом вписано в ландшафт, что становится частью кургана. Снаружи трудно себе представить масштаб развернувшей под землей экспозиции. Комплекс выполнен в стиле русского постмодернизма по проекту заслуженного архитектора России С. В. Гнедовского. Одновременно он является смотровой площадкой, с которой открывается вид на главный, тщательно хранимый и досконально исследуемый экспонат — Поле.
