Это представленный Maserati конкурент таких производительных седанов, как BMW M5 Competition и Porsche Panamera Turbo, и Мэт собирается проверить, имеет ли смысл предпочесть итальянца немцу! Ну давайте для начала заглянем под капот и сразу же отметим двигатель красного цвета. Дело в том, что он основан на том же моторе, которым Ferrari оснащают Portofino и Roma! Отдача, конечно, чуть меньше Ferrari, но всё равно впечатляет! 3,8-литровый V8 с двойным турбонаддувом выдаёт 580 л.с. и 730 Нм момента. Что до производительности, заявленный Maserati разгон Ghibli Trofeo до 96 км/ч всего 4,3 сек. Впечатляет, но всё же на целую секунду медленнее BMW M5 Competition… Что до дизайна, Ghibli Trofeo весьма похож на обычный Maserati Ghibli, хотя есть и малозаметные отличия. Впереди, на капоте добавилось отверстий, сплиттер из карбона; сбоку опциональные 21-дюймовые диски и красный вокруг боковых воздухозаборников. Позади всё более-менее похоже на обычную версию, за исключением карбонового диффузора. Если заглянуть в салон, он может показаться не особо оригинальным. Что уж там, он немножко устарел. Но всё же есть и чему порадоваться: современная информационно-развлекательная система по центру передней панели, а также пара спортивных сидений для водителя и переднего пассажира. Есть также и опциональный карбоновый пакет, преображающий центральную консоль, двери и подрулевые переключатели! То есть, машина вполне себе серьёзная, но и ценник тоже - 121745 фунтов!
