The all new Mahindra Scorpio N is here and we have tested it thoroughly over all kinds of roads. The petrol-automatic with 200bhp is tested on highways and winding roads in the Western Ghats where we rate its comfort, handling and driver confidence. Then we drive the diesel-automatic with 4x4 on a slushy rain-lashed off-road trail to rate its off-roading ability. The new Scorpio N retains the body on frame chassis and RWD with optional 4x4 but is claimed to offer best-in-class dynamics and comfort. It goes up against D-segment SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour along with mid-size SUVs like the Creta, Seltos and even the Tata Harrier and Mahindra’s very own XUV 700.
