Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io. Ourple Guy is a mod created by kiwiquest_ based on Five Nights at Freddy's games and community. Recently, the mod was majorly expanded, pumping the song count to 20 songs and 31 chromatics! The mod has a custom title screen, menu, and a stylized freeplay menu, where each song is symbolized as a selectable arcade cabinet. Beat every selectable arcade cabinet for a bonus. This mod has special arrows too, a custom green up, yellow left, blue down, and red right. Ourple Guy is based on a meme usually called Why He Ourple?, that first derived from a TikTok comment, from user @.aatidya.r commenting on a cat with purple spots, misspelling purple as ourple. A meme was formed around this misspelling but wouldn’t gain traction until paired with jokes around Micheal Afton from the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Despite the meme being more often associated with Micheal Afton (however both Micheal and William are used in these memes), the mod bases itself around William Afton, as Ourple Guy himself.
