In my opinion no one should use that word with out putting it in context and saying .. the 'daily trend'... '15m trend'... 'hourly trend'... etc... No matter what you think of as being the 'trend' we need to realize that the 'trend' is derived from the more important common denominator... 'structure'. It's all about understanding and knowing how to read and trade based on structure. Whether it's trend continuation.. countertrend.. elliot waves or moving averages, it's all based on the historical 'structure' we can see on the chart.
