*TL;DR* The ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED 2023 is a powerful laptop that exceeded all my expectations. It is marketed for creators but is also perfect for scientific computing, crunching numbers, and AI/ML. It comes with a powerful Intel Core i9-13980HX processor, NVIDIA RTX 4060/4070 GPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and ultra-fast SSD storage. It also comes with a 16-inch 3.2K OLED touchscreen, a haptic touch-pad compatible with styluses, Asus dial, and extensive connectivity. It is an excellent laptop, and I strongly recommend it for heavy workloads. ************************************************ Hi folks, this is my more detailed review of the ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED 2023 (H7604). I did a lot of bench-marking, including video editing, productivity tools, AI/ML, CAD, solid modeling and numerical simulations. After a lot of work and thinking, I can give this notebook a solid score of 8.5 out of 10 (on my personal scale). The notebook is fantastic, but due to some not-so-small issues with the hybrid processor, I had to subtract a few points from the overall score. By the way, do not buy the notebook because of the Asus Dial (everybody talks about it only because it is novel) but because it fits your needs. In my case, - Creator work - CAD and solid modeling - AI/ML and crunching numbers - Touchscreen - A modest weight to form factor ratio Negative notes of the notebook and I cannot stress this enough, these are small issues, - The location of the speakers and the sound is too metallic - The keys on the keyboard are too close because of the keypad. - Too noisy when working at maximum workload, but this is expected as it packs a lot of power. The big issue is the Hybrid processor. Not all my applications were running using the performance cores, which slowed down everything to the point that I considered returning the notebook. Luckily, I found a way around it. This is not an Asus problem; this is an Intel problem. By the way, if you are considering acquiring this laptop, buy the one with the NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU. You will pay about 300 bucks more, but it is worth it.
