Our new collaboration with Lavon Volski is about the journey of Francysk Skaryna and how the Belarusian became a European Superstar. Francysk Skaryna is a Belarussian hero who left a significant mark on European history. Although he was a humanist, a medical doctor and a biologist, he is best known as the first book printer in the GDL and the first to translate the Bible into the East Slavic language. What makes a superstar? Is it a giant amount Of cash and Millions of followers on your TikTok account? Is it to dress like a diva and fill the halls with your fans? To be revered like a demi-god in a lowrider Benz? All that is bollix! And though this might sound seemingly strange To me a superstar’s someone who brings some meaningful change! Like THIS guy! Wait, you don’t know him? How unenlightened you are! He is a hero for Europe and he is known for the “scar”! It’s not the scar on his forehead it’s not the scar on his face It is the scar in his name! Skaryna! Glory and Grace! He brought the printing of books to Eastern Europe, so cheers! Francysk was born up in Polazk that is in Belarus, well Back in the day his land was rather known as - GDL The Lithuanyan grand duchy, a major country that rolls From sea to sea in an alliance with the Kingdom of poles. And Francysk travelled, came back and brought the printing along In eastern Slavic that means - old Belarusian tongue! He was a Tech innovator he was an entrepreneur He was an artist, a doctor - One in 1 million for sure! And secondly, it’s his merit, the contribution - so rich! He made to what we all call the European heritage.
