From Bungie's roots building Sci-fi themed shooters in their Chicago offices, to 343 Industries' newly released Season 2 for Halo Infinite. Celebrate 20 years of one of the most iconic first person shooter series every created by learning how the series has evolved! Halo is a first person shooter series created by Jason Jones, Marcus Lehto, and a team of Bungie developers and published by Microsoft for their new Xbox console. The series got its start as a hybrid RTS game built from the mold of their fantasy RTS series, Myth - and evolved to completely dominate the video gaming scene with its rich storytelling, beautiful scenery, balanced gunplay mechanics, and its revolutionary multiplayer. Following the groundbreaking Halo: Combat Evolved, Bungie created several more entries to the series, including Halo 2, Halo 3, a standalone expansion called Halo 3 ODST, and a prequel entry called Halo Reach. After Bungie's departure from the franchise, Microsoft created 343industries to carry on its legacy, resulting in Halo 4, Halo 5, and most recently Halo Infinite.
