Scaricare "drift away" by ryli06, cometface & nwolc | Geometry Dash 2.11"

ryli06 has been making some pretty unique levels recently, and this one's no different. It's not just by her, though, as it's a collaboration with nwolc and overdefo. If I saw these 3 creators grouped together, I'd normally question whether they would go well together, but I'd say they do quite well here overall. There is a clear switch in visuals at 2:48, though, but the initial colors match earlier parts nicely. It's the following visuals, starting at 2:54, that stand out a bit too much compared to the rest of the level. The part does look good, but it has completely different colors than the rest and is also more focused on art rather than effects. Earlier parts, which take up nearly 3 minutes, have a lot of white and some flashing rainbow colors alongside it. This matches the vibe of the song nicely. I have to say that some parts feel a bit long. The part at 1:35, for example, goes on for about 1 minute. If the visuals were more varied throughout the part, it'd work better to me, but it's kinda just the same thing for 1 minute. Of course, the song is pretty slow and doesn't allow too much changing. However, there's still ways to keep it more interesting. The fact that the level is 4 minutes long does make up for the long parts somewhat, as it allows for a good amount of different parts. Still, the long parts' visuals could've been a bit less repetitive. I feel similarly about the gameplay. It gets very repetitive in some parts without much variety throughout. The gameplay does get more enjoyable at one point, though, and that's at 2:48. Here, it speeds up, requiring more frequent inputs, and changes game modes way more often than earlier parts. So while this part fits a bit less in visuals overall, it does have more enjoyable gameplay to me. Some of my criticisms of the level are understandable because of the song, and I'd say this is a good representation of it. Every part on their own look good too.
