This is a longplay of the game Super Metroid, an action-adventure platform game released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the third game in the Metroid series and was developed for Nintendo by its subsidiary, R&D1. Super Metroid is a direct sequel to Metroid II: Return of Samus from 1991. At a time when civilizations began to colonize other planets and consequently their mapping, it became necessary to create the Galactic Federation, which organized the advancement and planning of civilizations in space, but this balance was interrupted, merchant ships were looted and their dead crew, were not human beings nor allied beings, for the way the bodies were found and the way in which they were dead made impossible human or allied authorship. In this game, the player controls the heroine Samus Aran, who travels to planet Zebes (in a large open world with areas linked by doors and lifts) to recover a Metroid stolen by the Space Pirates (yes, the same Metroid of the previous game) . During his adventure, Samus will find improvements to her armor and items while looking for the bosses and their ultimate goal, the Metroid. The game begins when Ridley, the revived Space Pirate, invades the Ceres Space Academy and steals the Metroid larva. Samus is summoned urgently and follows the pirate to the planet Zebes, where she discovers that the base of the Space Pirates has been rebuilt and expanded. And another great and dangerous adventure begins. The game represented an even greater evolution, since it was on a 16-bit platform, which provided better graphics, better gameplay, menus, a map (which did not exist in previous games) and also the division of locations (Crateria, Brinstar, Wrecked Ship, Norfair, Maridia, Tourian) and also the shots can be combined (in the Metroid II, it was only possible to use only one type) and besides the normal missiles, also has the Super Missile, the Power Bomb and more. Super Metroid was received with widespread acclaim from criticism, due to its use of atmosphere, gameplay, audio, cinematic elements and spectacular graphics.
