Stepping downwards, under the helmsman’s perch, a doorway grants entry to the bowels of the vessel. The heart of the machine immediately greets anyone, reminding them of the mysterious alchemy used to drive this ship ever onwards, always under the ever watchful eye of the captain via the second chamber portal located in the floor of his quarters. The chef’s pots resting on the machinery speaks to the import of space on a ship such as this, something that carries through the quarters with every foot of available space taken up by all manner of crate, barrel and canvas bag, with crew and passengers alike perched above in hammocks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
