Averell Harriman is in Churchill's party as US representative; Sir Alexander Cadougan and others also present. M/S of the American crew of the Liberator. M/S Guard of Honour. He talks of continuing hand in hand, whatever our sufferings and toils, like comrades and brothers until every vestige of the Nazi regime has been beaten into the ground, and the memory of it only remains as an example and a warning for future times. M/S Mr Harriman takes the mike and echoes Churchill's words. The delegation get into a fleet of cars, Churchill gives V sign, then leaves. Panning shot of the motorcade moving down Gorky Street. Dusk at the Moscow Airport and the four day visit comes to an end. Churchill and his party board the Liberator and head back to Cairo. One of the watching Russians tries out the 'V for victory' sign.
