Originally #MIB2 Standard navigation systems have CID-lock which does not allow to use 3rd party SD cards as a navigation database. With MIB STD2 Toolbox you can #patch the configuration file and use any memory card (with any #CID number) as the navigation map source. ⚠️ 🛑 Warning! 🛑 ⚠️ This software is experimental. This software can potentially damage your main unit. This software still under development. You are doing everything at your own risk. ❓ How to patch CID Lock 1. With the MIB STD2 Toolbox installed on the unit, place the Toolbox memory card in the SD1 port. 2. Press and hold MENU button for 10 seconds and wait for the Testmode menue to appear on the screen. 3. Go to Green Engineering menu, mib2std_toolbox, customization, navi, Patch navigation config 4. After few seconds patching is done. Exit the green menu. 5. Press and hold volume control knob for 10 seconds to reboot the main unit. 6. After the system restarts safely remove Toolbox SD card and insert 3rd party SD card with navigation files on it. 7. Press NAVI button and check if the 3rd party card is detected as valid navigation database source. ℹ️ Requirements Car: VW, Seat, Skoda, (maybe also MAN?). Hardware: MIB2 STD Technisat/Preh main units with GPS navigation. Software: 01xx, 02xx, 03xx, or 04xx firmware. 05xx is not supported. Developer mode needs to be enabled, to enter Green Engineering Menu (GEM).
