Von der Bergstation der Kreuzeckbahn geht es über den Osterfelderkopf zum Einstieg der Alpspitz-Ferrata und hoch auf den Gipfel der 2628m hohen Alpspitze. Über den Grat geht es zur Grieskarscharte und weiter über den Mathaisenkar-KS ins Mathaisenkar und nach unten zur Höllentalangerhütte.
