В России будут продавать две новые модели: кроссовер F7 и купе-кроссовер F7х. Машины с литерой F в названии позиционируют как молодежные. От сородичей с буквой H в индексе (эти для дома, для семьи) они должны отличаться броской внешностью и жизнерадостным интерьером, «динамичными» настройками шасси, двигателей и трансмиссии. При этом многие модели из той и другой линейки будут делиться не только агрегатами, но платформами. Так, F7 и F7x поставят на одно шасси с моделью H6 следующего поколения, которая уже продается в Китае (но не факт, что доедет до России). Двигатели – бензиновые, с турбонаддувом: 150-сильный 1.5 и 2.0 с 190 силами. Оба мотора работают в паре с семиступенчатым преселективным роботом с мокрым сцеплением, что хорошо в плане надежности. Но сама коробка – кот в мешке. Во-первых, это собственная разработка Хавейла. Во-вторых, никакой статистики по этим коробкам нет, ведь на наш рынок этот агрегат придет вместе с моделью F7. В Китае есть альтернатива роботу – шестиступенчатая механика. В России же машин на «ручке» не будет – по крайней мере, пока. Зато с конвейера российского завода Haval под Тулой будут сходить как передне-, так и полноприводные машины. Первым по сборочной линии пойдет Haval F7. У полноприводных машин за подключение задних колес отвечает электромагнитная муфта BorgWarner (китайцы абсолютно правильно решили не изобретать велосипед), которая при необходимости передаст назад до 50 % тяги. В архитектуре подвески тоже никаких откровений: спереди стойки McPherson, сзади многорычажка.
