Congas, Agogos, Cow Bell, Guiro oder Claves. Um den lateinamerikanischen Effekt zu verstärken legt Arrangeur Stefan Schwalgin seinem Medley die geniale Idee zugrunde, das perkussiv klingende Xylophon als Solo-Instrument mit dem dominierenden Groove der anderen Perkussionsinstrumente zu verbinden. Analog der traditionellen Form von klassischen Solokonzerten wählte Schwalgin das Muster „schnell – langsam – schnell“. Die beiden rasanten Titel „Tico Tico“ und „Mambo Jambo“ bilden Anfang und Ende, während „Tea for Two“ als Mittelteil im Cha-Cha-Stil für etwas Entspannung sorgt. „TicoTico“ und „Mambo Jambo“ stammen ursprünglich aus Lateinamerika, wohingegen “Tea for Two” aus einem Broadway-Musical entnommen ist. In den 1920er Jahren entwickelte sich der Titel zu einem echten Jazz-Klassiker und in den 1950er Jahren wurde eine Cover-Version im Cha-Cha-Stil zu einem großen Hit.
