As you’re well aware by now, every great workout starts with a great warmup, so take 5 minutes to warm up your muscles and joints with some dynamic full body movements, get the blood pumping and then let’s get into it! 1:08 Workout info: For this workout, you’ll perform 6 exercises, in circuit fashion. You’ll perform each exercise in Tabata Interval style, meaning you’ll give 100% intensity for 20 seconds, then have 10 seconds to rest and prepare for the next exercise. Once you’ve completed all 6 exercises, that’s the end of round 1. Your goal is to complete 2 rounds back-to-back with no additional rest in-between exercises, making this a 6-minute total core meltdown. Push yourself and give this your all! 1:44 Exercise #1: Scissor Kicks Lie flat on your back, hands under your hips, legs straight about 6 inches off the ground, shoulders elevated. Flex your core and kick your legs one at a time up and down about 12 inches - this will light up your lower abs and get your heartrate sky high. 2:02 Exercise #2: Star Crunches Sit back with your arms and legs extended out so your body forms a star shape. Keep your arms and legs about 6 inches off the ground. Crunch up tucking your knees towards your chest, then control back out into a star position, keeping your core braced the entire time. Repeat until time runs out. 2:22 Exercise #3: Side Plank Rotations Setup in a plank position with your body straight like a board. Brace your core and rotate your trunk, raising your right arm straight into the air - your body should form a T when viewed from the side - then control back down to plank position and rotate to the left side. Repeat alternating back and forth until the time is up. 2:44 Exercise #4: Mountain Climbers Set up in a pushup position, then drive your knees up to your chest one at a time, then back to pushup position. Alternate side-to-side every rep. 2:56 Exercise #5: In-and-Out Crunches Setup in a seated position with your hands placed at your sides and your knees bent about 90 degrees. Lean back, engage your core and pick your feet up so they’re parallel with the floor. From here crunch your core driving your knees towards your chest, then control back out. Continue moving your feet in and out parallel with the floor to torch your abs until time is up. 3:21 Exercise #6: Russian Twists Sit with your legs raised parallel to the floor, lean back, and twist - hitting the ground beside you alternating side to side every rep.
