00:00:01
well and welcome to today's talk Friday
00:00:03
the 8th of September now we want to look
00:00:07
at excess deaths today that are just
00:00:09
carrying on in a group of countries
00:00:12
where they are remaining High
00:00:14
but there's another group of countries
00:00:16
where excess deaths are well below the
00:00:19
average
00:00:20
what is going on here
00:00:22
now let's look at this graphic here to
00:00:24
begin with and this is not related to
00:00:26
the excess deaths of course this is
00:00:28
related to vaccination status
00:00:31
and this is share of people who
00:00:33
completed the initial covid-19 vaccine
00:00:36
protocol
00:00:37
so we see we've got countries that are
00:00:39
fairly highly vaccinated up here
00:00:42
Australia Canada Island New Zealand
00:00:44
Denmark United Kingdom United States
00:00:45
Netherlands what we might call them or
00:00:48
affluent countries up here
00:00:51
and then we've got poorer European
00:00:54
countries uh beneath who vaccinated at
00:00:58
much lower rates so for example we see
00:01:00
Moldova there vaccinated at what around
00:01:03
about the 30 rate as opposed to
00:01:05
Australia where it was well over the 80
00:01:08
percent rate so difference between 30
00:01:11
and 80 percent so really quite
00:01:14
significant difference in in vaccination
00:01:17
rates and just let's look at that here
00:01:19
so we see countries that are
00:01:21
um highly vaccinated up here
00:01:24
and then we compare that to countries
00:01:26
this group of countries where there's
00:01:27
low amounts of vaccination
00:01:30
here
00:01:32
so that's interesting to note
00:01:34
now we're not saying that
00:01:36
there's one simple cause of the excess
00:01:40
mortality it is going to be more than
00:01:42
one factor it's going to be multiple
00:01:44
factors
00:01:45
but let's just remember those countries
00:01:47
where the vaccination rates were higher
00:01:49
or lower because it seems a Pity that
00:01:51
countries that have spent a lot of money
00:01:53
on vaccines aren't benefiting from lower
00:01:56
rates of mortality overall
00:02:00
it just seems a real pity that the more
00:02:02
sophisticated contras
00:02:04
are having the Richer countries are
00:02:06
having more excess mortality compared to
00:02:09
the poorer European countries
00:02:12
um let's show you let me show you what I
00:02:14
mean here so that was the vaccination
00:02:15
rates now this is the United States so
00:02:18
we see that the excess deaths in the
00:02:20
United States are currently running
00:02:21
about the eight percent mark
00:02:24
this is still high
00:02:27
and of course this is a time where I
00:02:29
would expect it to be lower because the
00:02:31
more vulnerable people
00:02:33
we would expect to have died already
00:02:36
here we see the United Kingdom and again
00:02:39
we do see that the uh the excess deaths
00:02:42
remain high in the United Kingdom round
00:02:44
about this week's actually down to four
00:02:47
and a half percent but this average here
00:02:49
is looking around about this is from our
00:02:50
world in data
00:02:52
looking around about the 10 Mark for the
00:02:55
excess deaths in the United Kingdom
00:03:00
this is Australia now Australia it's
00:03:03
particularly High I'm afraid we see
00:03:05
Australia's around about the 18 Mark for
00:03:08
excess deaths and it stayed High really
00:03:12
for quite a long time now right from the
00:03:13
beginning of a 20.
00:03:16
21. so very high excess deaths in
00:03:20
Australia Canada also remaining High
00:03:24
unfortunately over the five percent Mark
00:03:27
for excess deaths in Canada
00:03:30
Netherlands
00:03:32
not quite so bad in the Netherlands but
00:03:34
we can see it's been in positive
00:03:35
territory there's been some excess
00:03:38
deaths again pretty well from uh well
00:03:41
that's from about March 2022 they're all
00:03:44
the way through to the present time
00:03:46
not as bad as in some countries but
00:03:48
still there Denmark again looking at
00:03:51
this trend here we've got this overall
00:03:53
trend of excess mortality in Denmark
00:03:57
New Zealand it has been higher but New
00:04:00
Zealand does seem a little bit lower at
00:04:02
the moment but it has been high for some
00:04:04
time and New Zealand can be a little bit slow
00:04:07
with their data so let's hope that's a
00:04:09
genuine
00:04:10
a picture of New Zealand Ireland really
00:04:14
quite high that figure there is about 11
00:04:16
in Ireland
00:04:18
so we see that the excess deaths in
00:04:20
Ireland have really been quite uh
00:04:23
really quite high for quite some time
00:04:27
very sad to see that in Ireland and just
00:04:31
reminding ourselves of the countries
00:04:33
where the vaccination rates are higher
00:04:35
so all this money spent on vaccinations
00:04:37
and yet we still have the excess deaths
00:04:40
in these countries
00:04:42
now here we have countries where the
00:04:44
vaccination rates are much lower
00:04:47
generally poorer Eastern European
00:04:50
countries with lower vaccination rates
00:04:54
how how is that do how are they doing in
00:04:57
terms of excess death so let's look at
00:04:59
these countries now in terms of excess
00:05:02
deaths
00:05:03
and we see in Bulgaria first of all that
00:05:05
deaths are about 20 percent less
00:05:08
than we would expect based on the
00:05:10
five-year average at the moment
00:05:13
so pretty good news there in Bulgaria in
00:05:16
terms of excess deaths and it's been
00:05:18
down as we see they've been down for
00:05:20
quite some time since March uh since
00:05:23
March 2022 roughly
00:05:26
uh Romania fairly similar position in
00:05:30
Romania excess deaths let me just show
00:05:33
you the whole graphic
00:05:35
so we can see that uh we're well below
00:05:37
the uh the average here and have been
00:05:40
since
00:05:41
March 2022 have been well down nicely
00:05:45
below
00:05:46
the uh
00:05:48
excess deaths exactly as we would expect
00:05:51
after a pandemic where
00:05:54
um more vulnerable people have already
00:05:56
left us sadly
00:05:59
um Hungary
00:06:00
again well below the average line of the
00:06:04
previous five years
00:06:06
so reduced excess deaths in Hungary not
00:06:09
quite as long as some other European
00:06:10
countries but they've been down for
00:06:12
quite some time now certainly since all
00:06:15
of 2023
00:06:18
good news in Hungary Poland again we see
00:06:22
fairly lowish there has been the odd
00:06:24
blip but lower
00:06:26
than average for most of 2023 I think
00:06:30
that's fair to say some slight Peaks
00:06:33
above average but certainly lower than
00:06:35
the UK constantly higher or the United
00:06:37
States constantly higher Azerbaijan
00:06:40
going around about the zero Mark so
00:06:43
that's the zero Mark there
00:06:45
so Azerbaijan fairly low
00:06:49
Kosovo also round about the zero Mark
00:06:53
near what we would expect
00:06:56
Slovakia
00:06:58
um well quite a bit lower than the zero
00:07:00
Mark again for pretty well all of 20 23.
00:07:05
so um
00:07:06
what are we there something like minus
00:07:09
20 less deaths and will be expected for
00:07:11
the five-year average
00:07:13
from Slovakia poora Eastern towards the
00:07:18
east European country
00:07:20
doing very well Armenia
00:07:24
well Armenia again well below the
00:07:26
average for again pretty well since that
00:07:29
time period since March 2022
00:07:32
um and um
00:07:34
going above one month there but lower
00:07:37
for all of 2023
00:07:40
very consistent Trend that we're seeing
00:07:43
here
00:07:45
Georgia this is the Georgia in Europe
00:07:48
not the Georgia in the United States
00:07:49
again Lower four let's just show the the
00:07:53
whole thing there so the zero line so
00:07:55
below for
00:07:57
again since pretty well March 2022 lower
00:08:01
than average
00:08:02
expected deaths which is what we would
00:08:04
expect because of all the vulnerable
00:08:06
people who died in the
00:08:08
Peaks
00:08:10
associated with the uh pandemic
00:08:14
Moldova again the same
00:08:18
pattern since March 2022
00:08:21
deaths have been mostly below what we
00:08:23
would expect
00:08:26
again just to look at the whole thing
00:08:28
there see it's the
00:08:30
few percent below but it has been what
00:08:33
10 below for quite some of the time and
00:08:36
and lower since
00:08:38
strangely enough round about March 20 22
00:08:42
which is exactly what we would expect
00:08:44
because this is when Omicron had taken
00:08:47
over from Delta
00:08:50
much less pathogenic
00:08:52
vulnerable people already died we would
00:08:55
expect the deaths to be lower as we're
00:08:56
seeing in all these multiple Eastern
00:08:59
European and poorer or European
00:09:01
countries that we are
00:09:02
considering
00:09:05
Bulgaria again
00:09:07
very similar pattern in Bulgaria
00:09:11
much lower deaths throughout
00:09:15
well later in 2022 there but certainly
00:09:18
for
00:09:19
2023 we're seeing much lower
00:09:23
mortality well below the zero line
00:09:28
um which would be the uh the average the
00:09:30
fight The Five-Year average
00:09:34
um
00:09:35
much much better news there much better
00:09:38
news in uh in Bulgaria
00:09:42
so that's good
00:09:45
uh Bosnia Herzegovina
00:09:48
again since March 2022 that familiar
00:09:51
pattern
00:09:53
uh basically lower and certainly lower
00:09:56
for 2023 with some
00:09:58
Peaks but the overall trend and the
00:10:00
average is there
00:10:01
well uh well down
00:10:06
as we would expect
00:10:09
now let's just remind ourselves of the
00:10:11
uh
00:10:12
graphic we looked at earlier on
00:10:14
a share of people who've uh completed
00:10:17
the initial covered vaccine protocols
00:10:19
the country that has spent more on
00:10:21
vaccination sadly
00:10:24
not reaping the benefit
00:10:28
of that and that these are the countries
00:10:30
with higher deaths the countries with
00:10:32
the lower vaccination rates
00:10:34
as we've seen are the countries with
00:10:37
lower death rates
00:10:42
so it looks like it's better to live in
00:10:43
a poorer country
00:10:46
okay you don't get the high covered
00:10:47
vaccination rates that we uh
00:10:51
um benefited from here
00:10:55
but you get less success deaths
00:11:00
whereas we have
00:11:02
excess deaths being maintained
00:11:04
now the excess deaths in the UK and
00:11:06
other Western countries are in all age
00:11:08
groups
00:11:09
this is not just older people
00:11:12
so this is the data from office for
00:11:15
health Improvement in the UK
00:11:18
and we see that excess deaths in the age
00:11:21
group
00:11:22
this is the naught 24 have been higher
00:11:25
sadly for uh some time on average
00:11:29
and that's a bit of a blow up of that we
00:11:31
see these uh increasing deaths anything
00:11:34
in light above the line is excess deaths
00:11:37
anything below the line in dark is less
00:11:40
than we would expect but way more of the
00:11:42
time at the not 24 year old age range
00:11:44
we're seeing more deaths
00:11:47
25 to 49 year old age group
00:11:53
sadly the same pan
00:11:55
more in this age group is dying
00:11:58
compared to the five-year average
00:12:03
again a bit of a blow up of that we can
00:12:06
see positive territory where we do not
00:12:08
want to be
00:12:10
for most of the time
00:12:13
this is the 50 to 64 year old age range
00:12:16
again
00:12:17
it's very
00:12:19
positive territory where we do not want
00:12:22
to be
00:12:24
all age groups
00:12:26
65 to 74
00:12:28
similar pattern
00:12:33
let's blow that one up and we see
00:12:34
they're in positive territory where we
00:12:36
don't want to be for
00:12:38
much of the time this is affecting all
00:12:40
age ranges
00:12:44
now briefly I'm just going to look at
00:12:45
some of the causes of death from the UK
00:12:48
data actually is this England and Wales
00:12:50
I'm not sure no this is just England
00:12:52
just England but it's very fairly
00:12:54
similar for the rest of the UK now this
00:12:56
is ischemic heart disease
00:12:58
so we see that more people are dying of
00:13:00
ischemic heart disease
00:13:01
light blue more than we would expect
00:13:04
dark blue below the line less than we
00:13:07
would expect
00:13:09
more deaths from ischemic heart disease
00:13:10
a lot more deaths from heart failure
00:13:14
than we would expect nearly always above
00:13:16
average
00:13:18
are fairly where the heart muscle is no
00:13:21
longer working for example heart failure
00:13:23
could be caused by myocardial infarction
00:13:26
the disease of the coronary arteries
00:13:28
that causes the blood clot heart failure
00:13:30
could be caused by myocarditis
00:13:33
it could be caused by failure of the
00:13:35
heart valves when the heart is unable to
00:13:38
eject enough blood in a one minute
00:13:40
period the cardiac output Falls
00:13:43
to the point where it's insufficient to
00:13:45
meet the metabolic demands of the body
00:13:47
and often associated with congestion as
00:13:49
well resulting in swelling in edema
00:13:54
so we're seeing that that is increased
00:13:57
now other respiratory diseases in
00:14:00
England
00:14:01
other respiratory diseases are low
00:14:04
much less deaths
00:14:07
so in covert you might expect more
00:14:10
long covered complications of covert you
00:14:12
might expect more deaths
00:14:14
from other respiratory diseases but
00:14:16
you're actually seeing less from other
00:14:18
the Classic this is a classification
00:14:20
other
00:14:21
respiratory disease is less deaths than
00:14:23
we would expect
00:14:26
um this one is Alzheimer's disease less
00:14:28
than we would expect
00:14:31
now this is not surprising because the
00:14:33
people that would have gone on to get
00:14:34
Alzheimer's disease are the elderly and
00:14:36
the more vulnerable and they've sadly
00:14:38
already left us in the past few years
00:14:40
so this is exactly what we would expect
00:14:42
in a pandemic
00:14:45
we wouldn't expect the other things
00:14:48
and we no reason why we would expect the
00:14:50
great increase in in cirrhosis on other
00:14:53
liver diseases
00:14:54
so way more people here dying of liver
00:14:57
disease
00:14:58
so remember the dark below the line less
00:15:01
people dying the light blew above the
00:15:03
line
00:15:04
more people dying way more people dying
00:15:07
of liver disease than we would expect
00:15:11
cirrhosis of the liver being fibrous
00:15:13
scar tissue in the liver that can occur
00:15:15
as a result of a long-term uh ongoing
00:15:18
inflammatory process in the liver for
00:15:21
example
00:15:24
so it's uh
00:15:26
it's a Pity that the countries that
00:15:28
invested
00:15:29
so much in the covered vaccines aren't
00:15:32
reaping the benefit
00:15:33
in terms of um
00:15:35
reduce mortality quite the converse
00:15:37
they're seeing increase mortality
00:15:43
this is just a little bit from uh so
00:15:45
they're the references our world in data
00:15:47
the vaccination one offers for health
00:15:49
improvements this is just the latest
00:15:51
figure from figures from the UK
00:15:55
um ten thousand and eighty six deaths in
00:15:58
the week in England and Wales 203
00:16:00
mentioned novel coronavirus two percent
00:16:02
of all deaths
00:16:04
of course many of those were weird not
00:16:07
from covert
00:16:09
but again this last week so this is
00:16:11
remember this is week uh ending the 25th
00:16:14
of August
00:16:16
and in the 25th of August week 25
00:16:19
sadly 4.5 above the five-year average
00:16:24
for the UK
00:16:27
when will this trend end we are losing
00:16:33
so many people
00:16:37
and to be quite honest I'm one of the
00:16:38
few people talking about it
00:16:42
why isn't this a national International
00:16:43
scandal
00:16:45
why aren't
00:16:46
the investigative journalists from the
00:16:48
national
00:16:51
televised news agencies
00:16:55
crawling all over this story demanding
00:16:58
the truth
00:17:01
the silence remains deafening
00:17:06
the deaths remain
00:17:08
higher than we would
00:17:10
expect
00:17:11
consistently
00:17:13
with a strange pattern
00:17:15
that the uh the Western sophisticated
00:17:17
countries
00:17:20
have a
00:17:22
higher
00:17:24
rates of death countries like this that
00:17:27
have
00:17:28
coincidentally higher vaccination rates
00:17:30
higher rates of death in these countries
00:17:34
lower rates of death
00:17:38
