На открытии выставки знаменитого художника гости повержены в ужас: в одну из скульптур оказывается замуровано тело самого автора. Осмотрев место происшествия, Нюхач принимается за дело. После краткого расследования он понимает, что это была вовсе не странная попытка художника «увековечить себя в искусстве», а убийство по загадочным мотивам… Тем временем полиция Таллина занимается расследованием убийства Эрики и ее подруги. Его зовут Нюхач, он обладает сверхчувствительным обонянием.
