The tuning is Eb tuning. That will be every string down one half-step: Starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. Some of my favorite GN’R riffs are in this one. The main riff just kills and is so fun to play. It can also be a bit tricky to play as well. For some of the sections of the song, there will be to two distinct guitar parts. I will demonstrate both when that occurs. Slash’s solo is pretty short but has some very cool licks in it. For his outro solo that is being played under the final chorus, I will just give you a quick theory breakdown of the scale types he is using instead of going through it note-for-note. That way, you can just improvise you own thing at that part, just like Slash does live. But don’t skip that part entirely because I do show you how to play that killer descending riff that happens right at the end of the song.
