Гегель, может быть сформулирован так: «человек как мыслящий есть мера всех вещей». В противоположность натурфилософам, Сократ хотел ограничиться этическими исследованиями; ибо они одни, по его мнению, имеют цену для человека, и лишь ими в состоянии овладеть познавательная способность человека; напротив, натурфилософские умозрения не только бесплодны, но и тщетны и даже дерзостны. Прежде, до Сократа, истина понималась древними греками как нечто окончательно сложившееся, готовое. Она могла быть уловлена сознанием мыслителя и без особых затруднений передана другому, чье мышление открыто для извлечения абсолютной истины. Сократ отказывается от этой предпосылки. Невозможно внести истину в душу человека, как нельзя заставить видеть слепого от рождения. Воспринимая мир в масштабах таких понятий как благо, добродетель, и судьба, Сократ главной своей задачей полагал рациональное обоснование религиозно-нравственного мировоззрения. Для Сократа человек в его социальном и политическом поведении, прежде всего нравственное существо, а в нравственном поведении -- существо разумное. И его философия может быть поэтому, определена как этический и антропологический рационализм. В лекции рассматриваются следующие вопросы: 1. Биография Сократа - основные вехи. 2. Этический рационализм Сократа - "Познай себя", как непрерывное стремление с самосовершенствованию. 3. Метод Сократа: майевтика, диалектика, определение, индукция, ирония. 4. Моральные парадоксы Сократа: знание есть добродетель. 5. Сократ о душе и даймонионе (внутреннем голосе).
