Prof. Dr. Norbert Christlieb von der Heidelberger Landessternwarte berichtet über den ältesten Stern im Kosmos und darüber, wie sich mittels radioaktiver Elemente sein Alter bestimmen lässt. -------------------------------------------------------------- Im Rahmen der Vortragsreihe "UNI(VERSUM) FÜR ALLE! -- HALBE HEIDELBERGER STERNSTUNDEN" halten Heidelberger AstronomInnen im Sommersemester 2011 insgesamt 70 Kurzvorträge über spannende Fragen aus der Astronomie. Die Veranstaltungen werden der interessierten Öffentlichkeit vom 11. April bis zum 22. Juli jeweils montags bis freitags als "astronomische Mittagspause" in der Heidelberger Universitätskirche/Peterskirche angeboten. Vortragsthemen sind etwa: Gibt es eine zweite Erde? Wieso ist Pluto kein Planet mehr? Was ist eigentlich "die Milchstraße"? Wie lange scheint die Sonne noch? Warum gibt es im August so viele Sternschnuppen? Sind wir wirklich aus Sternenstaub gemacht? Wie groß ist das Weltall? Gibt es Schwarze Löcher wirklich? Veranstalter der Vortragsreihe ist das Zentrum für Astronomie der Universität Heidelberg (ZAH, https://zah.uni-heidelberg.de/). Idee und Konzept stammen von Prof. Dr. Joachim Wambsganß, dem Direktor des ZAH, der die Reihe auch organisiert.
