00:17:13
told him that you made an appointment with me
00:17:15
I rushed here to embrace the old days
00:17:17
Julia and very opportunely my friend I always
00:17:22
By the way, they say that you are without mine
00:17:25
permission for your new books You are in one of
00:17:28
[laughter]
00:17:30
nothing like the earth to moon romance
00:17:32
there really is a character named
00:17:34
Michel Ardant Don't fool Ardant or
00:17:38
Nadar rearrangement of syllables did not interfere
00:17:40
every Parisian will recognize this figure
00:17:42
me I became even more famous than I was
00:17:45
tell me it's okay your friend
00:17:49
a conical projectile placed you in a cylinder
00:17:51
then he shot it from a giant
00:17:57
pu of the barrel of this gun so that the projectile could
00:18:01
reach the moon theoretical calculations i
00:18:04
did together with Professor Henri Gars
00:18:06
nurs can be trusted Did you think that when
00:18:08
shot from a giant shell
00:18:09
Passengers may be overloaded
00:18:10
crushed I invented a special
00:18:12
shock-absorbing device and where am I
00:18:15
now rotate around the moon my friend
00:18:19
as her companion
00:18:22
exactly
00:18:24
Brilliantly I allow a thousand times I allow
00:18:29
I give you permission to use me from now on
00:18:31
at your discretion where else will you find
00:18:32
such color
00:18:35
figure about champagne Jules What
00:18:39
happened when the messenger Prince your
00:18:42
note I solved your troubles And you
00:18:44
you're just bursting with joy
00:18:46
a child was born You can say
00:18:48
so today we will celebrate
00:18:51
the birth of a new novel I couldn’t help but
00:18:54
come to you I'm cramped in my room
00:18:56
bursts with the grandeur of the plan
00:18:58
It's not even a novel, it's a series of novels
00:19:01
Maybe
00:19:02
trilogy it will be better than what I have
00:19:05
wrote Wait, what will happen to me?
00:19:07
are you going to bring me back to earth
00:19:08
Not now please hang around
00:19:11
The moon has enough food for six months
00:19:14
What will your new one be called?
00:19:17
novel what to report in your prospectuses
00:19:19
readers will get the title
00:19:23
by the way, let me know
00:19:26
so the children of Captain Grant Who is he?
00:19:31
Captain
00:19:32
Grant the Scot who can't
00:19:34
come to terms with the fact that England enslaved
00:19:36
Scotland Why do you care about Scottish
00:19:38
problems are the problem of the oppressors and
00:19:41
my heart is always on the side of the oppressed
00:19:44
the latter be it Hungarian, Scotsman, Indian
00:19:46
or Bulgarian and my pen will be correct
00:19:49
serve
00:19:50
im you have a big heart jules it's ready
00:19:54
will you be able to bear everyone's pain?
00:19:57
it Yesterday I received a letter from students
00:20:00
15 Parisian schools signed it
00:20:02
schoolchildren this is what they write talented
00:20:04
teacher in all subjects this is about me
00:20:06
what they want they ask to write
00:20:09
a geographical novel in which there would be
00:20:10
adventures and useful information to science
00:20:12
you will satisfy everyone's taste
00:20:14
schoolboy Why not happy
00:20:17
a writer who has such readers
00:20:19
Let's assume the readers will be happy no less
00:20:22
So the story with
00:20:26
Geography Can be so interesting
00:20:29
geography listen to how I started the plot
00:20:31
Scottish boat hunts shark
00:20:33
shark caught by her ripper
00:20:42
[music]
00:20:52
Clicquot company you know better dear Major
00:20:55
interesting There is something there and here it is
00:20:58
we will now see the forehead
00:21:14
No
00:21:18
[music]
00:21:21
a note
00:21:27
carefully
00:21:33
Allow Nothing
00:21:44
look like there are three documents here
00:21:47
copies of the same written in
00:21:50
three different languages Here it is
00:21:53
English French French
00:21:57
German, you know this language well
00:21:59
excellent Unfortunately the paper is very
00:22:01
blanket sea water is difficult to do anything
00:22:03
make out Although it makes sense Edward
00:22:05
There are very few surviving words. Probably
00:22:07
They don't really complement each other
00:22:11
destroyed the sea water in three
00:22:13
words in documents in the same places
00:22:14
So what if you try to connect
00:22:17
surviving fragments of words from all the Notes with
00:22:20
capital letter gr Maybe it's coming
00:22:22
some kind of
00:22:24
mister right here
00:22:26
the word is visible it's skipper captain well
00:22:30
Of course we are talking about the captain
00:22:31
Wrecked ship here you go
00:22:32
you see we already know something very well
00:22:34
Gentlemen, excellent, further further, Eduard here
00:22:36
in the German version kraus what is it
00:22:40
grouse Yes only
00:22:41
part here are the last two words they are easy
00:22:45
sort it out help them give them
00:22:48
let's try to connect it with the word Assistance
00:22:50
it will work out, help them
00:22:53
help Yes, that's right, help them
00:22:55
help them They need help
00:22:57
further on I go now in German
00:22:59
variant the word eye is preserved
00:23:02
in English in the same place we get
00:23:05
Glasgow is obviously a sports boat.
00:23:07
Glasgow Bravo
00:23:10
John's friends are decidedly French
00:23:13
option is the most complete of all three
00:23:16
Oh There are even numbers here and what does it mean?
00:23:18
word ozhi utyu longitude and indeed
00:23:21
there are some numbers, this is the latitude 37° 11
00:23:26
minutes Yes Bravo
00:23:28
at least one precise indication so M And where
00:23:32
longitude is not all at once cousin, look at
00:23:36
in the German version there are two very important
00:23:38
words zwei and
00:23:42
atron
00:23:43
Give it back
00:23:45
matron obviously we are talking about the captain
00:23:48
two sailors oral
00:23:51
oral
00:23:55
Well, then the crash has passed
00:23:58
hemispheres, let's see if there is any indication of
00:24:01
Name
00:24:04
countries Pay attention to the word
00:24:08
agony maybe
00:24:12
Patagonia
00:24:17
Patagonia Exactly thirty
00:24:20
the seventh parallel runs through
00:24:22
Patagonia and further across the Atlantic
00:24:24
the ocean is good So let's continue our guesses
00:24:29
The gentlemen, two sailors and the Captain reached
00:24:32
what
00:24:34
contant
00:24:36
mainland mainland contant Please apply
00:24:40
to this your attention gentlemen What exactly
00:24:41
continent and not islands. What are they?
00:24:43
fate yes they are
00:24:46
zone
00:24:48
whose prisoners are
00:24:51
prisoners of Kühl
00:24:53
Dean of the cruel Indians Oh Lord
00:24:57
Is this convincing enough for you?
00:24:59
of course yes I think I can guess how
00:25:02
the captain's name here in French
00:25:05
version of the note retains the word an
00:25:07
it matches the letters gr in English
00:25:10
option means the captain's name was
00:25:12
Grand
00:25:14
Grant
00:25:18
[music]
00:25:25
Grant Isn't this the important Scot?
00:25:28
who wanted to found Nova Scotia
00:25:30
somewhere in Quiet
00:25:33
Ocean Independent
00:25:36
Scotland free from power
00:25:40
England
00:25:42
Yes, it seems to me that you
00:25:47
you're right, that's exactly Grant
00:25:49
Here is May 30 Peru Callao Glasgow Britain
00:25:54
Grand so
00:25:56
Here
00:25:58
year he left eye on a trm ship
00:26:01
Britain and since then about NM Nothing
00:26:04
unknown now no doubt
00:26:07
this means we know almost everything
00:26:12
I'll try to restore the text now
00:26:14
this
00:26:15
notes
00:26:16
So June 7, 1860
00:26:20
year is your ship
00:26:23
Britain from the port
00:26:26
Glasgow sank off the coast of Patagonia in
00:26:29
South
00:26:30
hemisphere two sailors and Captain Grant
00:26:33
will try to reach the shore where they hit
00:26:36
V
00:26:37
captivity to the cruel
00:26:40
to the Indians This document was thrown
00:26:43
bye for now
00:26:46
unknown longitude and 37 Gras 11 minutes
00:26:50
latitude is perfect
00:26:52
Edward give them
00:26:55
help otherwise they will die
00:26:58
if these unfortunate people see theirs again
00:27:01
They will owe this to their homeland
00:27:03
they will see us happy
00:27:06
homeland This document is so clear and
00:27:09
it is certain that England cannot help but come
00:27:10
to help his three sons

thrown out onto the desert

English French and
00:29:38
German Unfortunately the water spared
00:29:40
just a few words Where is the document
00:29:42
court I would like to see the handwriting
00:29:44
his father Lord of the Admiralty He
00:29:48
hopes to get the ship sent to
00:29:49
search for the captain
00:29:56
Granta would have done the same thing in his place
00:29:58
if only the hope that I
00:30:00
zany in your
00:30:06
these people have no heart they
00:30:09
They refused. They stated that the document was dark.
00:30:11
it is not clear that the disaster occurred 4
00:30:14
years ago and that there is very little chance
00:30:15
find
00:30:16
they were assured that they were captured by
00:30:20
the Indians we were taken inland and that
00:30:23
You can’t search all of Patagonia for the sake of
00:30:24
three people three
00:30:26
Scots that the search will kill more
00:30:28
they brought people with words, words, words
00:30:32
having decided to refuse all arguments in advance They
00:30:33
remember the projects of the captain of the independent
00:30:35
Scotland and now the unfortunate Grant
00:30:38
irrevocably
00:30:42
died
00:30:47
die
00:30:48
Edward Miss Mary and her brother Robert Children
00:30:52
Captain Grant these are their lords
00:30:54
the admiralty has just been doomed to
00:30:56
orphanhood
00:31:05
Miss Mary dear Miss If only I knew
00:31:07
that you are John, we will go to these ourselves
00:31:10
gentlemen no Robert
00:31:13
no, thank you dear owners for everything
00:31:16
they did this for us, we would never do this
00:31:19
we will forget and delete what you are going to
00:31:23
do I throw myself at the feet of the queen
00:31:26
Let's see if she remains deaf to
00:31:27
according to two children
00:31:40
praying
00:31:42
me
00:31:47
Edward Captain Grant throwing it into the sea
00:31:51
the letter handed its fate to the one to whom it belonged
00:31:53
will fall into
00:31:56
hands it came to us what do you want
00:31:59
say I want to say what to start
00:32:04
married life is a great good deed
00:32:06
happiness So you Edward thought of this
00:32:10
enhancer journey to please
00:32:12
me but is it possible to experience more
00:32:15
joy Is it possible to bring more benefit
00:32:17
than saving the unfortunate ones whom she refused
00:32:20
help them
00:32:23
homeland
00:32:26
by court Isn't it Captain mang Of course
00:32:29
with blows any sailor can only
00:32:31
dreaming of such a ship means Duncan
00:32:34
can safely sail to the South Seas, but where
00:32:36
anywhere, even to the ends of the earth or even
00:32:37
around him then friends are on their way
00:32:41
let's sail in search of the captain

fast ship and the best in the world

00:36:30
knots Yes, add two more and you won’t
00:36:33
you'll be wrong
00:36:34
Apparently you have a good understanding of
00:36:36
Maritime Affairs Miri in this case, represented by
00:36:39
Captain John you will find a good friend
00:36:41
he places the maritime profession above any
00:36:43
different in the world I spent since childhood
00:36:46
time on father's ships and now If
00:36:49
need it I can take the reef you heard
00:36:52
John your crew has been replenished with one more
00:36:54
two glorious sailors
00:36:57
My lord I will make a boy out of this
00:37:00
great cabin boy or I'm not John
00:37:07
mans
00:37:14
Albee how you slept
00:37:17
Albee you look paler today than
00:37:20

00:37:25
kaka
00:37:27
God, where does he go all the time? Yes
00:37:31
gender Milord It's not on deck and what's wrong
00:37:34
you will be better if the breeze is fresher
00:37:36
don't think about it at all then
00:37:38
you will lose your faithful servant to us
00:37:40
it will be very bad
00:37:41
grab say that
00:37:45
Soshi plunges straight into the abyss
00:37:50
and privt
00:37:55

00:37:58

00:38:01

00:38:04

00:38:06
This is a man's
00:38:10
conversation Major are you going with
00:38:13
us if you order Leave him Eduard
00:38:17

00:38:19

00:38:25

00:38:36
Not
00:38:37
something bad, but not
00:38:42
enough I don't understand yet
00:38:47
what
00:38:48
Yes, there is not enough doctor clown or someone
00:38:54
Let's say Professor Lynn
00:38:57
from Journey to the Center
00:38:59
Earth
00:39:02
You see, in every novel of yours, dear
00:39:05
Jules present scientist eki
00:39:08
popularizer of science who is along the way
00:39:10
action explains a lot but this is a novel
00:39:12
for youth and I would like to get by
00:39:14
without boring explanations why it’s boring
00:39:17
you can do it like no one else
00:39:20
useful, exciting and
00:39:22
interesting And by the way most of all to you
00:39:24
portraits of people are successful
00:39:28
so you want it in the plot
00:39:30
a scientist appeared I just insist on
00:39:34
this is where you entered literature with Roman
00:39:36
you made a new type your muse
00:39:40
science the science that endowed man
00:39:44
power and helped him penetrate
00:39:46
secrets of nature, I do not advise you to retreat
00:39:49
From this
00:39:52
his ways will be
00:39:55
call Jacques or Asen Francois Marie Paganel
00:40:00
which scientist would you like to see?
00:40:02
to Duncan say honors I'll take it for
00:40:05
different plan but but you
00:40:08
you're right, great, Jules, great, that means you
00:40:13
Rewrite the beginning Isn't that good?
00:40:15
But yours is not there
00:40:19
Paganel Yes panels
00:40:25
pagane take it away I already love him in advance
00:40:29
it means it’s time for him to appear, but where is he from?
00:40:32
will take on deck
00:40:34
Duncan is surrounded by water, he won't fall from
00:40:38
sky That's right from the sky very good my
00:40:44
Paganel has an extravagant figure and
00:40:46
he must appear unusually Let him
00:40:48
will arise from nothing

00:44:24

00:45:01
nice, excuse me for introducing myself
00:45:04
but in the sea I think it’s possible
00:45:07
retreat somewhat from the secular
00:45:09
etiquette I hope our journey to
00:45:12
the company of these beautiful ladies will seem
00:45:14
we have a short and sweet king with whom I have
00:45:17
honor to speak
00:45:21
Onel secretary of Paris
00:45:23
Geographical Society member
00:45:26
correspondent for geographical societies

00:45:42
Gentlemen, do you see a man in front of you?
00:45:44
who studied geography for 20 years
00:45:46
leaving the office and finally deciding
00:45:49
take care of her
00:45:50
practically heading to India now
00:45:54

00:46:52
I saw I was very tired And besides, I
00:46:54
knew it was useful to avoid seasickness
00:46:56
lie down on the bed and do not get out of it
00:46:58
the first days of sailing, believe me, I lay down and
00:47:01
in the most conscientious manner
00:47:03
overslept 36
00:47:06
o'clock Everything is clear, we were all just at
00:47:09
churches and so Monsieur Paganel you
00:47:13
heading towards calcutta yes my lord all
00:47:15
my life I Lele dream of seeing India
00:47:17
finally my dream has come true
00:47:20
I'll get to
00:47:23
homeland of elephants cheat m not indifferent
00:47:26
visit this particular country and not
00:47:27
some other would be not only not
00:47:29
indifferent, even I would say unpleasant
00:47:30
My Lord, since I have recommendations
00:47:33
how are these letters of recommendation to the lord
00:47:35
Somerset to the Governor General of India Yes
00:47:38
instructions have also been given to geographical
00:47:39
societies m you have been given an assignment my dream
00:47:43
accomplish something that has not yet been achieved
00:47:45
one traveler to explore
00:47:47
the flow of the Tsank River along which from the North
00:47:50
goes around the Himalayan mountains doesn't it merge
00:47:52
it is in the region with the Brahmaputra River
00:47:54
And already there
00:47:56
which will be able to illuminate this
00:47:59
the question will be guaranteed golden
00:48:03
Mr. Paganel's medal is undeniable
00:48:06
have a wonderful trip and science for you
00:48:08
I'm grateful for it but I can't take it longer
00:48:10
keep you in the dark The thing is that in
00:48:12
you will have to give up soon
00:48:15
from the pleasure of visiting
00:48:17
India
00:48:19
refuse
00:48:22
Why Because you are the one
00:48:25
opposite the peninsula
00:48:28
Hindustan what kind of joke is Captain Burton me
00:48:32
not Captain Burton Yes, sorry Mister
00:48:34
Barnes and Scotland I hope this is a ship
00:48:37
Not
00:48:39
Scotland What do you think of it?
00:48:42
it's called it's called
00:48:54
Duncan
00:48:59
[laughter]
00:49:12
Please tell me dear how
00:49:13
called
00:49:17
[music]
00:49:24
yours
00:49:28
[music]
00:49:42
in my opinion it is the height of absent-mindedness to swim in
00:49:44
America when I was going to India you know
00:49:47
I've heard about it and there's nothing here
00:49:50
amazing for me Jacques Ponel
00:49:52
an outstanding scientist but he is more than that
00:49:54
known to his
00:50:04
Well, what are we going to do about this poor thing?
00:50:06
we can't take him with us
00:50:08
chase Why not Should we
00:50:12
be responsible for his absent-mindedness if he
00:50:14
got on the wrong train, he wouldn't have been able to do it
00:50:16
turn back Of course not, but he
00:50:19
he could get off at the nearest station
00:50:21
do this in the first Harbor where We are
00:50:24
let's stop
00:50:28
Mr. Yes, you are looking there, I'm lost
00:50:32
on this your
00:50:35
Dunne, wait, I’ll help you now Dada
00:50:39
please help me I want to go back to
00:50:41
Let me see you out sir Yes
00:50:51
thanks, what are we going to do about this?
00:50:54
baym
00:51:01
only this could happen to me but
00:51:05
breakfast shouldn't suffer from this
00:51:07
Sorry Mister Garel but you are busy
00:51:09
captain's place Oh pardon Pardon pardon
00:51:15
Sorry, it's still an adventure
00:51:23
I still have to do something amazing
00:51:26
come to terms with it Well what can you do
00:51:31
And my cabin was ordered on Scotland A
00:51:35
my luggage my clothes about Scotland to you
00:51:39
have to
00:51:42
forget Well, where is your Duncan going to
00:51:46
America Mr. Paganel to America yes A
00:51:49
where exactly is concepcion
00:51:51
V
00:51:53
Chile in Chile
00:51:57
how will I show up at the meeting now?
00:51:59
Geographical Society don't despair
00:52:02
Mister We will soon enter the island
00:52:04
modeira and there you will transfer to another ship
00:52:08
that will take you back to
00:52:12
Europe Thank you sir but to me
00:52:15
Seems
00:52:16
What
00:52:24
nka
00:52:27
who asks you without hesitation
00:52:28
enjoy it
00:52:30
hospitality I am eternally grateful
00:52:33
you My Lord but allow me to express
00:52:37
very simple
00:52:40
consideration
00:52:42
India is a beautiful country it is full of
00:52:46
surprise for
00:52:47
travelers Yes, we probably haven’t been
00:52:50
there And since you have an amplifier
00:52:52
the trip costs you a little
00:52:56
straight to the ring Mr. Paganel
00:53:00
If this was a travel enhancer I
00:53:02
without hesitation I would say let's all
00:53:04
Let's head to India together and I think Lord
00:53:06
Glenarvan wouldn't be against it, but the point is
00:53:09
that our Duncan is sailing to America on
00:53:11
searching for Captain Grant whose ship
00:53:14
Wrecked off the coast of Patagonia
00:53:16
so so so Captain Grant I say something about him
00:53:19
I read in French newspapers it seems
00:53:22
we are talking about a note found in a bottle
00:53:26
Miss Grant comes out, Miss Grant and her brother
00:53:29
Robert children of this brave
00:53:32
captain
00:53:35
nfa Let me express my hope in
00:53:39
prosperous
00:53:40
outcome
00:53:42
your his
00:53:45
enterprises Thank you Mr.
00:53:47
Paganel I never stop praying to God for that
00:53:50
so that my father turned out
00:53:52
alive then we will find him
00:53:56
I'll give it to you
00:53:58
meme I endlessly admire your
00:54:01
by deed let your yacht continue
00:54:04
my way I would not forgive myself if
00:54:06
delayed her at least for one day and not
00:54:09
do you want mr paganel
00:54:10
join our
00:54:14
expedition with pleasure madam but me
00:54:18
I need to carry out the assignment given to me
00:54:22
I'll have to get off at the first parking lot
00:54:24
means in the Canary Islands
00:54:26
Ayan was then in the Canary Islands. Well
00:54:29
Mr. Paganel I am glad for the opportunity
00:54:31
see you for a few days as a guest on my
00:54:32
yacht But I was lucky that I was wrong
00:54:35
by ship like that
00:54:38

00:56:28
make a stop in the Canary Islands
00:56:30
no, then why go there?
00:56:33
The Canary Islands are too well known
00:56:36
written BC said Yes open on them
00:56:39
anything new difficult little entertainment
00:56:42
Well, as for entertainment, then for
00:56:44
It's interesting for a geographer to be able to see it
00:56:47
science but open anything there after
00:56:50
Great Goomba is impossible, he climbed to
00:56:53
the very top of Teneri Peak is not even there
00:56:57
was to sit down and ask what to do
00:56:59
trash on this mountain after this
00:57:01
Great
00:57:02
scientist, what do you intend to do?
00:57:04
Mister Ponel Where were you going?
00:57:06
make your next stop at
00:57:09
Conne in Chile Ay damn me this
00:57:14
Nothing is extremely distant from India
00:57:16
scary as soon as we come to South America
00:57:20
it's not coming
00:57:23
Mra ST India o milor such an argument is not
00:57:27
Monsieur Paganel came to my mind
00:57:29
but won't you go with us?
00:57:34
Milady And my instructions to Isa Paganel
00:57:38
I warn you, we will pass the Magellans
00:57:40
Strait sir you are the tempter and then you
00:57:43
must take into account that France
00:57:45
could share Scotland's honor
00:57:47
participate in this expedition and Geographer
00:57:49
it was useful to our expedition correctly
00:57:51
Robert Besides, what could it be?
00:57:52
better than putting science to work
00:57:54
people
00:57:55
This is well said and then you do the same
00:57:57
just like we must rely on will
00:57:59
case, or rather, it gave us in
00:58:01
hands this letter and we went to
00:58:03
the journey that brought you to Duncan
00:58:05
so don't leave us, you know the Lord

Henri Every time you write a new one
01:07:44
novel you are starting to confuse my name So
01:07:48
it's a great honor to be a prototype
01:07:49
literary
01:07:52
hero
01:07:55
I read your latest book This is the guy
01:08:00
which you drew from me to me completely
01:08:03
didn't like it
01:08:04
rather narrow-minded fellow wouldn't I
01:08:09
I wanted to look like a laughing stock I dare you
01:08:13
report I have
01:08:15
bride but she really doesn't read
01:08:19
books But you never know what evil tongues will say
01:08:23
good good
01:08:26
ok I promise that in the new novel you
01:08:29
you'll look real
01:08:31
perform a lot of deeds as a hero and
01:08:34
you will die like
01:08:37
brave man, I don't like jokes like that, monsieur
01:08:40
even if they do this to mine

don't be offended by the copy, Henri, I'll think about it

01:10:24
Thank you, I see you here often and see you
01:10:28
that you know a lot about books I can
01:10:31
offer you this one and I assure you
01:10:35
I assure you that you will get sleepless
01:10:40
night you smile but ask anyone
01:10:43
a Parisian boy who knows how to read and write, he
01:10:46
will say that all of Paris is counted as novels
01:10:48
Jules And who is this Jules How do you not know
01:10:51
who is Jules? This is famous
01:10:54
traveler he has traveled all over the world and you
01:10:57
you know he even went down into the crater
01:11:00
active volcano So it became
01:11:02
describes what he saw and captivates
01:11:05
details in his essay
01:11:08
which are not allowed
01:11:10
It’s unlikely to come up with this. This can be said about
01:11:12
the book you are holding in your hands or
01:11:15
the author sat in that shell which
01:11:16
went to earth
01:11:18
the moon means you read this
01:11:22
book you find fault with monsieur Well, what
01:11:26
the Parisian will deny himself the pleasure
01:11:28
embellish my story a little
01:11:31
I heard that
01:11:35
zulverik
01:11:44
well, it's nonsense but nothing
01:11:52
zhulverik what are you saying Paul, somehow
01:11:55
may not exist on this basis
01:11:56
You can deny the Lord God Only
01:11:58
because he did a lot
01:12:06
zulverik
01:12:09
This is Captain Grant Who is the captain
01:12:12
Grant This is the famous English pirate
01:12:16
fabulously rich type Be healthy
01:12:20
right you surprise me Well
01:12:22
probably mixing, well, think for yourself
01:12:24
Can one person accomplish so much?
01:12:26
write Do you know who you are with now?
01:12:29
talked to ourselves
01:12:52
zulverik
01:12:54
Here you are, my famous friend thanks
01:12:57
to you, monsieur
01:12:59
I wasn't the only one lucky enough to insert into

01:13:09
Vern So thank your clear

01:13:19

01:13:23

01:13:51

01:14:12

01:14:26
Glenarvana and his friends before
01:14:29
Patagonia is not there yet, they are not

the southern part of the American continent and there
01:16:22

01:16:42
no, if it's even a ship, it's not
01:16:48
Britain Captain n accurately indicated the latitude
01:16:51
shipwreck 37 11 minutes that's how it is
01:16:54
and this is the top of underwater rock A
01:16:58
where are we? And we are on
01:17:01
latitude 52° 37 minutes, we'll pass the strait
01:17:05
let's go out into the ocean and along the western
01:17:08
the coast of America will rise to thirty
01:17:10
seventh
01:17:13

01:17:16
didn't even suspect that he had discovered a new one
01:17:19
Light why four times He pestered
01:17:23
America from various
01:17:24
shores, moreover, counting these shores
01:17:27
Chinese or Japanese
01:17:30
alas America didn't even inherit it
01:17:33

01:17:35
America is America Magellan on the way
01:17:39
which we sail in 1520 on our
01:17:42
ship tridat he was the first to pass through this
01:17:47
strait Oh what He must have
01:17:49
feel joy when in front of him
01:17:51
eyes sparkling under the rays of the sun

it's the ocean

01:18:19

01:19:50
insight is not our mistake
01:19:52
interpretation of the document
01:19:53
Are the words we added logical? Is it true?
01:19:57
the word chase doesn't catch your eye
01:20:00
doesn't the word Indians mean that?
01:20:03
that the castaways were captured by
01:20:05
to the Indians the last conclusion seems to me
01:20:08
wrong what you want to say I
01:20:10
I want to say that Captain Grant has already
01:20:14
captured by the Indians This is instead of
01:20:18
read will become prisoners need to read
01:20:21
become
01:20:23
and why can't it be no
01:20:25
impossible my friend the bottle could be
01:20:28
abandoned only when the ship
01:20:30
Oska crashed Why are the victims
01:20:31
the crashes couldn't do it after that
01:20:33
how the Indians took them deep into the mainland Yes
01:20:35
because dear paganel so
01:20:36
throw a bottle into the sea you have to be by the sea
01:20:38
or due to the absence of the sea At the rivers flowing
01:20:40
V
01:20:42
him so you so you think I think it should
01:20:46
follow along thirty-seventh
01:20:48
parallels to the point where this parallel
01:20:51
goes into the Atlantic Ocean look
01:20:53
here is Rio Negro here is Rio Colorado any of
01:20:57
these rivers could easily be carried into the sea
01:20:59
bottle with a document What if our friends
01:21:02
there they languish in captivity and await deliverance
01:21:04
Can we deceive their hopes if we
01:21:06
on our direct path we will not find any traces
01:21:07
Captain Grant, let's move along three lines
01:21:11
parallels further beyond
01:21:13
ocean yes my father
01:21:21
there is rejection that will bring you down
01:21:24
only dangers
01:21:26
dangers who said a word here
01:21:29
danger is not
01:21:33
I
01:21:36
So
01:21:38
it's decided we'll go and
01:21:45
immediately who
01:21:48
will go through Anty, you'll have to walk
01:21:51
So only men poison Lord Gwan

01:29:45
both do not suit us, one lies to the north

01:30:04

01:30:08
you know this passage is barely noticeable
01:30:11
trail shepherds Indians Usually drive
01:30:14
along it there is a skid with a high slope Well then
01:30:19
friends where the herds pass, let's pass and
01:30:21
We
01:30:22
especially since this passage takes us in a straight line
01:30:24
lines It seems to me there is no need. Exactly.
01:30:28
not everyone follows these parallels
01:30:31
the shortest path is a straight line we believe
01:30:34
that Captain Gran is in captivity of the Indians
01:30:36
we can meet Indians only in

the pampas would become through the cordillera we
01:30:41
we can go any convenient for us

04:08:14
I didn't think about
04:08:16
this
04:08:21
I thought, but what are our chances of success?
04:08:24
leaving the American mainland we
04:08:26
moving away from the place indicated by ourselves
04:08:27
Harry Grant we are moving away from Patagonia
04:08:30
which is so clearly stated in
04:08:32
document poor sister listen to me
04:08:36
my friends and you Robert, try
04:08:38
take a good look at what I'm saying
04:08:40
Very
04:08:42
important I will do everything to find
04:08:44
captain
04:08:45
Granta, I obliged to do this if
04:08:48
I will need to dedicate my entire life to this
04:08:52
life, all of Scotland will help me find
04:08:54
a man so devoted
04:08:57
her and how many chances for success I am ready
04:09:01
circumnavigate the entire earth
04:09:04
ball But that’s not the question now, it’s
04:09:06
World Cup
04:09:08
Should I finally give up?
04:09:10
searches in American
04:09:15
mainland so what was Major before
04:09:19
all we have to do is find out through what
04:09:22
countries are passing through a parallel Well, this is
04:09:25
parts
04:09:27
Paganel Could you please for a minute?
04:09:29

04:09:32

phenomenal gentlemen
04:10:38
we are looking for Captain Grant where he is not
04:10:41
how to explain your idea Just calmly
04:10:44
the moment I said Australia
04:10:47
Suddenly it lit me up like lightning and that’s it
04:10:49
it became clear So you think that Harry
04:10:53
Grand
04:10:55
yes the word oral which we translated as
04:10:58
Southern is actually not a full word but
04:11:01
excerpt
04:11:02
slo Australia interesting interesting this
04:11:07
simply impossible impossible I don't know
04:11:10
such a word It’s good if you think that
04:11:12
the word oral means Australia means
04:11:15
you have to acknowledge existence there
04:11:16
Indians who were never there
04:11:18
do not rush to celebrate Major I am now
04:11:20
I'll break your head and believe me
04:11:22
never before has it happened to an Englishman
04:11:24
to endure such a defeat, break it well
04:11:26
Paganel will be very happy to listen to me
04:11:28
This document also says little about
04:11:30
Indians as well as about Patagonia, Andy's word
04:11:32
which you translated as Engin means
04:11:36
Andy Jean Natives and what's in Australia
04:11:39
there are Natives, you probably admit yes
04:11:41
don't confuse me with yours then
04:11:43
false interpretations, find this one myself
04:11:45
document I couldn't have it any other way
04:11:47
understand Well, how will it be read?
04:11:49
document with your new interpretation So

question

God is always possible
04:19:35
turn out to be a mouth

labor Do you travel a lot?
04:19:42
I have a very great profession
04:19:45
costs me
04:19:46
take a blank sheet of paper and dip your pen
04:19:49
in ink I'm already sitting on top of the volcano
04:19:52
there is a roar or flounder in the lake
04:19:55
titicaca What is the future of your
04:20:05
books
04:20:08
I think there will be them soon
04:20:11
they'll forget like this
04:20:15
Why do people strive to live in their own
04:20:18
pleasure Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer of them
04:20:20
interested in literature based on
04:20:22
moral
04:20:24
principles What are these principles
04:20:27
please formulate the main task
04:20:29
your his
04:20:32
creativity transformation of the world if
04:20:35
want to
04:20:37
Yes, I will paint a picture of the world in which we
04:20:41
we live and let the reader think
04:20:43
is he perfect on the globe
04:20:46
Half a billion people live here
04:20:49
300 Miln live in China alone
04:20:52
300 but half the population of our planet
04:20:55
lives simply in prog But our planet
04:20:59
can feed 100
04:21:05
MLR to create a world in which we live, you
04:21:09
write a lot about
04:21:10
science What is it like
04:21:13
Will we become the future in our lifetime?
04:21:16
witnesses of great discoveries Not far away
04:21:18
the time when the achievements of science will surpass
04:21:21
people will soon build the power of imagination
04:21:24
heavier-than-air aircraft

04:21:32
evil with

04:21:36
depends on the distance and therefore success
04:21:39
sciences should not in any way overtake
04:21:42
improvement of morals aka science
04:21:45
Signor Vern will become very dangerous
04:21:48
Please answer this question
04:21:52
quite a normal person
04:21:54
Yes
04:21:56
I hope all your heroes are crazy
04:21:59
brave men
04:22:00
It's not true all my characters are normal
04:22:03
people can't stand crazy people
04:22:07
happiness smiles at the brave and not
04:22:09
reckless master in your books
04:22:13
man always emerges victorious
04:22:16

04:22:19

04:22:21
religion Mr. Darwin claims that
04:22:24
man king

no man One of the most amazing
04:22:32
creatures of nature but no more
04:22:35
human superiority
04:22:37
not in conquering nature but in something completely different
04:22:39
to comprehend it to preserve the soul
04:22:41
calm before the riot of matter man
04:22:44
should be able to say I can

04:24:43
this country is hard to beat
04:24:45
surprised and will continue to surprise
04:24:48
scientists in total
04:24:50
this is the most paradoxical country in the world
04:24:54
continent where there is no moisture either in the air or in
04:24:56
soil Here even the leaves are facing
04:25:00
The sun is not a surface but an edge and not
04:25:02
provide shade where quadrupeds have beaks
04:25:06
For example, in the echidna and
04:25:09
the platypus is the most
04:25:13
bizarre most illogical country
04:25:16
some kind of violation of the laws of nature
04:25:21
paganel you are just a well of knowledge
04:25:25
you just need to lower the bucket and scoop
04:25:28

whatever I know the globe as well as
04:25:33
own pocket pocket yes I'm sure
04:25:36
Dear Paganel, what are you still not
04:25:38
you know what and in what pocket you have
04:25:41
is located and the air here is so rich
04:25:46
oxygen and nitrogen-poor, which is the most
04:25:50
beneficial
04:25:56
[applause]
04:26:02
way the blade was cut off
04:26:06
purely and the climate here has
04:26:10
properties downright
04:26:16
has an implausible effect on
04:26:18
morality the air here is dry
04:26:21
pours out not only laundry but also
04:26:24
human
04:26:25
souls have been a property of the local climate for a long time
04:26:29
understood in England here Luda for
04:26:31

04:26:35
Mister Paganel will be with you in this
04:26:37

Gentlemen, but caution in these
04:27:59
there are no places
04:28:04
extra
04:28:10
You are welcome to the house of Padi Amur in
04:28:13
Irishman
04:28:15
I was once Irish, now I'm a lot
04:28:18
years old
04:28:19
Australian please
04:28:22
[music]
04:28:32
Gentlemen's word they forced us to go
04:28:38
but unfortunately we realized ours too late
04:28:41
mistake and passage through South America
04:28:44
turned out to be
04:28:47
in vain It seems to me that now we
04:28:49
we are on the right track
04:28:51
way the word is sharp, preserved in
04:28:54
the French text of the note cannot
04:28:56
mean nothing other than
04:29:01
yelled
04:29:04
Australia
04:29:09
and here we are
04:29:12
Australia And now that you know everything
04:29:15
Tell me, have you heard about the ship that
04:29:18
crashed here
04:29:21
waters
04:29:25
no, I've been living here for many years
04:29:34
But
04:29:36
No I don't know anything
04:29:40
Britain Nor about the captain
04:29:49
Grante
04:29:51
ri understand
04:29:53
don't despair Miss Mary hope and
04:29:57
Trust in
04:29:58
God yes yes Miss Mary Le Delen is right
04:30:01
We will
04:30:02
hope when all means are exhausted
04:30:05
holding suddenly shows us new
04:30:08
ways to thank God
04:30:11
lo if Captain Gran is alive he is in
04:30:16
Australia Who is this
04:30:21
[music]
04:30:34
said
04:30:46
I'm as Scottish as you are, my lord.
04:30:49
one of the Britannia castaways
04:30:52
You are from Britain I was a boatswain for the captain
04:31:04
Granta
04:31:06
and you were saved with him
04:31:09
No, I was washed ashore
04:31:13
washed away by the wave so aren't you one of those two
04:31:16
sailors mentioned in
04:31:17
document I had no idea
04:31:21
the existence of this document Where is
04:31:24
Captain, what happened to him, I thought he was dead
04:31:28
together with Britain that I was saved, he said
04:31:32
katana
04:31:34
nji said if Captain Grant is alive and
04:31:37
added that he is in Australia Yes he can
04:31:39
just be
04:31:43
here So you don't know where
04:31:46
he is unknown to me, my lord, I repeat
04:31:49
I thought that he drowned in the waves or
04:31:51
crashed on the rocks, I learn from you that
04:31:54
he may still be
04:31:56
what are you alive then?
04:31:59
you only know that if Captain Grant
04:32:02
he can only be alive in Australia
04:32:05
So where did the crash happen at 37°?
04:32:10
on the West Coast Oh no on the East Coast
04:32:13
And when is it
04:32:16
happened on the night of the twenty-second of June
04:32:22
in the sixties everything definitely fits
04:32:26
what I said everything fits absolutely
04:32:28
it fits you see Milord I had everything
04:32:31
reasons to say what I said if
04:32:34
Captain Grant is alive, we need to look for him
04:32:36
only on the Australian mainland Nowhere
04:32:37
more and we will definitely definitely
04:32:40
let's find his precious letter What
04:32:43
lucky that it fell into the hands of such people
04:32:46
insightful people
04:32:49
but I remember you, gentlemen, you
04:32:53
attended the farewell breakfast
04:32:54
which the Captain gave
04:32:57
Grant But this mana was entrusted
04:33:02
look after my older friend
04:33:04
Sailor Dick
04:33:06
Turner, do you remember how you broke away from him and
04:33:11
climbed the bom salling
04:33:16
True true I am
04:33:21
I remember, so you are bossa with
04:33:34
Britain
04:33:39
I survived a shipwreck
04:33:44
agreement Now I'll show you
04:33:57
his
04:33:59
gentlemen gentlemen Trust me Arton
04:34:02
an honest man He serves me not in
04:34:06
How can I blame him for what he went through?
04:34:09
I knew shipwrecks before
04:34:11
I just didn’t know what his ship was called
04:34:15
Brittany he was in for a long time
04:34:18
captured by the Natives, then escaped and crossed
04:34:21
the entire Australian continent And here he is
04:34:25
I needed a worker at Mayak and I got him
04:34:34
took
04:34:59
Yes this is my handwriting
04:35:04
father
04:35:07
So we need to decide immediately what
04:35:09
we should
04:35:11
take your advice Arton We will
04:35:14
especially valuable Please thank you for
04:35:17
confidence
04:35:21
My lord
04:35:23
Well, I
04:35:25
I think since Captain Grant two sailors are not
04:35:29
got to the English possessions and about them
04:35:32
there are no
04:35:34
information, they probably got in like I did
04:35:37
captured by some earthly tribe
04:35:40
But they could have been taken far north of 37
04:35:43
parallels this will complicate our search and how
04:35:47
find prisoners on such a huge
04:35:50
mainland What would you do Mister
04:35:53
Arton I am the court
04:35:58
Yes I will return
04:36:00
Nan and
04:36:04
there was a crash and I would have acted there
04:36:08
as appropriate Duncan
04:36:11
needs to
04:36:13
repair So that means you have on the ship
04:36:17
serious
04:36:18
no damage but for correction
04:36:22
you need equipment that is not on the ship
04:36:24
So you'll have to go to Melbourne. Isn't it possible?
04:36:27
not allowed under sails, but in oncoming traffic
04:36:30
in the wind the transition will drag on and go into
04:36:32
Melbourne Sun equals
04:36:34
need goes to Melbourne and we are without him
04:36:37
How will we get to Tufeld Bay?
04:36:40
way we
04:36:43
let's cross South America sticking to
04:36:46
thirty-seventh parallel
04:36:48
What about Duncan Duncan or will he come to us
04:36:53
or we'll come to Duncan it will be
04:36:54
depend on the circumstances if we
04:36:57
his
04:36:58
crossing we find Captain Grant then we
04:37:00
we'll return to Melbourne with him. What if
04:37:02
we will continue our search to the coast
04:37:05
then Duncan will approach
04:37:08
us Well, if the transition is possible, possible
04:37:12
so possible that I
04:37:14
I suggest Lady Helen and Miss Mary
04:37:17
join us it would be
04:37:20
beautiful you say seriously paganel
04:37:22
x quite some 350 km for quite
04:37:26
populated area where there are roads
04:37:29
trains are like walking from
04:37:31
London to
04:37:32
Edinburgh the Tempter
04:37:35
interesting paganel yes What are you on
04:37:39
are going to cross
04:37:41
Australia
04:37:42
riding on his spy
04:37:48
the pipe will need
04:37:52
horses horses can be bought in the nearby
04:37:55
village And I will help you buy everything
04:37:57
necessary for a long trip
04:38:01
My Lord I think I would be useful to you
04:38:03
on this journey my assistant Tom
04:38:05
Austin will skillfully carry out repairs and
04:38:07
will transfer the ship Where needed at the appointed time
04:38:09
term Tom is a long man
04:38:13
disciplines you go with
04:38:16
us It's better if you
04:38:19
be present when we find Miss's father
04:38:25
mei Well, you are airton
04:38:29
do you agree to take part in our
04:38:33
searching
04:38:37
[music]
04:39:03
With
04:39:09
beautiful ship you have Captain above This
04:39:13
the main thing is how many nodes
04:39:15
[music]
04:39:19
gives one warship will not keep up with
04:39:22
You are right NN is a real racing yacht
04:39:26
then please accept congratulations
04:39:33
Morka will become us Duncan
04:39:36
[music]
04:39:38
I'll think about yours
04:39:41
[music]
04:39:51
this Do you want to try me I ask you
04:39:55
keep hold
04:39:57
cre then
04:40:03
I
04:40:07
[applause]
04:40:09
[music]
04:40:53
[music]
04:41:00
[music]
04:41:19
[music]
04:41:26
what did I tell you, quite civilized
04:41:30
terrain comes Progress and goes
04:41:33
poetry is empty
04:41:36
and Where are the aborigines Mr. Ro
04:41:41
a quarter of a century ago we would have already met
04:41:44
On the way, more than one earthly tribe will pass
04:41:46
ten years on this continent too
04:41:49
Aboriginal tribes will completely disappear
04:41:53
What savages were you running from?
04:41:56
Ayrton is one of the tribes of the inner
04:42:00
Australia And what can a European do?
04:42:02
among these natives
04:42:04
what I did was hunt with them and catch
04:42:07
fish take part in
04:42:09
battles, if a European is not stupid and brave, he
04:42:14
occupies an enviable position in the tribe but
04:42:16
still he remains
04:42:18
they don't take their eyes off him as a prisoner
04:42:20
during the day
04:42:22
at night and still you managed
04:42:26
escape Yes Mister mana I escaped in time
04:42:30
battles between my tribe and the neighboring one
04:42:33
I was just lucky
04:42:36
a Repeat all this, I think I would prefer
04:42:39
eternal slavery God grant that Captain
04:42:42
Grant tried to escape the same way
04:42:45
way
04:42:46
airton you lived in for a long time
04:42:49
Australia probably understands the language well
04:42:52
savages are not too good for everyone
04:42:55
the tribe has its own dialect, but I have to explain myself
04:42:58
I can still say something
04:43:02
exactly Well for example
04:43:04
How
04:43:05
hello and oh
04:43:10
oe
04:43:12
oh it's beautiful to remember
04:43:16

04:51:08
a pleasant surprise It's been a while

04:51:13
compatriots Hello Phil
04:51:15
Hello
04:51:17
Arton What are these mountains called, sir?
04:51:21
the trash Australian Alps Mademoiselle and
04:51:25
here the Alps must be said that yours
04:51:27
fellow geographers is quite meager
04:51:29
fantasy is pocket mountains we are not
04:51:32
we'll notice how we get through
04:51:36
who comes to you in such
04:51:38
deserted place about shepherds sir those who
04:51:40
drives herds to the mountains in spring and autumn

It's quite crowded here. Please, gentlemen.
04:51:44

04:51:59
coolness oh what bliss Yes Dada
04:52:03
Please
04:52:06
Allow Australian New Zealand
04:52:11
newspaper
04:52:32
Interesting
04:52:34
listen to what's here
04:52:38
our readers write remember that 21
04:52:42
December there was a robbery
04:52:45
mail car in the area
04:52:49
kims
04:52:52
bridge investigation showed that it is
04:52:55
is the work of convicts for six months
04:52:58
back those who escaped from Perko Correctional
04:53:02
prisons
04:53:06
in the gang of about 20 people the leaders of a certain
04:53:08
Ben Joyce the most dangerous criminal
04:53:11
a few months ago
04:53:32
will sail
04:53:34
main
04:53:36
Inspector
04:53:38
police
04:53:40
Michel this scoundrel would be worth it
04:53:43
hang thank you
04:53:46
SR And the main thing is not bad to catch
04:53:50
E 100 pounds sterling is a lot of money and
04:53:53
he doesn't
04:53:54
worth I believe that the presence of fugitives
04:53:57
convicts cannot change Ours
04:54:00
plans What do you think about this
04:54:09
John if Lady Glenn and
04:54:12
Miss Grant bothered me very little
04:54:15
would be a bunch of scoundrels of course
04:54:17
that there is no question of us
04:54:18
refused to take on the task but
04:54:22
considering what's with us
04:54:27
ladies, it might make sense to go to
04:54:32
along the coast and resume the search for Gary
04:54:37
Granta your opinion
04:54:45
Major I would like to get your opinion
04:54:50
Ayrton, danger threatens us in the south
04:54:54
the road is no less than
04:54:57
Eastern, both of them are deserted, one stands
04:55:02
another And then I think that two dozen
04:55:06
intruders cannot be feared
04:55:08
for six brave and armed people
04:55:12
Why
04:55:14
six And you don't consider me Mister
04:55:18
art No No No baby Of course I thought
04:55:23
you but forgot about myself and so us
04:55:27
Seme it turns out we're nothing
04:55:32
him
04:55:34
you have proven your Bravery more than once
04:55:37
So
04:55:38
we are virgin people you know I also think that
04:55:42
a brave man has no reason to be afraid
04:55:45
some escaped convicts K
04:55:48
besides, continuing on our way we can
04:55:50
get on the trail of Captain Grant Well then
04:55:53
then there's nothing else to talk about
04:55:56
consideration
04:55:58
Lord Isn't it time to send an order to nnu
04:56:01
stay close to the shores
04:56:03
Why and if there is some case
04:56:06
will make us head to Melbourne after all
04:56:08
Then you'll have to regret that it's not there
04:56:11
Duncan let's get to the bay
04:56:14
then we'll send tufeld
04:56:25

05:05:31

05:05:34

05:05:38

05:05:43
horses A
05:05:47

05:05:52
I'll explain, go to
05:05:55

05:06:01

05:06:03

05:06:33
[music]
05:06:51
[music]
05:06:58
Well then what then?
05:07:01
go
05:07:26
[music]
05:07:31
O
05:08:01
O
05:08:18
well now we only have one left
05:08:21
horse
05:08:22
which survived thanks to Major A yes
05:08:28
[music]
05:08:31
Weird
05:08:33
I noticed another one
05:08:35
strange thing, that horse survived
05:08:37
which was shod by a blacksmith from Black
05:08:42
point Accident and
05:08:50
only a sudden death of horses caught
05:08:53
travelers are right in the middle
05:08:54
paths in the very center of South
05:08:57
[music]
05:09:01
Australia
05:09:10
Now we can only go on foot
05:09:12
Edward and I will not be a burden to you. We
05:09:15
we can also walk, maybe not
05:09:17
so fast Dada of course so go to
05:09:21
coast of the Lord What could be
05:09:24
conversations What
05:09:28
you say
05:09:31
With
05:09:33
sail to the east
05:09:34
the coast needs to send Messenger Prim here
05:09:38
Duncan Do you really think that if the yacht
05:09:41
will come to the bay of shoes, it will be easier for us
05:09:43
get to
05:09:45
there is no coast but then we will meet
05:09:48
a detachment of sailors will be able to leave with us
05:09:51
The hardest part of the journey lies ahead
05:09:53
you'll have to make your way with an ax
05:09:56
What you say
05:10:01
time
05:10:06
careful then we just have to choose
05:10:10
A messenger who decides to go with
05:10:23
by letter, with your permission, Milord, I will go
05:10:27
I I know this one
05:10:31
edge
05:10:32
where the other one is
05:10:36
will die Give me a letter and I guarantee
05:10:39
in a week Duncan will be in the bay
05:10:44
tul Well aerton you are a man
05:10:47
brave
05:10:52
