00:00:01
watch for a few days uh so lazy p on
00:00:04
video about ashes of creation i don't
00:00:06
know if we have a date for like the
00:00:07
second alpha or the second beta but
00:00:10
we're gonna find out it's been just over
00:00:12
two years since i made that big overview
00:00:14
video for ashes of creation two point
00:00:17
six million views the hype train still i
00:00:19
watched that two years worth of
00:00:21
development updates later i decided to
00:00:23
make an updated version of that video so
00:00:26
grab a cup of tea sit back and relax
00:00:28
whilst i explain to you why ashes of
00:00:30
creation is still by far the most
00:00:33
exciting upcoming mmorpg this video has
00:00:36
no sponsor and took a solid 40 hours of
00:00:39
writing recordings
00:00:41
so if you'd like to support my work and
00:00:43
plan on playing ashes when it releases
00:00:45
then click my referral link in the
00:00:47
description below or use my code to
00:00:49
create an account i don't even have one
00:00:51
actually
00:00:52
probably still one of the ashes of
00:00:53
creation is the biggest upcoming western
00:00:55
mmorpg in terms of scope hoping to
00:00:58
provide foundation pvp pve and role play
00:01:01
content an ever-changing virtual world
00:01:04
in which the progression of each server
00:01:06
is completely different and dependent on
00:01:08
the actions of the player base one thing
00:01:10
you have to understand is like the main
00:01:12
guy that like runs this game his name
00:01:14
steven he like the main games like he i
00:01:17
hear him talking about a lot that he
00:01:18
played was like lineage and archeage
00:01:22
just like to contextualize some of the
00:01:25
philosophy and uh insight that's going
00:01:27
into this game ash's started development
00:01:29
back in 2016 in unreal engine 4 however
00:01:32
at the end of 2021 upgraded its engine
00:01:35
to unreal 5. this was to make use of the
00:01:38
latest advancements in gaming tech such
00:01:40
as
00:01:41
lumen and the more efficient development
00:01:43
pipeline in terms of funding the game
00:01:45
was successfully kick-started in 2017
00:01:48
however the vast majority of the game's
00:01:50
funding comes from creative director
00:01:53
stephen sharif a successful entrepreneur
00:01:55
who like most of us has been a lifelong
00:01:58
mmo fan that was unhappy with the
00:02:00
current state of the mmo genre i love
00:02:03
that man like he said you know what i'm
00:02:04
[ __ ] sick of this [ __ ] i'm sick of
00:02:06
these [ __ ] these games being bad i'm
00:02:09
just gonna do my own game i love it man
00:02:12
i do ashes of creation is fully funded
00:02:14
to completion and despite offering paid
00:02:17
access to alpha and beta tests is not
00:02:20
reliant on these funds to finish
00:02:22
development
00:02:23
i remember that uh 15 sub no box cost
00:02:26
and no pay to win so that's the
00:02:27
monetization option or monetization
00:02:29
structure of ashes of creation they're
00:02:32
already selling cosmetics for the game
00:02:34
so
00:02:35
cosmetic sales are important but steven
00:02:38
has vocalized concerns that a lot of
00:02:41
people have had about the uh you know
00:02:43
the cosmetics in the shop being better
00:02:45
than the ones in the game and he has
00:02:48
said that that's not what's gonna happen
00:02:50
in the game so uh that that's that's
00:02:53
pretty much where it's at this game will
00:02:54
have zero pay to win a cosmetic only
00:02:56
cash shop with no convenience items and
00:02:59
a fifteen dollar per month subscription
00:03:01
fee business model with no i it would be
00:03:04
really great i don't know if this is
00:03:05
possible uh i have no idea but it would
00:03:08
be really great if you could play the
00:03:09
game like on effectively a free trial
00:03:11
like i think that's one of the biggest
00:03:13
advantages that like nobody really talks
00:03:15
about i mean i say that but like that's
00:03:16
like the meme with final fantasy is like
00:03:19
have you heard about the [ __ ] you
00:03:20
know the whatever the hell it is uh
00:03:23
the having a big free trial and being
00:03:25
able to play the game without paying
00:03:27
money into it and get invested into it
00:03:30
initially is like super important and
00:03:32
the fact is like in the market now every
00:03:34
game is free to play every game you can
00:03:37
get into for free and i think wow is one
00:03:39
of the exceptions and i think that's one
00:03:40
of the reasons why it's losing players
00:03:42
is because a lot of people are just like
00:03:45
uh you know they don't want to put the
00:03:46
money they don't want to invest into the
00:03:48
game they want to just try it out and
00:03:50
then decide if they want to invest
00:03:52
because that's what every other game is
00:03:53
so i think it's very important to have a
00:03:55
free trial box cost mmos can usually be
00:03:58
put into three categories sandbox theme
00:04:01
park or sand park an example of a theme
00:04:04
park mmo would be final fantasy xiv oh
00:04:07
wow an on-rails story-driven experience
00:04:10
with a lot of scripted instanced content
00:04:13
heavily reliant on developers constantly
00:04:15
adding new raids dungeons and gear
00:04:17
treadmill content to keep people playing
00:04:20
an example of a sandbox mmo would be eve
00:04:22
online a game that's almost entirely
00:04:25
driven you need to create your own goals
00:04:27
and find your place within a player
00:04:29
driven ecosystem typically joining
00:04:31
alliances or guilds to take over land
00:04:34
and control resources basically these
00:04:36
games are less reliant on developer
00:04:38
created content yes the interaction
00:04:40
between players is the content and it's
00:04:43
just i've said that before that's one of
00:04:45
the big reasons why a server like moon
00:04:47
guard is more resistant to content
00:04:50
droughts in wow is because those people
00:04:52
part of like the content that they get
00:04:54
out of the game is not driven by the
00:04:56
release schedule of blizzard
00:04:58
entertainment it's driven by what's
00:05:00
happening on the server what the players
00:05:02
are doing et cetera so like you have a
00:05:04
another level of investment there it can
00:05:07
be yeah of course i mean there's
00:05:09
of course this nothing is is for sure
00:05:11
ever and every time
00:05:13
a sand park mmo is basically a hybrid of
00:05:15
theme park and sandbox there's a lot of
00:05:18
player driven content however there's
00:05:19
also developer created scripted
00:05:21
encounters such as raids and dungeons
00:05:24
this is the category of mmo the ashes of
00:05:26
creation falls into and personally it's
00:05:29
my favorite type of mmorpg yeah i agree
00:05:33
with that too i i think that you need to
00:05:35
have instances or you're just not going
00:05:37
to have any challenging content for
00:05:39
people that like that kind of stuff
00:05:41
mmos can't make everybody happy but they
00:05:44
do have to at least think about making
00:05:47
different genres of players happy like
00:05:49
you know people that like uh like let's
00:05:52
see they like raids or people that like
00:05:54
pvp you should try to make all those
00:05:57
general groups of players happy because
00:05:59
i think they exist in every mmo it makes
00:06:01
sense yeah so i think this is a smart
00:06:03
way to handle it but having like really
00:06:05
strong like great outdoor content you
00:06:07
know what else was kind of more of a
00:06:09
sand park
00:06:10
if we want to use this word that lacy
00:06:12
peon is using uh sand park mmorpg was
00:06:15
classic wow
00:06:16
classic wow absolutely had a ton of
00:06:19
world content it had a ton of open world
00:06:21
stuff that players could do uh you know
00:06:23
things that they could influence in the
00:06:25
world and control like devil star mafia
00:06:28
uh [ __ ] like world buff meta etc so i
00:06:30
think that was a that was a positive
00:06:32
thing now obviously there was a lot of
00:06:34
uh
00:06:35
friction that that created but i think
00:06:37
that a more refined version of that
00:06:39
could still be extremely popular now so
00:06:42
what makes ashes of creation unique how
00:06:44
does this game innovate to push the
00:06:46
genre forward
00:06:47
and why should you be excited for this
00:06:49
mmo over all the others that have
00:06:51
released and failed over the past 15
00:06:54
years
00:06:56
the node system this is cause of
00:06:57
creation's biggest innovation in my
00:06:59
opinion is its node system is this
00:07:02
system that ensures that no two servers
00:07:04
will ever be the same basically when the
00:07:07
game launches the world will be empty
00:07:09
however over time camps villages towns
00:07:12
cities and sprawling metropolises will
00:07:15
pop up in locations where players earn
00:07:17
xp from killing
00:07:19
what i'm concerned about is that
00:07:21
once one type of node is discovered that
00:07:25
is the most rewarding
00:07:26
in some sort of like very deliberate way
00:07:30
like it gives you more damage or it
00:07:33
gives you more
00:07:34
extra like health or something like that
00:07:36
or more healing
00:07:37
everybody is going to have everybody at
00:07:40
that node
00:07:41
and i think you can use a parallel to
00:07:43
this with like new world and you guys
00:07:45
remember in the beta whenever i said
00:07:47
like this is stupid with the auction
00:07:49
houses and controlling things because
00:07:51
the people that control uh [ __ ] not
00:07:54
morrowind where's the what's it called
00:07:56
again uh morningdale uh the control
00:07:58
morningdale are making five percent of
00:08:00
the money that are the people are making
00:08:02
uh in ever fallen windsward because
00:08:04
those are the those are the main towns
00:08:06
that everybody is at and if you go to
00:08:09
yeah it's not morrowind uh but if you if
00:08:11
you go to every server every server is
00:08:14
pretty much the exact same because these
00:08:17
locations are the most advantageous
00:08:19
geographically uh they're in the middle
00:08:21
there's the least amount of travel time
00:08:24
to the other zones from that zone and i
00:08:27
think also that's where new players are
00:08:29
and so that's where older players go
00:08:31
because they want to be able to sell
00:08:32
their stuff at that point and so it just
00:08:34
ends up being everybody goes to this one
00:08:37
place so i worry about the node system
00:08:39
becoming formulaic because the way that
00:08:42
people play video games now is that they
00:08:44
as soon as they see what the meta is
00:08:46
everybody's playing the meta and you
00:08:48
guys saw me do that just a few minutes
00:08:50
ago whenever i was doing the tower
00:08:51
fantasy thing and i i was looking at
00:08:54
like okay well every other guy uses this
00:08:56
i'm gonna use this too that's meta
00:08:58
gaming and i'm thinking how many people
00:09:00
are gonna look at the maps of these good
00:09:02
servers and be like well this server's
00:09:04
doing this so we should do that too or
00:09:05
this streamer is doing this so we're
00:09:07
gonna do that too i think it's very
00:09:08
common and it's one of the biggest
00:09:10
concerns that i have for the node system
00:09:12
but i do think that it has a lot of
00:09:14
possibilities and the idea behind it is
00:09:17
really interesting and cool and i think
00:09:20
also the fact that meta gaming could
00:09:22
exist does not mean that they should not
00:09:25
do the node system it just means that
00:09:27
they need to rebalance the nodes
00:09:29
regularly to change up the meta
00:09:31
basically and that's what every game
00:09:33
effectively does they buff and nerf
00:09:35
weapons they buff and nerf uh classes
00:09:38
they buff and nerf champions and that
00:09:40
way it keeps the game evolving but you
00:09:43
can't expect the player base to do that
00:09:45
on their own you have to give them a
00:09:46
little bit of a of a boot
00:09:49
mobs gathering or doing quests there
00:09:52
will be over 100 nodes scattered
00:09:54
throughout the world at launch and each
00:09:56
node will have a different layout and
00:09:57
appearance depending on the race that
00:09:59
contributed the most xp to it as well as
00:10:02
the buildings the mayor decides to place
00:10:05
so
00:10:06
it's like if if we look at this map like
00:10:08
what are what are going to be the
00:10:10
valuable nodes uh i'm going to assume
00:10:13
it's like in real life like think about
00:10:15
all of the most
00:10:17
like the richest countries and like the
00:10:20
richest states in like the old world
00:10:23
you look at like a lot of the the the
00:10:25
the places like you look at
00:10:27
constantinople like almost all of the
00:10:29
european countries that are incredibly
00:10:31
popular and incredibly wealthy
00:10:34
had they had ports that's right they had
00:10:37
access to water and i think that's going
00:10:40
to be a tremendous thing so i'm thinking
00:10:42
like things like this
00:10:44
maybe one like this here like these here
00:10:46
are going to be extremely valuable how
00:10:48
is it that you're going to make this
00:10:50
node valuable how are you going to make
00:10:52
that node valuable maybe there's a
00:10:54
dragon on it if you level it all the way
00:10:56
up so you have in-game players going
00:10:58
over there i think that you really
00:11:00
really really need to make sure this
00:11:01
goes right and i think that the way you
00:11:03
do that i mean the unfortunate reality
00:11:06
is you do it with trial and error you
00:11:08
you bring out the game and then you see
00:11:11
the nodes that nobody is leveling up and
00:11:13
of course you can predict a lot of it
00:11:15
but you'll never be able to predict all
00:11:16
of it and then you have to change it
00:11:18
dynamically and so this is something
00:11:20
that
00:11:21
is very promising but it's also
00:11:23
something that has to be a promise to
00:11:26
continue to invest in of a different
00:11:27
layout and appearance depending on the
00:11:29
rate
00:11:30
attributed the most xp to it as well as
00:11:33
the buildings the mayor decides to place
00:11:35
so if for example orc players
00:11:37
contributed the most xp to a node the
00:11:40
node will then have an orcish aesthetic
00:11:42
the same is true for every other race in
00:11:44
the game and these racial aesthetic
00:11:47
changes are applied to the node every
00:11:49
time it's leveled up see like that's
00:11:51
another concern that i have because like
00:11:53
if you look at in uh in final fantasy
00:11:56
for example hrothgar are extremely
00:11:58
unpopular even if you only look at the
00:12:00
male hrothgar if you compare if you take
00:12:02
a a poll of like a hundred final fantasy
00:12:05
characters i would assume less than 10
00:12:08
are hrothgar i think at the same way if
00:12:11
you look at in wow there are probably
00:12:14
i don't know like let me think i think
00:12:17
wow probably has a better
00:12:19
breakdown of races
00:12:21
but i think also if you add races later
00:12:23
on and or some people think that certain
00:12:25
races don't look that good etcetera
00:12:28
you're not going to have as many of them
00:12:29
i think with even that's the truth even
00:12:31
with classes so it's important to make
00:12:33
sure all the races are appealing equally
00:12:35
yeah worgen there's not that many organ
00:12:37
but they got added later on in the game
00:12:38
and so that's why i didn't want to
00:12:39
compare them so a town could start with
00:12:42
an elven aesthetic yeah but if dwarves
00:12:44
contributed the most xp to progress it
00:12:46
to the city stage it then changed to a
00:12:48
dwarven theme
00:12:50
so what happens when every node in the
00:12:52
game is leveled to max the thing is like
00:12:54
that's cool though like it i i again
00:12:56
like these are all concerns that i have
00:12:58
but i think that they're cool regardless
00:13:00
well that can't happen building up one
00:13:03
node to a city for example will lock out
00:13:05
adjacent nodes from reaching the same
00:13:07
level which in turn also locks or
00:13:09
unlocks various quests dungeons or
00:13:12
bosses players will have to initiate
00:13:14
node sieges to d-level a node if they
00:13:17
wish to progress adjacent nodes
00:13:19
nodes come in four different node types
00:13:22
militaristic scientific divine or
00:13:24
economic each of which have their own
00:13:26
special perks adding further variety
00:13:29
into this system like i said the node
00:13:31
system is designed so that no two
00:13:33
servers will be the same if you take a
00:13:35
break from the game for a few months you
00:13:37
could come back and the location of all
00:13:39
major cities is completely different
00:13:42
different taxes buildings different
00:13:44
mayors voted to be in charge of the node
00:13:47
and different node racial aesthetics
00:13:49
i think that they need to make it to
00:13:51
where the taxes can't go too high
00:13:53
because if you make it to where the
00:13:55
taxes can just go super high you're
00:13:57
going to have like a group of people
00:13:59
that have a lot of resources and a lot
00:14:01
of power and they're just going to rule
00:14:05
over everybody else and this is exactly
00:14:07
what happened in new world because in
00:14:09
new world the uh the reigning like best
00:14:13
guild
00:14:14
had was getting all the money right and
00:14:17
so now they're getting all the money so
00:14:19
they can buy all the best gear and they
00:14:20
can buy all the best resources and
00:14:22
consumables for the wars to defend the
00:14:24
item or sorry the location that allows
00:14:27
them to make all the money you see so
00:14:29
it's like a uh it's a [ __ ] snowball
00:14:32
effect it's a it's a vicious circle and
00:14:34
i think that's problematic for sure and
00:14:36
that could happen i'm worried about that
00:14:39
yeah sounds familiar well the thing is
00:14:40
like every every avenue in life like
00:14:44
almost every single
00:14:46
way with that people exist together
00:14:49
that can be judged in any way shape or
00:14:52
form uh numerically like you can judge
00:14:55
like one person versus the other person
00:14:57
it provides and and creates massive
00:15:00
disparities between people like that's
00:15:02
how it is it doesn't matter if it's
00:15:03
sports uh you know like exercise uh like
00:15:07
making money uh being successful hooking
00:15:11
up with girls like it's like one guy is
00:15:13
hooking up with 20 girls and one guy
00:15:15
can't get a single one
00:15:17
right you see how this happens and this
00:15:19
is just something that manifests in in
00:15:21
in humanity because people are just
00:15:23
fundamentally unequal they're just not
00:15:26
it's not like everybody spawns with 40
00:15:28
talent points some people get 50 some
00:15:30
people get five
00:15:32
so the fact is that
00:15:34
it it's very important to make sure that
00:15:36
you don't allow a small group or even a
00:15:39
large group of players to actively
00:15:41
ruin the experience of other people
00:15:44
and this is kind of what happened in new
00:15:46
world because of the tax system and it
00:15:48
also had a self-perpetuating cycle and
00:15:51
system to it so it made it worse
00:15:55
no other mmorpg has ever done this
00:15:58
before and we've already seen this
00:16:00
system working up to the village stage
00:16:02
in last year's alpha one test
00:16:05
node politics okay on top of the node
00:16:07
system also lies the node political
00:16:09
system where players compete to become
00:16:11
the node's mayor the process of how this
00:16:14
is done varies depending on the node
00:16:15
type our scientific node mayors are
00:16:18
voted for democratically militaristic
00:16:20
node mayors are chosen by victory in a
00:16:23
last man standing tournament economic
00:16:25
node leadership is sold to the highest
00:16:27
bidder and divine node governance is
00:16:30
given to the player that completed the
00:16:31
most node quests once a mayor has been
00:16:34
decided they can set the tax rate and to
00:16:36
decide which building projects to pursue
00:16:38
yeah the only way to remove a mayor is
00:16:40
let's see how you can turn the tax rate
00:16:42
all the way up to 100 because you can
00:16:43
see like you know this this like little
00:16:45
thing is at 10
00:16:46
and it's gonna go all the way up to 50.
00:16:49
and and like especially if you have
00:16:50
people that are starting the game off uh
00:16:53
they'll be at that town and you'll still
00:16:54
make the most money
00:16:56
and like so that that's that's one thing
00:16:57
that can happen also uh with the
00:17:00
military thing
00:17:02
like so this is what would happen in the
00:17:04
world of draenor coliseum is that people
00:17:07
would queue up with like five of their
00:17:08
friends and then they would just like
00:17:10
basically throw the game at the end to
00:17:13
make the person that's their friend that
00:17:15
they're like rotating around the winds
00:17:17
with make that person win the game so i
00:17:20
worry about that especially with like oh
00:17:22
it's a death match it's like well yeah
00:17:23
but what if two people are in there and
00:17:25
they're fighting together you see yeah
00:17:27
it's like wind trading like how do you
00:17:28
deal with that i i don't know but again
00:17:30
like these are all
00:17:32
and like the thing is like this stuff
00:17:34
will happen the reason why i'm thinking
00:17:36
about all this is because i would be the
00:17:38
one doing it like i would be doing this
00:17:40
if i wasn't a streamer destroying the
00:17:42
node via the node siege mechanic bad
00:17:44
mayors will exist
00:17:46
yes they will cause drama and this is
00:17:48
all by design as any virtual world has
00:17:51
good guys and bad guys some nodes will
00:17:54
naturally die out some drama is good but
00:17:57
if the drama is so if if there's like
00:18:01
really no way of like pushing back
00:18:03
against a large group of people playing
00:18:05
the game because like you just don't
00:18:07
have enough people that are you know
00:18:08
like or organized or coordinated enough
00:18:10
to uh to form an opposition it can
00:18:13
become oppressive and and people can get
00:18:14
bored and not want to play anymore the
00:18:16
level due to it it has to be others will
00:18:18
need to be taken out by force some
00:18:21
mayors might tax their citizens so hard
00:18:23
that everyone leaves and there's no
00:18:25
money for upkeep this is all intended
00:18:27
with the design principle of actions
00:18:30
having consequences
00:18:34
the final thing worth mentioning about
00:18:35
nodes is the citizenship and player
00:18:37
housing systems tied to it once a node
00:18:40
reaches village stage or higher player
00:18:42
housing then becomes available there's
00:18:45
three types of player housing real space
00:18:48
in node housing real space freeholds
00:18:51
which are basically plots of land within
00:18:53
the nodes zone of influence
00:18:55
and instance to node apartments players
00:18:58
who have invested into any of these
00:19:00
types of player housing can then
00:19:01
register to become citizens of the node
00:19:04
which brings with it various benefits
00:19:06
listed on screen you can only become a
00:19:08
citizen of one node at a time per
00:19:11
account so this is an important decision
00:19:14
designed to make players want to invest
00:19:16
in and defend their node
00:19:18
nodes are not owned by guilds and the
00:19:21
more people that register for
00:19:22
citizenship at a single node the more
00:19:24
expensive it becomes for future citizens
00:19:26
to join oh wow you'll lose citizenship
00:19:29
if your node is destroyed in a node
00:19:30
siege in addition you will also lose
00:19:33
your player housing and a portion of the
00:19:34
resources stored in your node's
00:19:36
warehouse so there's actually like a
00:19:38
tremendous amount of loss in the game
00:19:41
you you need a certain amount of loss in
00:19:43
the game in order for you to just not
00:19:46
have
00:19:47
uh if effectively like
00:19:49
just
00:19:50
like market saturation of resources
00:19:52
because like a lot of these games were
00:19:54
are going to have more resources being
00:19:57
used than sorry more resources being
00:20:00
generated than being used and that's a
00:20:02
bad thing
00:20:04
so it's really in your best interest to
00:20:06
defend and invest in the node that
00:20:08
you're a citizen of
00:20:10
inflation yeah it's effectively item
00:20:12
inflation another completely unique
00:20:13
thing ashes of creation is bringing to
00:20:15
the mmo genre that has never been done
00:20:17
before is its season yeah look at this
00:20:19
this is this was recently shown off and
00:20:21
working in a live stream but basically
00:20:24
every one or two weeks
00:20:26
certain biomes will change seasons from
00:20:28
spring summer autumn or winter in doing
00:20:31
so the appearance of monsters might
00:20:33
change there will be buffs or debuffs to
00:20:35
your character dungeon entrances or
00:20:37
mountain passes might become frozen over
00:20:40
or inaccessible some gatherable
00:20:42
resources might become unavailable
00:20:44
during certain seasons which might have
00:20:46
an economic impact
00:20:48
and there will also be different weather
00:20:50
effects depending on the season that's
00:20:52
really cool i hope that they do it by a
00:20:55
monthly cycle like you have the four
00:20:57
seasons i feel like cycle through them
00:21:00
three times a year
00:21:02
like that in in my mind makes the most
00:21:05
sense monthly is good yeah because if
00:21:07
it's if it's weekly please no because if
00:21:09
it's weekly
00:21:11
you want to have the idea of the person
00:21:14
who stocks up on items in the winter to
00:21:17
sell them in the summer two or three
00:21:19
months later
00:21:21
you want to have that
00:21:23
and you can't have that if it's weekly
00:21:25
that's why i think that it has to be
00:21:26
monthly
00:21:28
but i think that having it correspond
00:21:30
with yearly the same as like real life i
00:21:32
think that's too much
00:21:37
system gives ashes of creation the
00:21:40
potential to be the mmorpg that has the
00:21:42
most interesting immersive and evolving
00:21:45
world we've seen out of any mmo to date
00:21:48
you leave the game log in a few weeks
00:21:50
later the note has changed the season
00:21:52
has changed new events and quests have
00:21:55
spawned it'll feel like you've zoned
00:21:57
into a completely new location
00:22:01
on the pve side of things something i
00:22:04
find especially interesting with ashes
00:22:06
of creation is how content such as
00:22:08
dungeons and raids will have adaptive
00:22:10
difficulty
00:22:13
of the party against previous bosses
00:22:15
so let's say your group absolutely
00:22:18
steamrolls the first boss in a dungeon
00:22:20
or raid the next boss will then scale to
00:22:23
be more difficult unlocking additional
00:22:25
mechanics and as a result drop better
00:22:28
loot in addition node development also has a
00:22:31
big impact on pve difficulty and content
00:22:33
availability too the higher the node
00:22:36
level the higher the level of mobs in
00:22:38
the surrounding area i hope that the the
00:22:41
adaptive difficulty
00:22:43
obviously like this is what they've said
00:22:45
is going to happen is that like the
00:22:47
adaptive difficulty functions on like
00:22:50
multiple levels but i think that if you
00:22:52
really want something challenging it has
00:22:54
to be instanced like that's just the
00:22:56
reality i think it has to be instanced
00:22:58
because if you don't have that you're
00:23:00
going to have
00:23:01
just all kinds of [ __ ] griefing like
00:23:04
[ __ ]
00:23:05
uh it's like the amount of scaling
00:23:07
mechanisms you have for difficulty are
00:23:09
very limited because you can't use uh
00:23:12
success of the mechanics as a metric
00:23:15
because you can have people that can uh
00:23:17
ruin that so it it's it's you have to
00:23:20
have it be instance like i cannot see a
00:23:22
universe where it's not instanced
00:23:25
perhaps there's a dungeon with but like
00:23:27
like that is to make it super hard i'm
00:23:30
not saying this is a bad idea in the
00:23:31
open world but i think if you if you
00:23:34
really want to create challenging like
00:23:36
the pinnacle challenging pve content has
00:23:38
to exist in an instance
00:23:40
five bosses inside however the fourth
00:23:42
and fifth boss rooms only become
00:23:44
accessible once the note has developed
00:23:46
to city or metropolitan stage
00:23:49
additional mechanics and higher loot
00:23:50
potential could also be locked behind
00:23:52
the leveling of nodes
00:23:54
obviously this will take a lot of
00:23:56
balancing but i like the direction
00:23:58
they're going in when it comes to pve
00:23:59
difficulty
00:24:01
right dungeons and raids could become
00:24:03
infinitely difficult based on
00:24:05
performance which could also open up the
00:24:07
potential for i like the idea of being
00:24:09
able to beat something i hope that it's
00:24:11
not completely infinite competitive pve
00:24:14
leaderboards if there was some kind of
00:24:16
performance rating added on top of this
00:24:18
system
00:24:19
[Music]
00:24:22
although actually our creation won't be
00:24:23
the first mmo to introduce a caravan
00:24:26
system shout out to silk road online
00:24:28
it's certainly not a common thing we've
00:24:30
seen in any of the other top mmos in
00:24:32
recent years i think the last mmo to
00:24:35
have something like this was archeage
00:24:37
storage in ashes of creation is not
00:24:40
global warehouses where you store your
00:24:42
items will be local to each like that's
00:24:44
cool i think that's [ __ ] badass mmos
00:24:47
have like you go and you attack a big
00:24:50
ass [ __ ] uh
00:24:53
a big [ __ ] caravan this was okay and
00:24:55
you bust this [ __ ] open
00:24:57
and it bursts open with all that
00:24:59
person's [ __ ] it's like a loot box but
00:25:02
it's a loot box of somebody else's loot
00:25:04
that's amazing i love it creation is not
00:25:07
global gimme dawg warehouses where you
00:25:09
store your items will be local to each
00:25:11
node and gatherable resources for
00:25:13
crafting will be more or less plentiful
00:25:16
based on biome or region
00:25:18
i'm not sure how that's going to go
00:25:20
based on how it went with new world i i
00:25:22
i don't know it i i am not
00:25:26
like that that worries me but i think
00:25:28
that everything we should like i haven't
00:25:30
played the game right
00:25:32
so like we have to play the game and see
00:25:34
what it's really like
00:25:35
like i played the alpha but like that
00:25:37
was just like very limited
00:25:39
this means that players will be able to
00:25:40
take advantage of localized economies by
00:25:43
transporting goods from one region to
00:25:45
another like they could always do
00:25:47
something sorry just keep pausing i just
00:25:48
have so many opinions about this they
00:25:50
could always do something like what
00:25:51
valheim does where like valheim
00:25:54
you can move a lot of resources through
00:25:56
portals but you can't move or through
00:25:59
portals so you have to think about
00:26:01
moving valuable resources uh like
00:26:04
together and like also you can't move
00:26:06
like the motor eggs for example but
00:26:08
everything else you can move through
00:26:09
portals because i feel like moving
00:26:12
like having to move everything on its
00:26:15
own would be very frustrating so i think
00:26:18
that maybe that could be confined to
00:26:19
only certain types of uh expensive or
00:26:22
valuable items and i think that would
00:26:24
not hurt the caravan meta at all because
00:26:27
why would somebody want to attack a
00:26:29
caravan that's just got a bunch of grass
00:26:31
in it right so of course they're going
00:26:32
to attack the ones that are very
00:26:33
valuable
00:26:35
but we'll see what happens
00:26:37
they shall look at valhalla based on
00:26:38
supply and demand this is done through
00:26:41
the caravan system
00:26:42
let's say you're a citizen of a node
00:26:44
located in the desert biome people need
00:26:47
a lot of wood for crafting but it's hard
00:26:49
to come by in the desert you travel to
00:26:51
the forest spend a few hours collecting
00:26:53
or buying wood from other players then
00:26:55
you want to transport it back to the
00:26:57
desert to sell on for profit or use
00:26:59
yourself you can go to the storage at
00:27:01
the forest node and spawn a person i
00:27:04
would say like visually fit or use you
00:27:06
like visually this looks very appealing
00:27:08
to me
00:27:10
i i like i like the way this looks this
00:27:12
looks good
00:27:15
yourself you can go to the storage at
00:27:17
the forest node and spawn a personal
00:27:19
caravan to then transport those goods in
00:27:22
doing so the area around the caravan
00:27:24
will become a moving open world pvp zone
00:27:27
in which players can choose to either
00:27:29
attack or defend the caravan there's
00:27:32
incentives for either side this is a
00:27:34
risk-verse reward system in which you
00:27:36
could potentially lose your stuff if
00:27:38
your caravan is successfully raided the
00:27:40
whole existence of the caravan system
00:27:43
also opens up the possibility for
00:27:44
players to become mercenaries and sell
00:27:47
protection services to players wanting
00:27:49
to transport their goods for coin which
00:27:51
is also pretty cool
00:27:54
i think also like just giving players
00:27:57
the ability to do stuff like that and
00:27:59
then seeing what players do with it
00:28:01
because like what would i do so like
00:28:04
clearly you can move your character
00:28:06
around with whatever you need in your
00:28:07
inventory so there will be a lot of
00:28:10
people who will just not use a caravan
00:28:11
and just run themselves so caravans will
00:28:14
probably be used with like very very
00:28:16
large items like let's say you craft um
00:28:19
like let's say like a like that the helm
00:28:22
of a battering ram and like you can't
00:28:23
keep that in your inventory so you have
00:28:25
to move that with a caravan and it can
00:28:27
only be moved with the caravan i think
00:28:29
that makes it very interesting but
00:28:30
whenever you're talking about smaller
00:28:32
items
00:28:33
and like obviously like yeah like so for
00:28:35
example
00:28:36
you would move the helm or sorry the
00:28:38
helm of the battering ram around and
00:28:40
like that would clearly there would be a
00:28:42
vested interest in the people that
00:28:44
helped form that in order to to move
00:28:46
that thing around but i i do think that
00:28:49
a lot of people will probably just move
00:28:50
it with you know personal caravans will
00:28:52
be very uncommon and i don't think
00:28:54
that's a bad thing
00:28:56
monster coin events are a multiplayer
00:28:58
horde defense activity that can take
00:29:00
place at nodes these events must be
00:29:02
triggered by something significant
00:29:04
happening in the surrounding area such
00:29:06
as node advancement the death of a world
00:29:09
boss or constructing a certain building
00:29:11
in the node during a monster coin event
00:29:14
players must choose to either attack or
00:29:15
defend attackers can use monster coins
00:29:18
to transform into a monster and attack
00:29:20
key objectives in the node
00:29:22
defenders must defend against the
00:29:24
attacking horde of monsters
00:29:26
monster coin events cannot de-level a
00:29:28
node however they can kill important
00:29:31
npcs or disable buildings at the node
00:29:33
for a while if the attackers are
00:29:35
successful monster coins can be obtained
00:29:37
via rare drops in game and the rewards
00:29:39
for this activity are entirely cosmetic
00:29:42
that's good
00:29:43
i like the idea of that i think that's a
00:29:45
really good idea but i think that they
00:29:47
need to make sure that whenever they do
00:29:48
something like that it uh
00:29:51
it is notifying the entire server it's
00:29:53
like you don't want to have like a big
00:29:55
cool event like that happen nobody knows
00:29:57
about it so like for example um let's
00:29:59
say there's like a lunar eclipse and
00:30:02
everybody can look up in the sky they're
00:30:03
like oh my god it's a lunar eclipse
00:30:06
now we've got like that means there's
00:30:07
going to be a vampire attack or there's
00:30:10
going to be a werewolf attack or
00:30:11
something like that and uh
00:30:14
you you know that that's going to happen
00:30:16
based off of the context of the weather
00:30:18
or like for example let's say it's like
00:30:20
really rainy and there's like you know a
00:30:23
10 chance of it to be rainy one day and
00:30:25
a 10 chance of it whenever it's rainy to
00:30:29
have tornadoes and if there are
00:30:30
tornadoes uh there's like pretty much
00:30:33
100 chance that something like alec here
00:30:36
will spawn or like some sort of wind
00:30:37
elemental or wind god that you're going
00:30:40
to have to kill out in the open world
00:30:41
that's a world boss so like creating
00:30:43
ways because like a notification on the
00:30:46
middle of your screen that says please
00:30:49
proceed to node 17b for your mandatory
00:30:52
fun encounter with thunderin or with
00:30:55
with ragnaros i think that's stupid but
00:30:58
like you want to give there like let's
00:31:00
say there's a mountain there's a volcano
00:31:03
and there's a chance a one percent
00:31:06
chance every day
00:31:07
the volcano erupts
00:31:09
and the [ __ ] volcano erupts [ __ ]
00:31:12
happens the dragon flies out of the
00:31:14
[ __ ] volcano you've got magma worms
00:31:17
coming out of it too that's attacking
00:31:19
the city and it's [ __ ] awesome right
00:31:22
and you put the volcano right next to a
00:31:24
massive city so everybody has a bigger
00:31:26
vested interest in doing this so
00:31:29
you want to create ways that players can
00:31:32
detect the uh changing of the world
00:31:36
without using
00:31:37
words
00:31:38
without using words give give people
00:31:40
like you know it's a blood moon it's an
00:31:42
eclipse it's a volcano eruption it's a
00:31:44
rain rainstorm
00:31:46
you know it's the same as like out in
00:31:47
the open seas let's see there's a
00:31:48
rainstorm out in the open seas well
00:31:50
there's got to be a sea serpent out
00:31:51
there obviously
00:31:54
the final point i want to make when it
00:31:55
comes to what makes ashes of creation so
00:31:58
unique is the sheer scope of the game
00:32:01
when you combine all the features and
00:32:02
innovations this game will have it's
00:32:05
that's that's the best thing about the
00:32:06
game and also the main thing that people
00:32:09
are concerned about is that how can a
00:32:11
game promise this many things and
00:32:13
actually be be able to deliver surely
00:32:15
gonna be the biggest fantasy mmo ever
00:32:18
made to date
00:32:19
nine different playable races both with
00:32:21
male and female options
00:32:23
480 square kilometer world size at
00:32:26
launch fully open world game where you
00:32:28
can go from one side of the map to the
00:32:30
other no loading screens
00:32:32
dungeons raids world bosses open world
00:32:34
pvp with a criminal system caravan p
00:32:37
let's say it doesn't let's let's say it
00:32:39
only does half it's still i still think
00:32:41
that's incredible and also let's say it
00:32:43
does half on release that doesn't mean
00:32:44
they can't add it later on
00:32:46
like oh castle sieges aren't ready yet
00:32:48
it's not going to be ready for six
00:32:49
months okay that's fine like i'm waiting
00:32:52
to see like yeah let's just see what
00:32:54
happens man pvp castle sieges node
00:32:57
sieges arenas duels guild wars crafting
00:33:00
and artisan system monster coin events
00:33:03
political systems citizenship player run
00:33:05
shops taverns with parlour games top
00:33:08
tier customization transmog cosmetic
00:33:12
collection 64 different class
00:33:14
combinations three forms of player
00:33:17
housing both open
00:33:20
achievements leaderboards gathering
00:33:22
questing hybrid combat system player
00:33:25
driven economy with localized storage
00:33:28
pets massive guild system with guild
00:33:30
halls
00:33:32
watermelons and 18 different biomes in
00:33:34
the world
00:33:35
every week or two the season changes
00:33:37
which makes zones feel completely
00:33:39
different and if all of that wasn't
00:33:41
enough something i often forget is that
00:33:44
i also think that they should have few
00:33:46
servers but have them be absolutely
00:33:48
massive
00:33:49
in my mind i think a game like this
00:33:51
actually could
00:33:53
be interesting if there was a handful of
00:33:55
different servers as long as one of them
00:33:57
didn't die and everybody didn't play on
00:33:58
the same server
00:34:00
but i i do i worry because like so much
00:34:03
of this game is built around other
00:34:05
people so if you have a server that's
00:34:07
not very populated i think that the
00:34:09
people that are playing on that server
00:34:11
will have a tangibly worse experience
00:34:14
so like making sure that it's future
00:34:16
proofed for that and also vice versa
00:34:18
future proof for overpopulation as well
00:34:21
because that's what happened with wow is
00:34:22
that while like the future proofing that
00:34:24
wow has is layering what is this game
00:34:27
going to have is it going to need
00:34:28
something i think that honestly what
00:34:30
they should do to future proof is they
00:34:32
should have things in their back pocket
00:34:35
that they can do that will split up the
00:34:37
player base like it will cause players
00:34:39
to go to different locations on the map
00:34:42
so it doesn't look like everybody is all
00:34:44
competing for the same resource those
00:34:46
servers are going to be grouped on a
00:34:47
percent yeah and that's what i worry
00:34:48
about the game will have an entire
00:34:50
arcade style naval system
00:34:53
across the ocean on massive ships
00:34:56
pvp and naval trade i'm so excited i
00:34:59
probably forgot to mention a few
00:35:01
features in that little ramble but my
00:35:03
point is this game will be bloody huge
00:35:06
so huge that i can totally understand
00:35:09
why people have been skeptical about the
00:35:10
project since the inception even the
00:35:13
director's experience i've seen most of
00:35:15
these things that i've mentioned at some
00:35:17
point in development live streams in
00:35:18
recent years so it's definitely all
00:35:21
stuff that's being worked on the only
00:35:23
content we haven't seen much of at this
00:35:25
point is the naval aspect of the game
00:35:27
although recently we've been shown some
00:35:29
3d models for the ships as well as a
00:35:31
giant sea monster boss so hopefully
00:35:34
we'll see more of that soon at this
00:35:36
point you're probably saying wow peon
00:35:38
all of that sounds great but i don't
00:35:40
want to wait until 2030 to play this
00:35:42
thing too bad hasn't the game been in
00:35:44
development for years already
00:35:46
yes
00:35:47
it has but unfortunately my mmo hungry
00:35:50
friends this is a genre where games take
00:35:53
just bring it out when it's ready like
00:35:55
that's that's how i see just bring it
00:35:56
out whenever it's ready bring it out i i
00:35:58
think that not every single feature has
00:36:00
to be 100 complete on release like you
00:36:03
can have things that you hold back
00:36:06
because they're just not completely done
00:36:07
yet and you know it that's that's the
00:36:10
nature of a live service game is that
00:36:12
the game is never in a finished state
00:36:14
but i do think that after new world they
00:36:17
need to make sure that the game is at
00:36:18
least released and all of the features
00:36:21
in game are complete
00:36:23
like no incomplete features no bad
00:36:25
systems and you know you can hold back
00:36:27
and not have certain systems sure but
00:36:30
make sure that everything that is in the
00:36:32
game is not garbage
00:36:34
a long ass time to make eso lost and
00:36:37
arcade for example all took over seven
00:36:40
years of development until launch final
00:36:42
fantasy 14 was in development for nine
00:36:45
years before a realm reborn released
00:36:47
yeah right now ashes of creation is
00:36:49
about five and a half years into
00:36:50
development i i would say that we should
00:36:53
expect to see a beta of ashes of
00:36:55
creation that we can play regularly
00:36:58
within a year and a half i i think
00:37:00
that's kind of fair
00:37:02
given what's happened i think a year and
00:37:04
a half probably yeah 2024 i would be
00:37:07
surprised
00:37:08
if the game didn't release in 2024 or
00:37:11
2025. and with it being a particularly
00:37:13
ambitious project i still think we've
00:37:16
got a while to wait
00:37:17
that being said since moving to unreal
00:37:19
engine 5 their development speed seems
00:37:21
to have gone through the roof with
00:37:23
significant progress shown every live
00:37:25
stream well obviously it has because a
00:37:27
lot of the game is probably
00:37:29
conceptualizing and then designing the
00:37:32
ideas behind it and then programming it
00:37:34
probably will take a tremendous amount
00:37:36
of time but that's something that they
00:37:38
can do that you know like they're not
00:37:40
showing the entire world programmed
00:37:42
right they're just showing one zone so i
00:37:44
i think it makes sense that they're
00:37:45
progressing it faster also obviously
00:37:48
with people like lazy peon myself uh
00:37:50
narc uh you know rich just talk you know
00:37:53
like uh mcconnell right everybody that's
00:37:55
like in the mmo space shroud summit like
00:37:59
all these guys uh talking about the game
00:38:02
do give it a tremendous amount of
00:38:03
promotion and some of those people that
00:38:05
see the game through our streams
00:38:06
contribute to it and support it and so i
00:38:09
think that does increase the speed of it
00:38:11
too josh triface yeah of course
00:38:14
so maybe it's closer than we think
00:38:17
the other stuff
00:38:19
so far i've only explained the unique
00:38:21
aspects of ashes of creation the things
00:38:23
it's doing to push the genre forward
00:38:25
yeah but the game also has a lot of
00:38:26
other features that you're likely
00:38:28
familiar with from other mmos so next
00:38:30
i'm going to break down everything the
00:38:32
game has into the following categories
00:38:34
pve content pvp content role play
00:38:37
content the world professions class and
00:38:40
combat system
00:38:42
role play content i think is so
00:38:44
important
00:38:45
like new world one of the reasons why i
00:38:46
think new world is not successful is
00:38:48
because the role play content in the
00:38:50
game is is mediocre it's just not very
00:38:52
good
00:38:53
like final fantasy
00:38:55
you know on the other end of the
00:38:56
spectrum is
00:38:57
so good with its role play content that
00:39:00
i think it carries the game entirely as
00:39:03
this is such a powerful game with so
00:39:05
many different aspects to it it's
00:39:07
impossible for me to talk about every
00:39:09
feature in depth and answer every
00:39:11
question you might have
00:39:13
thankfully there's a fantastic resource
00:39:15
already available called the ashes of
00:39:17
creation
00:39:18
that's constantly being updated and has
00:39:20
thousands of pages
00:39:22
i don't know about any specific
00:39:24
questions you might have check the wiki
00:39:26
and there's a 99 chance you'll get an
00:39:28
answer shout out to lex who's been
00:39:31
keeping this up to date over the years
00:39:33
that's tremendous
00:39:35
the pve content in ashes looks a little
00:39:38
bit like this content is tailored for
00:39:40
group sizes of 40 16 and 8 player groups
00:39:44
the maximum size of a party is eight
00:39:47
players dungeons are designed for these
00:39:49
eight player parties twenty percent of
00:39:52
dungeon and raid content is instanced
00:39:54
whilst 80 percent are open world
00:39:57
raids and dungeons
00:39:59
sizes of either 16 or 40 players and
00:40:02
raids and dungeons both use the adaptive
00:40:04
difficulty system that i spoke about
00:40:06
earlier in this video the only problem
00:40:08
that i have is what happens whenever you
00:40:10
bring 50 or 60 or 100. like how is
00:40:13
bringing 70 people to a raid not the
00:40:16
solution to not being able to kill the
00:40:18
boss oh well then it just randomly kills
00:40:20
like let's say 30 people right it just
00:40:22
instantly kills 30 people or anybody
00:40:24
else who engages or whatever um well
00:40:28
okay then you're going to grief people
00:40:30
with that
00:40:31
it's it's very complex to do something
00:40:33
like this
00:40:35
it said max 40. yeah but in open world
00:40:37
content how are you going to put max 40
00:40:39
people you're going to put a wall up so
00:40:40
more people can't get in what if
00:40:41
somebody gets in inside of a raid and
00:40:43
there's you know three people inside
00:40:45
that aren't part of the guild and
00:40:47
they're just there to grief the guild
00:40:49
and then there's three healers that
00:40:50
can't get inside the way that i i do
00:40:52
everything is i reverse engineer how can
00:40:55
i troll somebody with this
00:40:57
and then i figure out how to solve that
00:40:59
problem people will find creation will
00:41:01
have many world bosses designed to be
00:41:03
contested by large groups we were the
00:41:05
ones me and jeff were the ones that
00:41:07
would grief people's kazakh kills in uh
00:41:09
in bc
00:41:10
it was me and jeff
00:41:12
primarily jeff
00:41:13
groups of players and guilds these world
00:41:16
bosses will have a chance to drop
00:41:17
legendary equipment and a tiny chance to
00:41:20
drop eggs that can hatch into
00:41:22
non-permanent limited time flying mounts
00:41:25
due to how they're designed world bosses
00:41:27
are also likely to attract open world
00:41:29
pvp with multiple guilds of fighting for
00:41:32
the glory of the boss kill and loot
00:41:34
monster coin events are another pve vp
00:41:37
event that i spoke about previously
00:41:40
these horde defense style events are
00:41:42
likely to spawn following the leveling
00:41:44
of a node or a world boss being killed
00:41:47
quests are another form of pve content
00:41:49
and they come in multiple forms
00:41:51
events tasks narrative quests daily
00:41:54
quests epic and legendary quests racial
00:41:57
quests class quests and caravan quests
00:42:01
jumping puzzles will also be another fun
00:42:03
aspect of pve in ashes of creation i
00:42:05
love them you'll encounter them whilst
00:42:07
questing and exploring dungeons there
00:42:09
was already like yeah stuff like this in
00:42:11
in like every game is is amazing like i
00:42:14
don't know how many people told me about
00:42:15
like there's a new final fantasy uh
00:42:18
jumping quest
00:42:19
uh there's also
00:42:21
or jumping thing like the kugane tower
00:42:23
was like people were like [ __ ] do you
00:42:25
have to do this right
00:42:26
and yeah guild wars yeah guild wars 2
00:42:29
like i've heard is one of the best uh
00:42:31
best games for this
00:42:33
already a few of these present in the
00:42:34
game during the alpha one test in 2021
00:42:38
[Music]
00:42:39
pvp all right pvp content and yes
00:42:42
there's a lot of it first the only pvp
00:42:45
content that i really care about is
00:42:46
sieges
00:42:48
like any small scale pvp i feel like is
00:42:50
never going to be as good
00:42:52
as an actual pvp game
00:42:55
it's interesting it's dynamic it's cool
00:42:58
but i primarily care about pvp games for
00:43:00
that kind of stuff thus the open world
00:43:02
pvp flagging system otherwise referred
00:43:05
to as the corruption system in most
00:43:08
cases if killed by another player the
00:43:10
only things dropped upon death are
00:43:12
gatherable and crafting materials yeah
00:43:14
that's first three states a player can
00:43:16
be in green non-combatant purple
00:43:19
combatant and
00:43:21
corrupted oh my god each player starts
00:43:23
out as green unless they attack or fight
00:43:26
back with another player at which point
00:43:28
they'll turn purple
00:43:30
green non-combatant players who don't
00:43:32
want to engage in pvp are still
00:43:34
incentivized to at least run away or
00:43:36
fight back no i understand that might
00:43:38
have looked complicated it does not it
00:43:40
it's completely logical if you actually
00:43:42
looked at the chart like you could have
00:43:43
guessed what would have happened without
00:43:45
even looking at it
00:43:46
as being killed as a green player will
00:43:48
result in dropping gatherable and
00:43:49
crafting mats at twice the rate of if
00:43:51
they'd have died whilst purple aka
00:43:54
fighting back
00:43:55
purple indicates a state of consensual
00:43:58
pvp you're actually rewarded by dropping
00:44:00
less gatherable maps on death if you die
00:44:03
in this state if a purple player kills a
00:44:05
green player then they become red
00:44:07
corrupted corrupted players are
00:44:10
criminals and will face increasing
00:44:11
penalties the more green players they
00:44:13
kill such as dampening and even dropping
00:44:16
their gear upon death
00:44:18
if you're a green pure pve player you'd
00:44:20
have to make someone pretty mad whilst
00:44:22
gathering for them to want to turn red
00:44:24
on you if you haven't got any droppable
00:44:26
crafting or gathering mats there's
00:44:28
absolutely no benefit for someone to
00:44:30
flag and kill you so don't worry about
00:44:33
people standing outside of nodes just
00:44:35
spawn killing pve players most of the
00:44:38
time it won't be worth it if that is
00:44:40
something you're worried about though a
00:44:42
bounty hunter system will also exist
00:44:44
where bouncy hunters can hunt down
00:44:46
corrupted players for rewards
00:44:51
node sieges and casualty i think that
00:44:54
stuff is pretty interesting i i'm
00:44:56
curious to see how it's going to go
00:44:58
i can see it going really well and i can
00:45:00
see it going really not well
00:45:02
ages these are two different things a
00:45:05
node siege is where players bands
00:45:07
together to destroy a node resetting its
00:45:09
level to allow adjacent nodes to
00:45:11
progress to higher stages the higher the
00:45:13
level of the node the more work is
00:45:15
required to fulfill the prerequisites to
00:45:17
declare the siege
00:45:19
any player can declare a node siege and
00:45:22
once declared a countdown begins giving
00:45:24
players anywhere between two to five
00:45:26
days notice depending on the level of
00:45:28
the node to prepare for the impending
00:45:30
battle
00:45:31
players cannot transport goods from
00:45:33
their warehouse during this time and
00:45:35
many services in the node will also be
00:45:37
disabled until the outcome of the siege
00:45:39
is decided so your classical soldiers
00:45:42
are massive that's smart because like if
00:45:44
you don't lock them in there then
00:45:46
they'll just move all their stuff away
00:45:47
and it won't matter as much to them the
00:45:49
outcome of the siege
00:45:50
okay well 250 verse 250 players yeah it
00:45:53
has to be like that the occur once per
00:45:56
month there will be a total of five
00:45:58
castles in the world castle sieges will
00:46:00
have multiple objectives for both
00:46:02
attackers and defenders and might also
00:46:05
include raid bosses that attackers can
00:46:06
slay for certain buffs these battles
00:46:10
siege weapons such as catapults
00:46:12
trebuchets cannons and ballistas and
00:46:14
there will be a great deal of prestige
00:46:16
awards
00:46:17
this was really cool
00:46:19
castles in the world look at that guilds
00:46:21
can declare war on each other via the
00:46:23
guild war system once a war has been
00:46:25
declared players in those guilds can
00:46:28
kill each other without penalties guild
00:46:30
wars will have victory and surrender
00:46:32
conditions with guild war objectives
00:46:34
spawning during the server's prime time
00:46:36
when it comes to battlegrounds ashes of
00:46:38
creation will not have traditional
00:46:40
mmobgs where you can queue and are
00:46:42
teleported to an instance however i
00:46:45
think that's probably okay um it just
00:46:48
depends on what happens as time goes on
00:46:50
you know like if there's a demand for
00:46:52
something like warsong gulch or some
00:46:54
equivalent of that then i i think why
00:46:57
not
00:46:58
the game will have a gladiator style
00:47:00
last man standing arena where players
00:47:03
can battle to become the mayor of
00:47:04
militaristic nodes
00:47:06
caravan pvp is something i spoke about
00:47:09
earlier and will be a big catalyst for
00:47:10
pvp in the open world and the game will
00:47:13
have instanced arenas for 1v1 3v3 and
00:47:16
5v5 player group sizes as well as the
00:47:19
ability for players to duel each other
00:47:21
for fun
00:47:24
role players rejoice because ashes of
00:47:26
creation certainly hasn't forgotten
00:47:28
about you in fact quite the opposite
00:47:31
this could be one of the most rp
00:47:32
friendly mmos ever made it's going to be
00:47:35
hard to beat final fantasy especially
00:47:37
with the uh you know cat girls i mean
00:47:40
like
00:47:41
i i don't know about this
00:47:43
first off the game will have nine
00:47:45
different playable races
00:47:47
race locked classes each of which have
00:47:50
their own architectural influence on the
00:47:52
nodes they contribute the most xp to
00:47:54
you've got the kayla and veloun humans
00:47:57
the duneer and nikua dwarfs the renkai
00:48:00
and vek orcs empyrion and pyre elves and
00:48:04
the recently revealed tulnar earlier
00:48:06
this year interesting they look really
00:48:07
good it's their top tier character
00:48:09
customization suite which although i
00:48:11
think the character customizer is s tier
00:48:15
i i absolutely think so i i really
00:48:18
really like it a lot
00:48:20
the time wasn't completely finished was
00:48:23
already up there as being one of the
00:48:24
most in-depth in the mmo genre right up
00:48:27
there with black desert's character
00:48:29
creator that was a good character
00:48:31
without a good fashion and transmog
00:48:33
system right yeah in this game you'll be
00:48:35
able to collect appearances of weapons
00:48:37
armor and accessories and apply it to
00:48:39
what you've currently got equipped
00:48:41
similar to wow's transmog system or
00:48:43
guild wars 2's wardrobe system you will
00:48:46
also be able to dye your gear
00:48:48
additionally those monthly cosmetic
00:48:50
packs you've probably heard people
00:48:52
complaining about in the past yeah will
00:48:54
be one piece outfits similar to how it
00:48:56
works in guild wars 2. you won't be able
00:48:59
to mix and match armor components from
00:49:01
these full costumes meaning the most
00:49:04
that's probably a good thing because
00:49:05
that means that people will feel like
00:49:07
they don't have to get them if they
00:49:09
don't like the entire set
00:49:12
like that that's definitely a good thing
00:49:14
because that way like for example like
00:49:16
if let's say there's one really really
00:49:18
cool chess piece but you don't like the
00:49:20
helmet well then you don't to get it
00:49:22
right you don't feel like oh i need to
00:49:23
get this to finish this set that i have
00:49:25
in my mind yeah it's smart yeah that
00:49:26
actually makes me
00:49:28
like that that's a really smart thing i
00:49:29
never really even thought of until right
00:49:31
now and the fact that they already
00:49:32
considered that is very uh reassuring
00:49:36
unique transmog combinations won't be
00:49:38
something you can just buy from the
00:49:40
cosmetic shop we've already touched on
00:49:42
player housing earlier in this video but
00:49:44
to reiterate they come in three types
00:49:46
instance departments within nodes that
00:49:48
anyone can gain access to for
00:49:50
citizenship real space in node housing
00:49:53
that level up with the node and real
00:49:55
space freeholds which are set sized
00:49:58
plots of land located within a node's
00:50:00
area of influence yeah you'll be able to
00:50:03
decorate your player housing with
00:50:04
furniture craft and process materials at
00:50:06
your freehold and obviously throw kinky
00:50:09
erp
00:50:12
which let's be honest is 90 of the
00:50:15
reason why people rp in mmos right
00:50:17
situated inside
00:50:20
taverns are buildings that act as a
00:50:22
social hub for players to relax role
00:50:24
play buy consumables play music i think
00:50:28
like having a tavern you know like in
00:50:30
wow how like you're in a city
00:50:32
and in the city you uh
00:50:36
you gain rested experience
00:50:38
i think it'd be really cool if you
00:50:40
gained rested experience and you would
00:50:41
gain like 25 faster arrested experience
00:50:44
inside of the tavern of the city that
00:50:47
way it would get more people to be going
00:50:48
in there naturally like new world has
00:50:50
taverns and i've never seen a person in
00:50:52
the tavern new world and the unfortunate
00:50:54
reality is like the taverns are actually
00:50:56
very cozy they look incredible but
00:50:58
there's just simply no reason to go in
00:51:00
there
00:51:02
gain arrested xp by renting a room or
00:51:04
partaking parlor games together
00:51:11
although this will require some testing
00:51:13
when it comes to remote sessions of
00:51:15
creation will have super good standard
00:51:16
animations you'd expect in an mmorpg as
00:51:19
well as consensual multiplayer emotes
00:51:22
such as dancing and hugging additionally
00:51:24
you'll be able to interact with the
00:51:26
environment by leaning on walls sitting
00:51:28
down vaulting over fences mantling and
00:51:31
crouching as previously mentioned ashes
00:51:33
of creation will have a political system
00:51:35
where players can compete to become the
00:51:37
mayor of the node in numerous ways from
00:51:40
this good mayors and bad mayors will
00:51:42
emerge which in itself is another aspect
00:51:44
of role play and finally yes marriage
00:51:47
including same-sex marriages will be a
00:51:50
thing in ashes of creation marriage i
00:51:52
don't see why not i mean the thing is
00:51:54
like that that that's good to me like
00:51:56
i'm down about that oh lord i mean yeah
00:51:59
why the [ __ ] not
00:52:00
it's like let's say uh humans are like
00:52:04
you know like what how do you know elves
00:52:06
aren't like normally gay you know
00:52:08
because like wouldn't it make sense that
00:52:09
like there wouldn't be a lot of like it
00:52:11
because like if you can't reproduce with
00:52:14
the person of the same sex right
00:52:16
wouldn't it make sense that a lot a lot
00:52:17
more of them there wouldn't be as many
00:52:19
of them that could do that you see what
00:52:20
i'm saying is a fair point yeah it
00:52:22
actually logically it makes sense well
00:52:24
you you could make like more of the uh
00:52:27
of like a race that would be like like
00:52:30
non-uh non-reproducing why not yeah sure
00:52:33
why not
00:52:34
it's a fantasy game
00:52:36
that's stupid no it's not it makes sense
00:52:38
they're immortal if you had them
00:52:40
reproducing constantly they would
00:52:42
[ __ ] there be overpopulation see see
00:52:46
see you gotta think allow player housing
00:52:48
permissions to be shared and a quest
00:52:50
might appear related to a marriage
00:52:52
ceremony this system isn't 100 fleshed
00:52:55
out as of making this video but it will
00:52:57
be in the game in one form or another
00:52:59
yeah
00:53:01
that's the world
00:53:02
next let's discuss the world of ashes of
00:53:04
creation starting with server size which
00:53:07
intrepid are aiming to support 8 000 to
00:53:10
10 000 concurrent players online at one
00:53:12
time
00:53:13
five times the number of players that
00:53:15
new world servers can currently handle
00:53:18
i wasn't paying attention to support
00:53:19
eight thousand to ten thousand
00:53:21
concurrent players online at one time
00:53:23
five
00:53:24
yeah two thousand is the max in new
00:53:26
world i i think that might actually
00:53:29
still be too little i i don't know yet
00:53:32
if times the number of players that new
00:53:34
world servers can currently handle when
00:53:36
it comes to server locations the most
00:53:38
recent info i could find is that they
00:53:41
plan on having servers for the following
00:53:42
regions north america europe asia
00:53:46
pacific and australia however other
00:53:48
server regions such as south america are
00:53:51
under consideration stephen if you're
00:53:54
watching this video please heavily
00:53:56
consider adding southeast asia servers
00:53:58
so many people here love mmos but we
00:54:01
have to get wrecked by 150 to 200 ping
00:54:04
connecting to australia yeah i'm sure
00:54:06
the same could be said for south america
00:54:08
connecting to na2 you're making the most
00:54:11
highly anticipated mmo globally and
00:54:14
after all these years of development and
00:54:16
anticipation it'd be a big shame if
00:54:19
large regions of people couldn't enjoy
00:54:20
it to its fullest due to ping and server
00:54:23
regions as previously mentioned the
00:54:25
world in ashes will be 480 kilometers
00:54:28
squared at launch which includes land
00:54:30
and water with an additional 100
00:54:33
kilometers squared for the under realm
00:54:35
the world will be ever changing thanks
00:54:37
to the node system and seasons but i've
00:54:39
already gone in depth on those systems
00:54:41
at the start of this video so best not
00:54:43
to repeat myself further when it comes
00:54:45
to fast travel and flying mounts the
00:54:48
world of ashes is designed so that
00:54:49
distance and scale matters fast travel
00:54:52
will be limited to the superpower of a
00:54:55
scientific node at metropolis levels
00:54:57
yeah it's like a wizard
00:54:58
teleport to smaller nodes within the
00:55:00
metropolis zone of influence and a
00:55:03
family summon with a long cast time that
00:55:06
can be used on up to eight family
00:55:07
members
00:55:08
flying mounts will be i think allowing
00:55:10
groups to summon around in the world is
00:55:13
probably a better thing than not
00:55:15
but like
00:55:16
i i think it's again something that
00:55:19
this could be something that ends up
00:55:22
being a barrier to playing with other
00:55:24
people that just ends up being annoying
00:55:27
so i i don't think that they should hold
00:55:28
on to that if it ends up being something
00:55:31
that's unpleasant or it causes people
00:55:33
more friction
00:55:35
extremely you don't want to have like
00:55:37
what happened
00:55:38
with them being obtained via legendary
00:55:40
drop eggs from world bosses or
00:55:42
obtainable to mayors of metropolis nodes
00:55:44
as well as guild leaders owning one of
00:55:46
the five castles in game out of 10 000
00:55:50
players per server there's likely to
00:55:51
only be between 10 and 15 players who
00:55:54
have access to flying mounts at a time
00:55:56
this game is crazy around flying if you
00:55:59
ever get to experience it then it's a
00:56:01
great achievement or you've been
00:56:03
extremely lucky for the most part you'll
00:56:05
travel around i think that they should
00:56:07
have it where like you can get a flying
00:56:09
mount from effectively like think of it
00:56:11
like wow like think about like proto
00:56:13
drakes and wrath like you could get a
00:56:15
proto-drake just from getting really
00:56:17
[ __ ] lucky and seeing the time loss
00:56:18
proto-drake or getting the egg out of
00:56:20
the oracle's egg right and you get the
00:56:22
green one or you could get the uh the
00:56:24
black proto-drake from doing immortal or
00:56:26
something like that
00:56:28
and i think also
00:56:30
there's no reason that like you have to
00:56:31
have either or you could you should be
00:56:33
able to have like maybe some mounts like
00:56:35
let's say
00:56:36
uh like like there are animals i think
00:56:38
sugar gliders are one of them uh that
00:56:40
like they can fly temporarily or like a
00:56:42
chicken for example like you've had a
00:56:44
chicken mouth that can fly a little bit
00:56:45
but not a lot so i don't think that
00:56:47
there should just be two distinctions
00:56:48
there should be mounts that can
00:56:49
sometimes fly a little bit but not all
00:56:51
the time like a griffin or a dragon the
00:56:53
world via ground
00:56:55
water mounts or ships if you wish to
00:56:58
traverse the great ocean
00:57:00
as i previously mentioned ashes will
00:57:02
have a fully explorable ocean similar to
00:57:04
our cage there will be coastal nodes
00:57:07
harbors naval caravans treasure hunting
00:57:10
underwater dungeons naval quests naval
00:57:13
pvp and multiple different ship sizes
00:57:16
ranging from i'm so excited
00:57:18
similar to arcades i wanna have a giant
00:57:21
[ __ ] dreadnought ship like this
00:57:24
massive [ __ ] like it's basically a
00:57:27
castle
00:57:29
on on the on the sea
00:57:32
and there's like cannons that are out of
00:57:33
it like yeah a [ __ ] fight against the
00:57:35
kraken out in the open world
00:57:38
we'll say
00:57:41
like the negalith which was recently
00:57:43
teased and should be present in alpha 2.
00:57:46
lauren's story is definitely something
00:57:47
that's present in ashes of creation
00:57:49
however it's not one of those mmos where
00:57:51
you're the chosen one hero of light
00:57:53
center of the universe god of all things
00:57:56
with npcs worshiping you upon sight
00:57:58
because you followed the same linear
00:58:00
story as millions before you
00:58:02
storytelling will be more i think that
00:58:04
either one of those are good like i used
00:58:06
to think that it was only good if you
00:58:07
were an adventurer
00:58:08
but i think that like final fantasy and
00:58:10
also lost art to a lesser extent like
00:58:13
taught me that like you can actually
00:58:14
have a game where your character is the
00:58:16
main character in the game that's an mmo
00:58:18
and you just have to have a certain
00:58:20
level of suspension of disbelief
00:58:21
whenever you're playing with other
00:58:22
people however i don't think that one is
00:58:25
inherently better than the other it just
00:58:27
depends on how they're designed based on
00:58:29
learning about past events in the law
00:58:31
self-contained short story quests and
00:58:34
the overarching story of the world's
00:58:36
development this game actually has a ton
00:58:38
of lore with a lot of stuff being kept
00:58:40
secret for launch but you can read more
00:58:42
about that stuff on the wiki as this
00:58:44
video is starting to get pretty long as
00:58:46
it is
00:58:49
i hope they approach the war in the game
00:58:51
similar to kind of how dark souls and
00:58:53
elden ring and bloodborne approaches
00:58:55
lore where like the lore is there and
00:58:57
it's very deep but you don't really have
00:58:59
to deal with it unless you want to it's
00:59:01
kind of like how in wow like most people
00:59:03
play wow like they don't know
00:59:05
like a lot of the war at all
00:59:08
and i think like earning and like
00:59:09
learning the lore on your own i think
00:59:11
makes it more compelling and interesting
00:59:13
because it's something that like
00:59:14
effectively like it's it's it's your
00:59:16
discovery
00:59:18
the artisan class and profession system
00:59:20
in ashes looks something like this
00:59:22
you've got three artisan classes
00:59:25
gathering processing or crafting
00:59:27
each of which contain various
00:59:29
professions gathering professions
00:59:31
include farming fishing herbalism
00:59:34
lumberjacking mining and taming
00:59:37
processing professions include i think
00:59:39
you should be able to cut down any tree
00:59:42
in the game you should be able to cut it
00:59:43
down it doesn't matter how big it is or
00:59:45
what kind of tree it is you should be
00:59:46
able to cut it down one way or another
00:59:48
every single trip injury and smelting
00:59:51
and crafting professions include alchemy
00:59:53
armor smithing even the big ones in
00:59:55
caravan building carpentry
01:00:01
siege weapons and weaponsmithing a
01:00:03
character may only master up to a
01:00:05
maximum of two professions within one
01:00:08
artisan class
01:00:10
so let's say you choose to be a gatherer
01:00:12
you could max out mining and
01:00:14
lumberjacking but you could not max out
01:00:16
mining and alchemy if you're a crafter
01:00:19
you could choose to max out cooking and
01:00:21
jewelcrafting but you could not max out
01:00:23
cooking and smelting to get around this
01:00:26
limitation you may use alts or join
01:00:28
guilds and work together to fulfill your
01:00:30
crafting needs the most unique
01:00:32
profession in ashes of creation has to
01:00:34
be animal husbandry in which you can
01:00:37
breed different animals together to
01:00:38
create weird and wonderful hybrid mounts
01:00:41
like this wonderful half griffon half
01:00:43
butterfly raccoon monstrosity
01:00:49
bro somebody just went crazy
01:00:51
let's discuss what for many people is
01:00:53
the most important thing about ashes of
01:00:55
creation the combat and class system
01:00:58
ashes of creation will have a hybrid
01:01:00
combat system similar to guild wars 2.
01:01:03
combat for me is the most important
01:01:04
thing part of the game if combat's good
01:01:07
the game's good and i'll play it if
01:01:08
combat's bad the game's bad and i
01:01:10
probably won't play it that much it's
01:01:12
that simple
01:01:13
combat and gameplay previous videos i
01:01:16
couldn't really show you what this
01:01:17
combat would look like but recently
01:01:19
they've made substantial progress yeah
01:01:21
this is really basic melee weapon
01:01:23
attacks and boy does it look a hell of a
01:01:26
lot better than the combat the game had
01:01:28
in past tests
01:01:29
as this system is in the middle of a
01:01:31
full redesign and we haven't even had
01:01:33
the chance to see a lot of the
01:01:34
redesigned abilities yet looks better
01:01:36
yeah and like again i think that really
01:01:39
and this is what stephen said in the uh
01:01:41
the the time that this got announced and
01:01:43
it was shown
01:01:45
is what you really should judge this off of
01:01:47
is like
01:01:49
the last alpha versus this and this is
01:01:54
5x better than the last one like it it's
01:01:57
like it's way way better i don't think
01:01:59
this is a finished product
01:02:02
but i think that it is tremendously
01:02:03
better it is insane progress we're going
01:02:06
to talk too in depth on it but basically
01:02:08
when it's done expect guild wars 2
01:02:10
combat but better some abilities need to
01:02:13
be targeted whilst others are aoe
01:02:15
telegraph and frontal cone attacks
01:02:17
that's smart you'll be able to dodge
01:02:19
blink and iframe depending on your class
01:02:21
a lot of effort is going into audio
01:02:23
visual feedback and as you can see by
01:02:25
the damage numbers they're going with
01:02:27
something that looks very vanilla wow
01:02:29
which i personally love vanilla wow has
01:02:32
the best numbers of any game i think
01:02:34
lost ark is equivalent keep an eye out
01:02:36
for more updates on this system over the
01:02:38
next few months but so far the new
01:02:40
design direction
01:02:42
he said that you can change when it
01:02:43
comes to classes ashes of creation is
01:02:45
using a similar system to our cage but
01:02:47
instead of a possible 220 classes
01:02:51
there's 64 different possible class
01:02:53
combos in ashes yeah the way this works
01:02:55
is you've got eight primary classes bard
01:02:58
cleric fighter mage ranger rogue
01:03:01
summoner and tank you can then choose a
01:03:03
secondary class out of the same eight
01:03:05
options to determine your overall class
01:03:08
if your primary class is fighter and
01:03:10
your second class is also fighter you'd
01:03:12
be a weapon master for example so like
01:03:14
i'll probably be like a dreadnought or a
01:03:17
weapon master mcconnell's probably going
01:03:20
to be a high sword
01:03:22
um maybe it may be a paladin but i
01:03:24
probably not
01:03:25
and like you guys can see how how this
01:03:27
works i think this is really cool
01:03:29
and like you have combos here like
01:03:31
necromancer warlock scion
01:03:35
uh apostle siren
01:03:37
like this kind of stuff is really cool
01:03:39
primary summon a secondary would be
01:03:41
warlock summoner primary mage secondary
01:03:45
would be spellmanser you get the idea
01:03:47
when it comes to leveling the level cap
01:03:49
at launch will be level 50. and it's
01:03:51
intended to take roughly 45 days of
01:03:54
playing four to six hours per day to
01:03:56
reach max level at each level you'll
01:03:58
receive increased rewards from skill
01:04:00
points to new quest unlocks and other
01:04:03
stuff to make leveling feel rewarding
01:04:05
yeah
01:04:06
[Music]
01:04:08
if you've made it this far
01:04:09
congratulations
01:04:10
no the odds are like for a lot of people
01:04:13
like think of it like this most people
01:04:15
it takes them like probably like
01:04:18
five to ten i'd say seven to ten days to
01:04:20
get max level and wow
01:04:22
every expansion
01:04:24
and how when do we how do we do it well
01:04:26
we get it on the first day we're gonna
01:04:28
probably get we're gonna probably get
01:04:29
max level first first reset maybe second
01:04:31
reset now like oh obviously like what
01:04:33
what is the leveling going to be it's
01:04:35
gonna probably be me s and mcconnell
01:04:38
maybe miz like rich like sitting in
01:04:40
discord leveling right and like probably
01:04:42
bring in some of like our friends from
01:04:44
like games and like we just play
01:04:45
together
01:04:46
and level up so like i'm not trying like
01:04:48
i don't want to go
01:04:49
and like force
01:04:52
level as fast as humanly possible but i
01:04:55
do want to be very efficient like i i
01:04:57
don't want to waste a lot of time
01:05:00
i want to get to max level you've just
01:05:02
been absolutely battered with
01:05:03
information
01:05:06
from the sheer amount of research and
01:05:08
writing that's gone into this video it's
01:05:10
been five years since my first ashes of
01:05:12
creation vid back in 2017 and the
01:05:15
footage of the game back then compared
01:05:17
to now is completely unrecognizable
01:05:20
intrepid studios has grown to a team
01:05:22
size of over 150 developers attracting
01:05:25
some of the best mmo talent from north
01:05:27
america and
01:05:28
i think that a lot of people now
01:05:30
especially after seeing the promise that
01:05:31
the game has shown are are going to be
01:05:33
more likely to like try to invest into
01:05:35
the game i i think also like i'm going a
01:05:38
lot i'm gonna play the game pretty
01:05:39
hardcore at the beginning but like my
01:05:41
focus will always be and has always been
01:05:44
uh the quality of the stream so like if
01:05:46
i feel like the stream is go would be
01:05:49
better if i leveled slower then i will
01:05:52
do that if i think the stream would be
01:05:53
better if i just got to max level and i
01:05:55
did the max level content then i would
01:05:56
do that i will do whatever is best for
01:05:58
the stream the upgrades to unreal engine
01:06:00
5 they've been absolutely pumping out
01:06:02
substantial progress with every dev live
01:06:05
stream
01:06:06
some might say that i shouldn't hype
01:06:08
this game so much and it's still just a
01:06:10
pipe dream but honestly i think it's
01:06:12
clearly not a pipe dream i mean they're
01:06:13
developing the game they have been
01:06:15
developing the game they give monthly
01:06:16
updates the monthly updates show
01:06:19
tremendous progress
01:06:20
everything about the game looks
01:06:22
promising and good does it mean it's
01:06:24
going to be good no but everything about
01:06:26
the game so far looks promising and good
01:06:28
nothing wrong with getting excited for a
01:06:29
new mmo especially in a genre that's
01:06:32
been so full of disappointment for so
01:06:34
many years the excitement anticipation
01:06:37
and speculation of a new mmo is almost
01:06:40
as fun as playing it at this point but
01:06:42
hey
01:06:43
maybe
01:06:44
you could say i'm high
01:06:47
on copium oh
01:06:51
what the hell is this
01:06:54
oh my god sir there's a lot of copium
01:06:58
levels what do we do yes
01:07:01
i felt it
01:07:02
no way
01:07:04
initiate
01:07:05
operation hopium
01:07:08
but that's it for this video guys this
01:07:10
one took a ton of work to make sure
01:07:12

01:07:23

01:07:24
