Fly high, Fakti 🕊️ Dear NomiaNation community, To some of you who still are not aware, our community member, beloved family member, Lisa's boyfriend, amazing talented artist and overall a kind-hearted person; Leo aka @faktimusic has passed away. I had the chance to collaborate with him on "By Our Side" and he got to share many of his own beautiful songs on my label too, that I'm thankful of. Even though we personally were not the closest, we shared something special together, leaving a piece of our souls into our song, that connects us in a deeper way. He was also a big part of; and very much loved in our community, that is all so meaningful to me. During the process of working on "Until We Meet Again", we got to know Leo even better, from pictures, voice recordings and past chats he had with people. Everyone kept saying how much of a kind person he was and that became clear from those interactions. Today, on the 1st of March would be Leo's 23rd birthday. This song is a tribute to him. The process started by me and Lunaar being in touch, thinking what we should do in our community for him after the news. Puzzling the pieces together, one thing led to another, and all of a sudden it was now me @Lunaar @RUDmusic @GarBrianmusic and Lisa that began to work on a song together. This, however was not just any other song, it was Leo's original track. The same audio file was once sent to my label as a demo, Lunaar, RUD and Gar Brian, to all one by one. What was the song's title Leo had given to it? "Farewell". Wow. We can think of it like this: "Farewell..." was Leo's way of saying goodbye without him being aware of it and we just ended the sentence for him "...Until We Meet Again". His song and melody was marvellous, it could have just used some tweaks that he never had the time to work on in the end, unfortunately. So, it made sense that we combined our strengths, finishing it together. We came up with vocals and got to insert our own ideas, yet also keep some of Leo's work included. The drop melody, one of the guitar melodies after the first drop & sub bass in the House drops for example are Leo's and some of his synths are there in the background also. Some of the vocals are actual voice recordings between Leo and Lisa, so you'll hear their previous conversations there. Just incredible, right? The images in the song's cover art (as seen during the intro) include Leo, some of his family, friends and Lisa. It has been fulfilling to connect with Lisa and via who we even got to kind of communicate with a few of Leo's family members with, having a fitting "end" to this chapter. Until We Meet Again, of course. Shout out to @Lunaar @RUDmusic @GarBrianmusic Thank you for showing willingness without hesitation to be a part of this collaboration. You all showcased what fantastic producers you are, with endless creativity! It was great building this song with all four of you, Lisa included. This was one of the most fun, genuine, and real art projects I've got to be involved in, with a meaningful story and cause behind it. It is unbelievable what we've got to create in just 3 weeks of time. To Lisa & Leo's close ones, I wish you all the best.
