00:00:01
hi guys yeah my man welcome back to my
00:00:04
channel
00:00:05
right um
00:00:06
i don't think i've i'm sure i've not
00:00:08
done a video on this um i'm going to be
00:00:11
changing the belt on
00:00:13
cyber
00:00:14
uh she's starting to feel a bit jewelry
00:00:17
um as i've said i think it was the
00:00:19
liverpool room that did it so
00:00:23
new belt
00:00:24
um what i'm gonna do is
00:00:26
i don't know whether because i i'm gonna
00:00:28
be working outside and the wind's quite
00:00:30
high at the minute um
00:00:32
whether you'll see much me talking um
00:00:35
what i'm gonna try and do with the video
00:00:37
is either i'll try and
00:00:40
try my best from the editing to either
00:00:43
hot um
00:00:44
time lapse
00:00:46
um something for you um probably cut in
00:00:49
in places
00:00:50
trying to explain roughly what i'm gonna
00:00:52
do um i hope the video sort of gives you
00:00:54
an idea how to change the belt on a
00:00:57
yamaha tri-city um
00:00:59
you know what she would unscrew
00:01:01
first one bowl etc etc
00:01:04
um we're not changing the rollers today
00:01:07
um
00:01:08
i have a new variator for it but i don't
00:01:10
feel that that's
00:01:12
ready at the moment for that
00:01:14
um so it's just going to be the belt
00:01:16
clean up
00:01:18
but hopefully this will give you
00:01:20
um a rough idea
00:01:22
on
00:01:23
how
00:01:24
the
00:01:25
belt has changed on the yamaha atrocity
00:01:28
it's absolutely easy um just as long as
00:01:30
you've got the right tools and i'll try
00:01:32
and show you the best way i can
00:01:33
okay i hope that's explained most to you
00:01:36
um so the next few clips either be time
00:01:39
lapse if i can edit them in um or just
00:01:42
be adding brief bits of explaining
00:01:45
roughly what's what okay
00:01:51
right okay so
00:01:53
for this setup you're going to require
00:01:56
a phillips screwdriver
00:01:58
now obviously um your atrocities you
00:02:00
won't have this so
00:02:02
ignore this it's
00:02:04
those that you have anyway
00:02:06
so basically what we've got now got to
00:02:07
do is unscrew the air box
00:02:10
and unscrew the outer covering
00:02:12
and then i'll come back and explain the
00:02:15
rest
00:02:19
so you basically end up with six screws
00:02:23
just unscrew them
00:02:25
now
00:02:27
just remove the air box
00:02:29
now
00:02:30
this is normal what you're about to see
00:02:34
you do get a bit of oil gunk
00:02:37
like it's um
00:02:39
return flow
00:02:41
um
00:02:42
don't explain i can't explain the ins
00:02:45
and outs of it but basically when that
00:02:47
all goes back together
00:02:49
we'll use brake cleaner to clean it up
00:02:52
um
00:02:54
so obviously
00:02:55
that's your air box
00:03:04
so
00:03:05
now we've got our own stoke
00:03:07
basically that's your air filter
00:03:09
mine's probably halfway there it's
00:03:12
getting ready for a change
00:03:14
i'll probably try and get a bus with a
00:03:15
bit of brake cleaner and
00:03:17
make it look a bit longer
00:03:19
so yeah um
00:03:22
that's one side um
00:03:24
so next we've got some
00:03:26
10 10 ml bolts here i believe 12 mil
00:03:29
bolts
00:03:30
undo them just lift the
00:03:32
air box cover out the way
00:03:38
all right guys so basically um
00:03:41
also just brought a bit bit of brake
00:03:42
cleaner in that bit
00:03:44
uh bungee strap just basically
00:03:46
loop it over the box
00:03:48
up and it's just clipped in
00:03:50
on the spring on the other side
00:03:52
that just lifts the box high enough so
00:03:54
you can access the outer cover here
00:04:00
all right so again um
00:04:03
it's a black outer cover
00:04:05
we'll have these type there's six of
00:04:07
them obviously
00:04:08
i have a
00:04:10
that on mine
00:04:11
so i mean
00:04:12
you have six of them now
00:04:14
one thing i will recommend on the end
00:04:16
max engines
00:04:17
these covers these
00:04:20
can you see
00:04:22
make sure your screwdriver is big enough
00:04:23
because you can easily round them out
00:04:26
and
00:04:27
when you come to undo them
00:04:29
because of that little rubber there
00:04:31
you've got to make sure obviously the
00:04:32
screwdriver
00:04:34
is big enough to fit in there but also
00:04:35
just give it a little push and
00:04:38
anti-clockwise
00:04:40
and then just come out as simple as that
00:04:42
so you have six of them
00:04:45
then basically
00:04:46
you just pull this cover mate variate
00:04:48
the filters fell off now
00:04:51
so that's it
00:04:53
basically
00:04:54
actually variate a filter
00:04:56
i mean that's not too bad actually
00:05:01
but yeah so that obviously fits in there
00:05:08
uh
00:05:09
yeah so basically you would then pull
00:05:10
this out just undo that bit there
00:05:13
just tuck
00:05:15
that up there
00:05:17
and now it's just the metal how to cover
00:05:20
it um i'll come back to you surely
00:05:25
right so for this process you've got
00:05:27
about eight to nine eight mil
00:05:29
um bolts
00:05:31
all
00:05:33
around the outer casing now on this
00:05:39
make sure you get quarter inch drive the
00:05:41
reason why
00:05:43
is if you have a half inch drive like
00:05:44
normal um it's not going to work because
00:05:47
basically there's a long one inside
00:05:49
there
00:05:50
well you can see why you need quarter
00:05:52
inch
00:05:53
you're not gonna get a half inch socket
00:05:55
in there
00:05:56
so yeah that's
00:05:58
that's that i'm just gonna undo that and
00:06:00
i'll come back to you
00:06:04
right so
00:06:06
they're the ones that fit on the outer
00:06:08
edge
00:06:12
and that one as you can clearly see is
00:06:14
bigger
00:06:15
comes out of there
00:06:17
so now
00:06:19
you basically lift this cover off
00:06:24
put to one side
00:06:26
and basically here you have access to
00:06:28
your drive belt
00:06:32
it's not too bad but
00:06:35
yeah
00:06:36
she's definitely uh doing this
00:06:39
and i'm pulling away from the junction
00:06:41
she's whipping
00:06:43
um so basically now we've
00:06:45
got to the heart of the matter uh
00:06:49
basically we need a special tool for
00:06:50
this unless you've got an air at all um
00:06:53
you're not gonna be able to just be able
00:06:54
to put
00:06:56
a socket onto that because obviously
00:06:58
it will just
00:06:59
move
00:07:00
so
00:07:02
what we need
00:07:05
is this guy
00:07:08
known as a clutch holding tool
00:07:11
and basically what uh
00:07:13
the easiest way to explain it is them
00:07:15
two pins there
00:07:16
line up
00:07:18
obviously into
00:07:21
there there
00:07:23
now
00:07:24
on the on this one
00:07:26
it's actually quite a tight fit but i
00:07:28
can just get it to squeeze onto there
00:07:31
and then basically what i'm going to
00:07:32
then do
00:07:34
is put that
00:07:36
under there
00:07:37
i'll put this on and i'll come back and
00:07:40
you'll see see what see what i mean
00:07:46
right so basically i've grown it onto
00:07:48
there on the handle just under the back
00:07:50
of the clutch
00:07:52
now they say it's a clutch holding tool
00:07:53
you're supposed to hold that
00:07:56
whilst
00:07:57
doing that with the half inch wrench
00:07:59
now
00:08:02
it's an 18mm socket that fits on this
00:08:06
now personally i find it's a lot easier
00:08:08
it'll stay there whilst you crack that
00:08:10
off now make sure you are square with
00:08:14
this don't you know at an angle or
00:08:15
anything like that because you don't
00:08:16
want to be chewing that you're not doing
00:08:18
that not up
00:08:19
um so basically it's just obvious i
00:08:22
won't be able to do it also in the phone
00:08:24
but
00:08:25
basically just crack that off um
00:08:27
normally what we do here is there is a
00:08:30
red loctite
00:08:31
just to stop that not from vibrating off
00:08:34
um
00:08:35
but i'll come back whenever
00:08:36
this removed
00:08:41
all right so now we're loose um this bit
00:08:43
is vital that you follow this order
00:08:46
so basically the nut off
00:08:49
the little washer
00:08:51
thingy
00:08:53
what i just basically do is
00:08:55
just keep them like that
00:08:57
stack them
00:09:00
probably over there
00:09:02
and then basically
00:09:04
when i pull this this will take the
00:09:05
pulley off
00:09:07
okay
00:09:09
so there's your front fixed tooth pulley
00:09:12
and obviously your belt your variator
00:09:15
now on yours i've took mine off because
00:09:18
there are a bit of a pain in the
00:09:19
backside
00:09:20
you will have a gasket
00:09:22
a little metal gasket that runs around
00:09:24
there
00:09:26
now pouring the cover on um obviously i
00:09:29
do have to line the holes up around the
00:09:31
cover
00:09:36
basically obviously the gasket fits
00:09:38
around that and obviously the gasket has
00:09:40
holes accordingly
00:09:42
so obviously when you put the cover back
00:09:43
on i'm not going to show you that bit
00:09:44
but
00:09:45
um
00:09:46
when obviously the reverse process what
00:09:48
i'm doing here
00:09:50
obviously when you put the bolts through
00:09:52
there
00:09:53
you will have to obviously line your
00:09:54
gasket up but it's not difficult just
00:09:56
remember
00:09:57
to put your gasket on
00:09:59
first
00:10:01
before you put your new belt on because
00:10:04
there's a piece that runs
00:10:06
down here and obviously if you put your
00:10:08
belt on then you put your gasket on
00:10:10
well
00:10:11
you can see
00:10:12
so remember gasket on first then your
00:10:15
belt when you bring it back together
00:10:19
right so basically
00:10:22
it's easy just
00:10:23
pull it off the front
00:10:25
around
00:10:26
there
00:10:28
there you go
00:10:30
one simple
00:10:32
v-belt which is
00:10:34
frankly garbage
00:10:36
um
00:10:38
so basically
00:10:40
now for your variator don't just pull
00:10:42
this off because you've got your weights
00:10:44
behind it
00:10:45
just get your finger
00:10:46
slide it forward
00:10:48
and get your hand and there's a plate
00:10:49
just behind
00:10:51
now bear in mind you've got a collar
00:10:52
here as well so this is loose
00:10:55
keep holding the plate behind
00:10:57
and slide off the shaft
00:11:00
yeah
00:11:02
okay
00:11:07
so you've got here
00:11:09
yeah
00:11:10
your bucket your variator
00:11:12
sliding pieces lift this off
00:11:15
put to one side
00:11:19
and inside here
00:11:22
you have your roller weights
00:11:25
you need to remove the collar it's still
00:11:27
a bit warm from
00:11:29
ticking around
00:11:32
so basically that in this
00:11:34
particular bike you have six
00:11:37
rollers oh
00:11:39
well we say might be belt issues
00:11:44
i don't know whether you can see that on
00:11:45
there
00:11:48
she's uh kind of flat
00:11:50
that could prove thingy problematic
00:11:54
um
00:11:55
but to be fair i mean
00:11:57
this time round it didn't feel like um
00:12:00
rollers
00:12:01
but
00:12:02
that one is clear proof
00:12:04
that it's clear proof that there's uh
00:12:07
well you can see it there
00:12:10
clearly defined there can you see
00:12:12
that's flattened
00:12:14
that would that would definitely cause
00:12:16
hesitation of the lights
00:12:19
um
00:12:21
what i'll do i'll have a look into these
00:12:24
and then i'll explain a bit more
00:12:26
okay
00:12:30
right so on the closer inspection we're
00:12:32
not just doing their belt change this is
00:12:35
what i'm saying
00:12:36
i can roughly give you an idea what's
00:12:39
wrong with the bike but up until you
00:12:41
physically open it and have a look
00:12:44
you never know
00:12:46
basically
00:12:48
we have five rollers
00:12:50
that are flat spotted that's the only
00:12:52
one that's really survived
00:12:54
so that's gonna cause hesitation now in
00:12:57
this scenario
00:12:58
um
00:13:00
let me just have a look
00:13:02
i do have some rollers from there for
00:13:04
um but basically in this scenario
00:13:07
probably you could replace the rollers
00:13:09
and this belt would be fine um
00:13:12
let me just put it back on just to give
00:13:14
you an idea so
00:13:16
remember directional arrows
00:13:18
now
00:13:21
a new belt
00:13:23
oh yeah
00:13:25
i mean i can put my finger in there a
00:13:27
new belt is quite tight to that pulley
00:13:30
i mean
00:13:32
do i change it i suppose it's here now
00:13:34
um
00:13:36
so that belt's got six and a half
00:13:38
thousand on it i mean they are good for
00:13:40
twelve and a half and i mean it could
00:13:41
last i mean if you do the rollers
00:13:45
but normally what you find is actually
00:13:48
if the
00:13:51
see that gap
00:13:53
if you bounce slack
00:13:55
it puts strain on other bits so
00:13:58
if that's slapping around
00:14:00
ultimately it's going to have an effect
00:14:02
on the weakest components and these
00:14:05
unfortunately are well
00:14:07
the
00:14:08
metal marshmallows to be fair
00:14:10
um
00:14:12
so yeah i think what i'm going to do is
00:14:14
have a look for some rollers um so we're
00:14:17
going to be doing a roller and bolt
00:14:18
change now
00:14:19
wasn't what i wanted to do but whilst
00:14:21
we're here we may as well um
00:14:24
i mean that's the current
00:14:27
variator it's not too bad we'll clean
00:14:30
that up with a bit of brake cleaner as i
00:14:32
say i'm not going to replace that new
00:14:33
variator yet i just don't think it's
00:14:36
worth it
00:14:37
um
00:14:38
so yeah i'll come back to you and
00:14:41
take things from there
00:14:44
right so for this intended purpose
00:14:48
um
00:14:49
in atrocity
00:14:51
these rollers basically are 10 grams
00:14:55
now this is uncharted territory and i
00:14:57
may make another video
00:14:58
um
00:15:00
these are the that's the size you
00:15:02
require
00:15:04
six of them but these are 10.5 grams so
00:15:08
the 0.5 per gram heavier
00:15:11
now what this means is basically
00:15:13
the point may
00:15:16
it may tend to let me get this right
00:15:20
a lighter roller will give you a bit
00:15:22
more accel um acceleration off the line
00:15:25
um slightly heavier roller providing
00:15:27
it's not overkill
00:15:29
will
00:15:31
give you a slightly better top end
00:15:33
um i mean this bike's pretty nippy so i
00:15:36
don't think basically one two
00:15:39
uh you're looking at three grams extra
00:15:42
in weight
00:15:43
and i mean to be fair
00:15:46
i mean i know i've got the packaging on
00:15:48
that but
00:15:52
from hand weight from what i can feel
00:15:55
there
00:15:56
you know you've got 60 grams there
00:16:01
there's nothing in it really there
00:16:03
really isn't
00:16:04
i mean yes i know i've got the plastic
00:16:05
and whatnot but
00:16:10
yeah to be honest they actually feel a
00:16:12
little bit heavier if i'm going to be
00:16:13
fair
00:16:14
so
00:16:16
yeah i'm going to give them a try anyway
00:16:18
i'm going to give them a try
00:16:20
my worst case scenario i'm back to
00:16:22
square up i'm gonna have to do it again
00:16:24
um but this is obviously giving you an idea
00:16:26
obviously how to change rollers and
00:16:28
belts
00:16:30
um so basically the next job
00:16:38
brake cleaner
00:16:40
basically we need to clean all this muck
00:16:43
and in the clutch assembly
00:16:46
um i'll try and do this whilst i'm on
00:16:48
video
00:17:05
[Music]
00:17:14
i mean that'll just get rid of some of
00:17:16
the
00:17:18
break
00:17:19
all the belt dust and look at your thing
00:17:21
which you don't really want
00:17:24
right so that's that um
00:17:28
so next i'm going to
00:17:30
basically just clean it up with the rag
00:17:32
wipe the shaft
00:17:33
on the thingy on the engine
00:17:35
um and then i'll show you a bit more
00:17:39
right so basically i've cleaned that
00:17:41
variator up with
00:17:43
the brake cleaner
00:17:45
these now so basically what i'm going to
00:17:47
do is
00:17:49
drop these
00:17:51
into there
00:17:55
trying to look through the camera and
00:17:57
that's not as easy as it looks
00:18:03
um
00:18:04
so basically on the cvt transmission um
00:18:07
when that spins they basically flare out
00:18:10
up against the edge as they move
00:18:12
and the thing is it's the
00:18:15
constant duration at high velocity
00:18:19
you know when it's up there like that
00:18:20
that's what
00:18:21
it initially creates
00:18:24
um
00:18:25
you know that flat spot as you can see
00:18:27
there
00:18:28
causes that
00:18:31
um
00:18:33
i don't know what to think with the
00:18:34
overall finish on these
00:18:36
i mean these are genuine yamaha parts
00:18:38
these aren't
00:18:39
i mean
00:18:41
the life of them i'm not too sure about
00:18:43
um
00:18:44
that is something i'm currently testing
00:18:46
right now
00:18:47
um but we'll see
00:18:49
i mean
00:18:50
what my plan was with a slightly heavier
00:18:52
roller was because the engine generally
00:18:55
has bearable valve timing and it's a bit
00:18:58
nippy which is a good thing and i do
00:18:59
want it to be nippy off
00:19:02
off you know the junction enough to
00:19:03
settle eyes
00:19:05
but i just sometimes thought maybe if
00:19:07
it's a bit too
00:19:09
fiery um
00:19:11
it's flaring them out all the time quite
00:19:13
quickly if that makes sense you know
00:19:14
that means
00:19:16
i know that's quite a you know if you
00:19:18
know what i mean that's doing that all
00:19:20
the time it's very rapid and if they're
00:19:22
a bit heavier they're a bit slower to
00:19:24
push
00:19:26
they'll still move but obviously it's
00:19:28
you know 0.5 program heavier
00:19:31
um
00:19:32
whether the engine will like it i don't
00:19:34
know i mean i did speak to a scooter guy
00:19:38
and he says
00:19:40
for
00:19:41
the capacity the engine the power of it
00:19:45
you're not doing a massive increase in
00:19:47
weight so it's not ultimately having a
00:19:51
um negative effect on the power
00:19:54
obviously that the engine's limited to
00:19:56
he said obviously if your love was like
00:19:58
putting a 15 gram roller in you'd
00:20:00
instantly notice the bite wouldn't go
00:20:02
anywhere
00:20:04
but hopefully this should because it's
00:20:06
only
00:20:07
taking three grams
00:20:09
um
00:20:10
but i mean if i could
00:20:12
i would rather just have a smooth
00:20:15
grand i mean i don't i don't mind being
00:20:17
quick off the lines but i would prefer
00:20:20
um
00:20:22
more reasonable really i'm sort of that
00:20:25
age where i'll be i'm happy with a more
00:20:27
reasonable acceleration to begin with
00:20:30
and a nicer top end
00:20:32
i mean she does 62.
00:20:34
i doubt it i very doubt that we'll do
00:20:36
anything more
00:20:38
but if i could see 64 rather than 62
00:20:40
because of the extra 3 gram here
00:20:43
that would be very nice
00:20:45
um but seriously don't think that's
00:20:47
gonna happen
00:20:48
um
00:20:50
she'll probably still remain the same
00:20:52
but anyway regardless we're going off
00:20:53
track here um we're here to do the belt
00:20:56
um the rollers so basically what's next
00:21:01
if i um find it
00:21:03
i've obviously got to clean this up now
00:21:06
when we're going back onto here
00:21:09
you are obviously
00:21:11
a metal on metal shaft
00:21:13
now metal on metal doesn't like each
00:21:14
other so what to aid things
00:21:20
do you want some high performance grease
00:21:22
basically
00:21:24
so i got this
00:21:27
just a nice little charity donation for
00:21:30
this little thing
00:21:31
so basically what i will do is
00:21:38
spray a bit of grease onto there
00:21:43
i mean
00:21:45
excellent lubrication buildup and dust
00:21:47
temperatures up to 200 degrees
00:21:50
if it's any more than that well
00:21:52
but anyway so i'm going to clean this up
00:21:54
put it all back together and we'll be
00:21:57
back to there
00:22:00
also to note just a bit of grease into
00:22:02
there as well
00:22:06
right also to note with this
00:22:10
obviously
00:22:11
clean that up with brake cleaner both
00:22:13
sides now you slide in pieces and that
00:22:16
plastic thing has just fallen off um
00:22:19
you can't basically put this the wrong
00:22:21
way because if you put
00:22:23
they're meant to be that way um
00:22:26
basically if you put them
00:22:29
the wrong way around let me just show
00:22:31
you just two seconds
00:22:37
right so if i was putting them the wrong
00:22:38
way around one you can see they don't
00:22:41
fit and
00:22:42
it just doesn't line up
00:22:45
so also make sure
00:22:48
they're the right way around
00:23:05
oh good one
00:23:08
oh good
00:23:09
all right so we'll just
00:23:17
yeah so basically get your pieces in
00:23:19
correctly and obviously the top of the
00:23:22
variator
00:23:23
fits in now
00:23:25
you have to keep hold of this whilst
00:23:27
obviously putting that under there
00:23:29
i'll see if i can do it whilst i'm
00:23:31
holding the camera
00:23:33
so you have to keep hold of
00:23:35
one to there like that
00:23:43
yeah see that
00:23:46
otherwise your roller rates will just
00:23:47
fall out and don't want that
00:23:50
so basically we've now cleaned up the
00:23:52
entire surface what we need to do really
00:23:54
here
00:23:55
next is the belt
00:24:05
not showing a new belt
00:24:07
now
00:24:08
some people may disagree but i don't
00:24:11
agree with this um
00:24:15
2dp nominates
00:24:18
m max belt
00:24:23
bb8 dominates uh tri-city belt
00:24:27
now basically the tri-city belt it's the
00:24:29
same belt basically
00:24:31
um e674100
00:24:37
p764100 same goal but obviously this
00:24:40
boat is
00:24:47
31 pound
00:24:49
that bell is about 25 pound
00:24:52
but generally not in stock
00:24:55
so
00:24:57
that gives you an idea
00:24:59
um but basically what we need to now do
00:25:02
is obviously remember the directional
00:25:03
arrows
00:25:04
we basically now
00:25:07
put that onto the back pulley
00:25:09
now can you see what i mean now
00:25:13
that is quite tight
00:25:16
so that goes on to there
00:25:18
i mean
00:25:20
yes you could argue all it's the same
00:25:23
but
00:25:24
if we've
00:25:25
won the rollers out i may as well
00:25:27
replace the entire belt and do
00:25:28
everything all at once
00:25:32
so basically now it's a case of
00:25:37
sliding that back onto there
00:25:40
with a knot and tightening up uh i'll
00:25:42
come back and this is on there
00:25:46
right
00:25:47
so that's now shoved on the splines now
00:25:51
we have to use a bit of that
00:25:54
onto there hello oh look who's going to
00:25:57
see us
00:25:58
cheeky robin redbest
00:26:01
um so basically what we need to do is
00:26:03
now put a bit of thread locker onto
00:26:05
there
00:26:06
so
00:26:07
obviously as i was saying earlier
00:26:10
hello
00:26:13
hello
00:26:14
you're on youtube you're famous
00:26:17
um
00:26:18
basically obviously we need to
00:26:20
put that washer onto there
00:26:22
that washer onto there
00:26:24
we're going to put a bit of thread
00:26:25
locker onto this
00:26:27
and then put the nut back on the holding
00:26:29
tool
00:26:31
i'll show you another clip
00:26:33
back on
00:26:34
and then there's a certain way we have
00:26:36
to fill that up
00:26:39
okay so
00:26:45
a bit of blue thread locker onto there
00:26:49
now this bit is crucial if you get this
00:26:52
wrong you could risk
00:26:54
taking the old nut off
00:26:57
shearing that off and causing a whole
00:26:58
world of pain if you're confident and
00:27:00
doing it i mean this is just advice
00:27:03
but
00:27:04
um if you're confident in doing diy but
00:27:06
you just need a helping hand you just
00:27:08
want to know what it looks like sort of
00:27:10
thing
00:27:11
um
00:27:12
this sort of explains it
00:27:14
so i'm going to come back just when i've
00:27:16
got this sorted
00:27:19
okay so now we're back on
00:27:22
now obviously with the variator when i
00:27:23
was the tool so for tightening it's on
00:27:26
top
00:27:27
because obviously it's clockwise
00:27:29
so you're putting the downwards pressure
00:27:32
obviously unlocking
00:27:34
underneath
00:27:37
so basically now that's fitted onto
00:27:39
there um
00:27:41
she should work now um
00:27:44
i'm going to test just test it and see
00:27:46
what's what
00:27:50
all right so you can see she's clearly
00:27:52
running now
00:27:54
this is a
00:27:56
this is an issue to be fair i've had
00:27:58
quite a while
00:28:00
obviously
00:28:02
that is doing that and that shouldn't be
00:28:04
doing that
00:28:06
um
00:28:07
[Applause]
00:28:11
it's a little bit annoying to be honest
00:28:13
um
00:28:14
i'm going to turn it off and uh
00:28:17
just check that but i mean it looks to
00:28:19
be spinning by
00:28:22
but that that's not happy
00:28:28
yeah so
00:28:31
um i'll come back to you on this one
00:28:35
right so
00:28:38
from my understanding with this new belt
00:28:40
obviously it's a new belt
00:28:42
all this is square it's just not bedding
00:28:44
whereas
00:28:48
on the old belt it's obviously all
00:28:49
thingy
00:28:50
so because obviously
00:28:53
this is like pre-warning this
00:28:54
pre-warning that's pre-warning
00:28:56
obviously that's a little bit like hey
00:28:59
i'm not
00:29:00
does that make sense so it's probably a
00:29:02
little bit
00:29:04
i mean it's better it is better
00:29:07
um i think what i'm gonna do i'm gonna
00:29:09
leave it
00:29:11
um i went around the yard a little bit
00:29:14
it seems to be fine um you can hear it a
00:29:17
little bit what was it slapping um
00:29:21
but i mean probably on your atrocity i
00:29:23
mean
00:29:24
unfortunately i've been
00:29:26
not the best luck with mine um
00:29:29
again
00:29:30
i don't know i could have a part in here
00:29:31
that's gone on my clutch that's probably
00:29:33
causing that um
00:29:36
but that seems to be fine um
00:29:38
doesn't seem to have any hesitation
00:29:40
issues like i was having
00:29:42
i mean yes i've got vibration um
00:29:45
like with any cbt at low speed
00:29:48
um
00:29:50
so
00:29:52
basically what i'm gonna do is i'm going
00:29:54
to wrap it up here because this is going
00:29:55
to be a long video for you um
00:29:58
so basically you've seen
00:30:00
how to put it how i've took it to pieces
00:30:03
it basically goes back the opposite way
00:30:06
so basically next the cover back on
00:30:10
all the little eight millis around there
00:30:12
one in the middle obviously you've
00:30:13
already put your gasket in and
00:30:15
everything um
00:30:17
variate to filter onto there
00:30:19
um
00:30:23
black cover
00:30:25
um
00:30:26
bolt your air box down
00:30:28
screw all that back up
00:30:30
um and then obviously just the reverse
00:30:33
procedure that you've seen
00:30:34
um and obviously don't forget to put
00:30:37
that into your cover as well which
00:30:39
obviously fits
00:30:41
in there okay
00:30:43
um i hope this has give you a rough idea
00:30:46
exactly how it all goes together again
00:30:49
is an easy job um if you're confident in
00:30:52
doing it doing it if you're not
00:30:53
confident don't do it um we'll say as
00:30:56
long as you've got that clutch holding
00:30:57
tall
00:30:58
magic
00:30:59
um
00:31:00
so i'm going to wrap it up here guys
00:31:01
thank you very much for watching if you
00:31:03
like my channel please consider
00:31:05
subscribing be gratefully appreciated
00:31:08
and i'll talk to you again soon okay bye
00:31:12
all right guys right uh so i'm back from
00:31:15
test ride
00:31:16
regarding
00:31:17
the bowlers
00:31:19
and the belt
00:31:21
so we've got a slight bitter slip on the
00:31:24
belt um
00:31:25
which is probably because the belt's not
00:31:27
bedding as such um
00:31:29
roller wise
00:31:31
she's actively in the variable valve
00:31:34
timing at 22 to 25 miles an hour
00:31:37
i mean i did measure the
00:31:40
weights originally um
00:31:42
and there were 10 grams and obviously
00:31:44
these were 10.5 so
00:31:47
are they lighter you know i should make
00:31:49
an engine bark or is it having to spin
00:31:51
harder to throw them up and then barking
00:31:56
you know the thing is with
00:31:59
ease
00:32:02
god there's so many bloody variables you
00:32:04
know you you try it
00:32:06
and then
00:32:08
you're like do i like it do i like it
00:32:10
i mean
00:32:12
i mean to be fair i mean on a boat in
00:32:14
the dark streets i mean there are people
00:32:16
turning around so
00:32:18
i mean she we're barking in a way where
00:32:20
you know what
00:32:22
well where else the hell is that coming
00:32:24
yeah well
00:32:25
we're pretty reasonably loud i'm not
00:32:27
gonna lie i mean bear in mind i mean
00:32:29
she's still gonna exhaust i'm not that
00:32:32
um
00:32:33
so yeah i mean
00:32:35
i've always been amazed with these max
00:32:36
engines i mean how loud would they
00:32:39
actually be because this they seem quite
00:32:42
noisy
00:32:43
um
00:32:44
i mean as i say
00:32:46
the video was mainly to show you a belt
00:32:48
change um and obviously it led to
00:32:51
a roller change and obviously there's
00:32:52
the rollers that i had available at the
00:32:54
time
00:32:55
as to whether long term i will um keep
00:32:58
her that way um i think primarily
00:33:03
it's like i was at one i don't want to
00:33:04
blow me motor so you know stressing her
00:33:07
out like that is it a good thing i mean
00:33:12
he's nice i mean to say
00:33:14
i went up the bypass
00:33:16
and sometimes where i just get towards
00:33:18
the end i'm really like just nudging
00:33:22
60 mile an hour i mean this time she
00:33:25
nudged 62 and she will she was still
00:33:28
pushing quite hard i mean i just
00:33:30
obviously have to let her off
00:33:33
so
00:33:35
i i think there's potential there um
00:33:40
it's just
00:33:42
do you rev the engine out like that all
00:33:44
the time does it make it less reliable
00:33:48
um
00:33:49
i will have to make the call on that i
00:33:52
mean at the end of the day
00:33:53
there were what i had available if i
00:33:55
have to go to yamaha and go and get some
00:33:58
fine um
00:34:00
but as i say i was i just wanted to add
00:34:02
this bit into the overall final video i
00:34:05
mean i know it's a long video i think
00:34:07
it's around nearly 40 minutes so if you
00:34:09
do stick around and watch it thank you very
00:34:11
much i do appreciate it because
00:34:13
obviously
00:34:14
i've took my time out to make it for you
00:34:17
um
00:34:18
so obviously
00:34:19
get an understanding of
00:34:21
what is behind the yamaha trial city and
00:34:23
what makes a move
00:34:24
um
00:34:25
and as i've said before
00:34:27
they are very easy bikes to work on um
00:34:30
they are easy i mean just have the right
00:34:32
tools a bit in-house about yourself
00:34:35
and your writer's reign you really are
00:34:37
you can't you can't complain with them
00:34:39
um
00:34:40
so anyway i'm going to leave it here
00:34:42
because that'll make it quite a longish
00:34:43
video
00:34:44
um again thank you very much for
00:34:48
watching my video
00:34:49
um
00:34:50
what i might do this time is turn my
00:34:52
comments on so if you've got any
00:34:54
questions
00:34:56
or
00:34:57
i'm sure no doubt
00:34:59
being youtube criticism that i've done
00:35:02
something or it's not right
00:35:04
um fire it away um
00:35:07
end of the day i am human you know i do
00:35:09
make mistakes um i'm and
00:35:12
you know i don't profess to be perfect
00:35:14
and never will be
00:35:16
um
00:35:17
but anyway i'm going off topic um thank
00:35:20

00:35:22
