00:00:00
hello there everyone today I want to
00:00:02
show you how to make this easy wire work
00:00:04
bracelet it looks like
00:00:07
this so I've just chosen to work with
00:00:09
these materials so some blue gemstone
00:00:11
beads and then the copper wire but it's
00:00:14
quite an easy technique but you get a
00:00:16
really nice effect to it almost a bit
00:00:19
Egyptian like I think and then you can
00:00:21
just make your own clasp as well so if
00:00:23
you want to learn how to make this then
00:00:25
stay tuned so these are the things that
00:00:27
I'm going to be using now the wire that
00:00:30
going to be using at these two gauges
00:00:32
they're both regular round wire the
00:00:34
first one here is a 1 mm gauge and
00:00:37
that's going to be kind of the core of
00:00:38
the bracelet and then this is A4 mm
00:00:41
gauge and that's what we're going to be
00:00:43
kind of doing the wrapping you can see
00:00:45
all the embellishment with now as for
00:00:47
the beads you can really use many
00:00:48
different sizes and shapes I'm just
00:00:50
using rounds in this case and I've got
00:00:52
two different sizes just cuz I thought
00:00:54
it'd be nice with kind of a graduated
00:00:56
look to it the smaller ones here the're
00:00:58
6 mm round gemstones and they're blue
00:01:01
coated hematite and then as for the
00:01:03
larger ones here they are 8 mm rounds
00:01:06
and these are blue coated Agate and you
00:01:08
can always choose whatever you want and
00:01:11
then we'll also just need a few of our
00:01:12
basic pliers so let's get all the
00:01:14
materials together and then let's get
00:01:17
started so the wire that we need is this
00:01:20
now first off I'll cut a length of my 1
00:01:23
mil wire here and this needs to be about
00:01:25
50 cm long it's just enough to go around
00:01:28
your wrist really and then a bit extra
00:01:29
to make the clasp as well and then the
00:01:31
other wires that I'm using is the4 MIL
00:01:33
wire here and I've just cut four lengths
00:01:36
of this of about 90 CM each and that's
00:01:40
what we're going to do the embellishment
00:01:41
with so these are the wires that we need
00:01:42
to
00:01:43
cut so the first thing that I'm going to
00:01:45
do is get my 1 mil wire out so the
00:01:48
length of that that we already cut off
00:01:50
and I'm just going to work on one end
00:01:51
first cuz I'm just going to make the
00:01:53
first part of my clasp we might as well
00:01:55
make that now before then start
00:01:57
embellishing the bracelet so to do this
00:02:00
like I said I'm working on the one end
00:02:01
here you just want to make sure that
00:02:03
your piece away is as straight as
00:02:05
possible and then I'm going to get my
00:02:07
chain nose
00:02:08
players and then just go down maybe
00:02:12
about 10 cm or so it's really up to you
00:02:14
how large you want this to be in this
00:02:17
case I'm making the hook end here to
00:02:19
begin with and then I'm just going to
00:02:20
make the loop at the other end when we
00:02:22
get there but you place your pliers and
00:02:25
your wire bend it back and you want to
00:02:29
keep
00:02:30
going until it runs down the side of
00:02:33
itself basically so like this and then
00:02:37
we need to make this a little bit
00:02:42
tighter like
00:02:44
that just gradually put your pliers here
00:02:47
right at the end where the bend is and
00:02:50
just gently and gradually push it
00:02:52
together so it gets Tighter and
00:02:55
Tighter so just take your time doing
00:02:58
this be gentle about it so you don't end
00:03:02
up bending it out of shape and just make
00:03:05
sure that both of them coming straight
00:03:06
down here and just do it until you're
00:03:09
happy it's as tight as you want it to
00:03:14
be so something a bit like
00:03:19
this and then what I'm going to
00:03:21
do is we need to then secure this so
00:03:25
just make sure they're line straight
00:03:26
next to each other like that and then
00:03:28
come down
00:03:30
however far down what you need to make
00:03:32
sure is what the length that you have on
00:03:33
the other side here is what's going to
00:03:35
make the hook part um and this is going
00:03:38
to be folded back around so you want to
00:03:42
kind of make it twice the length that
00:03:43
you want it to be when it's done so I'm
00:03:45
going to have it about here and then I'm
00:03:47
going to use the Shar tail that we bent
00:03:52
down to then go I'm just going to bend
00:03:54
it off first like this cuz then I'm
00:03:56
going to use this to then wrap around
00:03:59
the other
00:04:00
wire and just do this
00:04:04
gently as you can see these two kind of
00:04:06
want to separate if you just take your
00:04:09
time and do it
00:04:13
gently and try and make sure to hold
00:04:15
them
00:04:18
together so just bend it around kind of
00:04:21
like if you were to make if you were
00:04:22
making a wrapped Loop or
00:04:27
something and then go around a few few
00:04:29
times here and just try and get your
00:04:33
wraps here as nice and even as
00:04:37
possible and you can always keep
00:04:39
adjusting making sure this doesn't go
00:04:41
too much out of
00:04:43
shape I've gone around twice which is
00:04:46
fine it's going to hold by this you can
00:04:48
go around a few more times if you want
00:04:49
to but I'm going to leave it at this and
00:04:52
then instead of just cutting this off
00:04:53
what I'm going to do is actually use
00:04:55
this a bit as embellishment now you can
00:04:58
leave it and do this at the end or you
00:05:01
can just go in and do it now cuz
00:05:02
obviously it might be a little bit in
00:05:03
the way so for that what I'm going to do
00:05:06
is get out my round nose pliers here and
00:05:10
then go in at the very end you can cut
00:05:13
it down a little bit which actually I
00:05:15
think I'm just going to make it a little
00:05:16
bit
00:05:17
shorter just like
00:05:21
that and then just go in with round nose
00:05:24
pliers right at the end of that wire and
00:05:27
also towards the end of my pliers what I
00:05:29
like to do just to get it as tight as
00:05:31
possible and I'm just going to go in and
00:05:34
start bending it to basically start
00:05:37
making a
00:05:40
spiral so you get a bit of a circle to
00:05:43
begin with like
00:05:44
this and just keep going
00:05:50
in and then you can change to your chain
00:05:53
nose
00:05:54
pliers to make sure that it stays nice
00:05:57
and
00:05:58
flat and use them to go in the rest of
00:06:02
the
00:06:07
way and then obviously it's sticking out
00:06:10
now what I'm going to do is just
00:06:12
literally just bend it up into
00:06:17
place and then just kind of squeeze a
00:06:20
little bit so make sure that it lies
00:06:22
nice and flat and that's just a nice way
00:06:25
to finish off the ends of your wire and
00:06:28
also add a bit of embellishment to it so
00:06:31
that is the hook P now we haven't shaped
00:06:33
it into the hook yet but I'm actually
00:06:35
going to just wait till that till the
00:06:36
end just so it doesn't there's less
00:06:39
chance of it getting caught while we're
00:06:41
working with it then cuz we're just
00:06:42
going to be able to go in and do that at
00:06:43
the very end so once you're happy with
00:06:46
that we're now ready to start the main
00:06:49
part of the bracelet and adding our
00:06:50
beads into it so what I'm going to do
00:06:52
first is get the other wires attached to
00:06:54
this so this is all the4 mil wires here
00:07:00
so what I'm going to do is keep them all
00:07:02
together make sure they're all kind of
00:07:04
roughly at the same length so if you
00:07:06
need to just adjust that do that and
00:07:09
then I'm going to keep hold roughly the
00:07:11
middle and bring the ends together to
00:07:13
find the middle of my wires here just do
00:07:17
it gently and then here is where roughly
00:07:19
the middle is in my wires I'm going to
00:07:21
keep hold of that and then this is where
00:07:23
I'm going to attach them to the bracelet
00:07:26
or to the wire here and I'm just going
00:07:29
to
00:07:30
put it around the back here of the wire
00:07:35
and then we just need to go around a
00:07:37
couple of
00:07:38
times to make sure that it stays
00:07:40
attached basically so just take one side
00:07:42
at a time working with all four lengths
00:07:44
at the same time CU that's what we're
00:07:46
going to be doing
00:07:47
throughout go
00:07:49
around to come back out the same side so
00:07:53
it's basically wrapping all the way
00:07:54
around that base
00:07:56
wire and now if you want to you can do
00:07:58
it one more time SL with the other side
00:08:01
just so it's nice and a bit more
00:08:04
secure just like that and then just
00:08:07
press it down as far as it'll
00:08:10
go to kind of make sure you don't have
00:08:13
too much bulk there so that's now this
00:08:15
wire attached so what we can do now is
00:08:18
start adding the beads in so what I'm
00:08:22
going to do is add one bead at a time
00:08:24
just cuz I feel it gives a little bit
00:08:25
more control and less risk of them
00:08:27
falling off cuz the other end is still
00:08:29
open up obviously otherwise you'll have
00:08:31
to put them on and then just secure the
00:08:32
other end so they don't come off while
00:08:34
you're working with it that's completely
00:08:35
up to you you can also add all of them I
00:08:38
just personally feel you have a bit more
00:08:39
control if you just add one at a time
00:08:41
and I've just started out with one of my
00:08:43
6 mm beads here just cuz I'm graduate
00:08:45
I'm going to graduate from smaller and
00:08:47
then to the large ones in the middle and
00:08:48
then back to smaller again so this is
00:08:51
where we're at I've just added one
00:08:53
bead and then I'm just going to start
00:08:56
what I'm going to do is always start
00:08:57
with my right side you can you can also
00:08:59
do the opposite that's fine but then I'm
00:09:01
going to it's coming from the back here
00:09:04
and then I'm going to go around the side
00:09:05
of my
00:09:06
bead and what I'm going to make sure the
00:09:09
only thing I try to make sure is that
00:09:10
the wires are kind of lying flat next
00:09:13
against each
00:09:14
other when you come
00:09:16
around and then come around to the top
00:09:18
of the bead on the
00:09:21
up so instead of coming from the back
00:09:23
you're now on top of the wire while
00:09:26
you're going around the side of the
00:09:27
bead so like that come back around to
00:09:32
the same side
00:09:34
again so it looks like this and you can
00:09:37
always just push it down a little bit
00:09:39
with your fingers and don't worry too
00:09:41
much about this the base wire moving
00:09:44
around cuz you can always adjust that at
00:09:47
the end so that's the one side the other
00:09:50
side going to do the same thing make
00:09:52
sure the wires are somewhat flat here
00:09:54
come around the side of the
00:09:56
bead to the top of both the bead and the
00:09:59
wire and then back around the back
00:10:04
again so just like that it's going to
00:10:07
look like this and again just you can
00:10:09
adjust your wires press them down the
00:10:12
side of the bead a little bit if you
00:10:13
want
00:10:14
to so that's now the first one
00:10:17
attached so now we need to add the next
00:10:20
bead and then you add that next bead to
00:10:23
your wire and what you can Al always do
00:10:25
every time I kind of add a bead I just
00:10:27
before I wrap that I use that bead to
00:10:29
just gently push down a little bit on
00:10:31
the section that I've already
00:10:32
done so like that but then we repeat the
00:10:36
exact same thing I'm going to start from
00:10:38
my right side again is what I'm going to
00:10:41
do throughout it's just to get a nice
00:10:42
and even look to it so again they're
00:10:44
coming from underneath your wire take it
00:10:48
around the side of your
00:10:50
bead and to the top of the bead and on
00:10:53
top of the
00:10:54
wire all four wires at the same time
00:10:57
just try and make sure that they're
00:10:59
lying kind of next to each other rather
00:11:01
than crossing over too much and around
00:11:03
the back again and then that's coming
00:11:06
back up to the same side and then we do
00:11:09
the other side just kind of smooth them
00:11:11
out first also so you don't have any
00:11:13
kinks in them you'll be able to see that
00:11:17
around the side of the bead to the top
00:11:20
of the bead and the wire and back to the
00:11:22
other
00:11:23
side so just like
00:11:25
that and now they're back in that
00:11:28
position from coming underneath your
00:11:31
wire and you can always just gently push
00:11:33
them together a little bit and there you
00:11:35
have your next bead attached and you
00:11:37
just continue like this throughout now
00:11:39
if you're just using the same side
00:11:40
continue doing this like I said I'm
00:11:42
going to graduate my beads so at some
00:11:43
point I'm going to use the bigger ones
00:11:45
instead but that's just a design choice
00:11:47
so you just keep doing this until your
00:11:49
bracelet is almost large
00:11:51
enough so I've now kept going here and I
00:11:54
reached the length that I want my
00:11:56
bracelet to be so I had my larger ones
00:11:58
here in the the middle and then what we
00:12:00
need to do is I've just got the last one
00:12:02
to do but what I'm going to do is
00:12:04
obviously we need to finish off the
00:12:05
lengths of these weaving wires as well
00:12:07
so what I'm going to do instead of just
00:12:09
going around like this with both sides
00:12:12
just like we've done throughout I'm
00:12:14
going to kind of take one side around a
00:12:16
little bit just to see where the wires
00:12:18
lie and then what I'm going to do first
00:12:21
is grab the very top one so now we're
00:12:24
taking one wire at a time so just grab
00:12:28
one at a time the top One to begin with
00:12:30
bring that around on its
00:12:32
own and then just go around that base
00:12:35
wire a couple of times underneath the
00:12:37
other ones
00:12:39
here and just make sure to press it down
00:12:42
towards the
00:12:44
bead just like this and I'm going to
00:12:48
finish it at the
00:12:49
front and then I grab the next
00:12:53
one so we'll still keep that same look
00:12:56
to it and pattern by just doing them in
00:12:59
order like this we're just doing this to
00:13:01
be able to finish off the
00:13:07
wires make sure to push him
00:13:10
down and then finish it at the
00:13:14
front and the reason that I'm finishing
00:13:16
it at the front is cuz you don't want
00:13:18
the ends to be sticking at the back here
00:13:20
and then rubbing against your
00:13:22
skin and then grab the next one do the
00:13:24
same
00:13:27
thing go around like
00:13:32
this so securing them completely in
00:13:39
place just use your nails and not to
00:13:42
press them down so they line nice and
00:13:44
close and the last
00:13:47
one stra at the top and go around like
00:13:51
this just the
00:13:53
same so that's the one side so as you
00:13:57
can see it still has the same look to it
00:14:00
but we're managing to finishing to
00:14:01
finish off all these wires by wrapping
00:14:03
them around individually a couple of
00:14:05
times and that's the way we want to do
00:14:08
that so then what I'm going to do so
00:14:10
obviously they're still there the rest
00:14:13
of them attached so I'm going to grab my
00:14:15
wire cutters here and then just take one
00:14:19
at a time go in and cut off right by on
00:14:22
the upper side here so the front of the
00:14:24
bracelet and cut them off
00:14:29
so they're really short so they're only
00:14:31
basically as close as you can get so
00:14:34
what you'll find is you'll just have
00:14:36
when you feel it a little bit sticking
00:14:38
out there and then get your chain those
00:14:41
pies and then just kind of press them in
00:14:43
and what I like to do is go in a little
00:14:45
bit from the side and then
00:14:47
roll with the direction the wire is
00:14:50
going in so you're kind of rolling them
00:14:52
into
00:14:53
place that way they're going to be
00:14:55
hidden in between the actual ends are
00:14:58
going to lie here hidden in between all
00:15:00
the wires so it won't really be sticking
00:15:02
out so just like that so just keep doing
00:15:05
that until you can't feel them at all
00:15:07
cuz that means they won't catch on
00:15:09
anything so that's the one side so now
00:15:13
we need to do the other side and we're
00:15:14
basically going to be doing the same
00:15:16
thing so take your wires in one go as if
00:15:20
you were going to do another one like
00:15:21
the bracelet and then once you kind of
00:15:23
have it in position then go in and just
00:15:26
take the top one bring that over first
00:15:29
so down to one wire at a
00:15:32
time and just go across like you would
00:15:35
have
00:15:36
done if we're actually doing the same
00:15:40
wrap as throughout the
00:15:43
bracelet just wrapping it across like
00:15:45
this let it go out to the other
00:15:49
side take the very next one same thing
00:15:53
so we're just repeating the exact same
00:15:54
step as the other side we're just kind
00:15:57
of wrapping these on top of them
00:16:00
just to make
00:16:01
it blend in with the rest of the
00:16:03
bracelet the pattern that we have on
00:16:06
there the next
00:16:13
one wrap in a couple of times with each
00:16:16
one so they're going to stay in place
00:16:19
there and the last
00:16:27
one there we go just like this and again
00:16:30
you can just squeeze them down make sure
00:16:32
you don't have any gaps so then now are
00:16:35
they kind of they look like the other
00:16:37
ones did before they're just coming up
00:16:39
to the opposite side so the same
00:16:41
principle again take your Cutters and
00:16:44
then go
00:16:45
in and cut off the excess here on the
00:16:49
top the front side of the
00:16:56
bracelet so like that once you've done
00:16:59
that you'll have the same again have
00:17:02
little ends sticking out you'll be able
00:17:05
to feel them and then you just want to
00:17:06
get your chain no pliers and press them
00:17:10
down same principle I like to kind of
00:17:12
roll in the direction that the wire is
00:17:14
going that's really going to make them
00:17:17
squeeze them in there in between
00:17:19
everything so like that that's then
00:17:22
these wires finished off and you have
00:17:24
basically the main part of your bracelet
00:17:26
done now and that end all there's left
00:17:28
to do now is do the other part of the
00:17:31
clasp on this end and in that case we
00:17:34
did the hook down here so we need to do
00:17:36
the loop up here so to do that first
00:17:40
thing we just need to make sure that the
00:17:43
wire running through the bracelet is
00:17:44
sitting how we want it to sit so that
00:17:46
means go back to your hook end and just
00:17:48
make sure that what you want to be
00:17:49
pointing to the front is on the front
00:17:52
side the P that on your bracet that you
00:17:54
want to be the front as well so it's
00:17:56
going to sit correctly like this
00:18:00
because you then want to make sure you
00:18:01
put the bend in in the right
00:18:03
way so just to make sure it sits right
00:18:06
and then go to the other
00:18:07
end and then I'm going to get my chain
00:18:10
nose pliers and on this end this is the
00:18:13
front part so what I'm going to do is
00:18:14
kind of put it to the
00:18:17
side and then here I'm going to go just
00:18:21
a little bit above a couple of millim
00:18:23
above where my weaving wires end so I
00:18:25
have a bit of space
00:18:27
there and then bend it
00:18:30
back so you have a bit of an angle like
00:18:32
that and then what I'm going to do is
00:18:35
get my six-step B making pliers now you
00:18:37
can use anything for this really you can
00:18:39
use a pen or something else just
00:18:40
something that has a size and shape the
00:18:42
loop that you want so I'm just going to
00:18:45
use this just going to use the biggest
00:18:47
one I think so place it on top here it's
00:18:50
just like doing a wrapped Loop basically
00:18:53
on top of that bend have your wire come
00:18:55
back around
00:18:59
all the way replace your
00:19:02
pliers all the way back again so that
00:19:05
when you look at it like this you have a
00:19:08
circle so that's basically going to be a
00:19:10
loop and then to secure that in place we
00:19:13
need to do a wrap Loop so I'm going to
00:19:16
grab my chain no pies again and I like
00:19:18
to place them on top of my Loop like
00:19:20
this and really grab onto it nicely so
00:19:23
the loop itself doesn't move so it's not
00:19:26
going to kind of lose its shape when
00:19:28
we're doing this wrap and then just take
00:19:30
the long tail and start wrapping around
00:19:34
below that
00:19:35
Loop because that's where we're going to
00:19:38
how we're doing the wrap Loop
00:19:41
basically so just a couple of times
00:19:44
until you feel it's nice and secure make
00:19:47
sure they're as tight as possible you
00:19:48
can always go in with your chain nose
00:19:51
pliers if you feel like the wrap is a
00:19:53
little
00:19:54
bit loose and just kind of press it in
00:19:58
but remember if you have if You' gone
00:20:00
over the point where you have your
00:20:01
weaving wires that kind of feels out
00:20:04
there's only so much you can press it so
00:20:06
just like this just a couple of times
00:20:09
and I'm going to have it come at the
00:20:11
front again and the way I'm going to
00:20:13
finish this off it's basically just like
00:20:15
the other side I want to do a little
00:20:18
swirl so instead of just cutting it down
00:20:20
just add a bit of embellishment it's
00:20:22
also a bit of a more secure way of
00:20:23
finishing it off it's going to be less
00:20:26
likely to catch on things so cut your
00:20:28
wire down how long you cut it is going
00:20:31
to then help determine the size of your
00:20:33
swirl
00:20:35
here grab some round nose
00:20:38
pliers place them at the very end of
00:20:40
your wire and I like to just get as
00:20:43
tight as swir as possible so I go right
00:20:46
at the end of my pliers as well and
00:20:49
start bending that back I'm just going
00:20:52
to cut off the very
00:20:54
beginning once I've made the loop cuz it
00:20:57
just makes it a bit more like a circle
00:20:59
shape and go back in and keep
00:21:04
swirling all the way
00:21:09
down and now whether you like quite a
00:21:11
tight spiral or a loose one is
00:21:14
completely up to you I like it to be
00:21:16
quite tight and then you might you'll
00:21:19
get to a point where you're going to
00:21:20
have to use your flat nose or chain nose
00:21:22
pliers to then help the spiral along so
00:21:25
grab onto the
00:21:27
spiral and then
00:21:29
continue that
00:21:32
way all the way
00:21:37
in and then as you're moving in the
00:21:40
spiral is going to end up being
00:21:43
placed on
00:21:45
top of some of your other wires here and
00:21:48
you can kind of place it where you want
00:21:50
really it's really good as well to then
00:21:52
hide something or hide some of the ends
00:21:54
cuz like I said the weaving wires are
00:21:57
cut off at the front so by placing the
00:21:59
spiral on top it protects them as well
00:22:02
so that's how you finish off that
00:22:04
basically that's now the loop done we
00:22:06
can go back to the other end and all
00:22:09
there's left to do is just shape the
00:22:11
hook so it's actually going to be a hook
00:22:14
so just take your round nose pliers or
00:22:16
your bail making pliers I'm going to use
00:22:19
these and then just choose what
00:22:20
direction you want your hook to go
00:22:23
in so I go down just a little bit below
00:22:26
halfway like that then I'm going to take
00:22:29
the top of it here and bend it
00:22:31
back on
00:22:35
itself so you get that kind of hook
00:22:39
shape and the final touch I'm just going
00:22:40
to do is down here right at the tip of
00:22:43
it I'm going to just put a bit of a bend
00:22:45
in that outward again so it looks just
00:22:49
like
00:22:50
that so that's how I like to do my hooks
00:22:53
cuz then it's going to slot in nicely in
00:22:55
the loop and the last thing to do is and
00:22:58
actually shape the bracelet you can also
00:23:00
just do any final adjustments before you
00:23:02
do that if some of it need to be a
00:23:04
little bit straightened up just do that
00:23:06
otherwise just start kind of gently
00:23:09
bending your bracelet here if you have
00:23:13
something that has the size and the
00:23:14
shape you want it to be you can just use
00:23:17
that to bend it around otherwise just
00:23:19
gently go all the way around gentle
00:23:23
bends so not go one place and do a Big
00:23:26
Bend you want to gently go back and
00:23:28
forth
00:23:29
clo to make sure you get an even curve
00:23:33
to the
00:23:34
piece and do the loop and the hook as
00:23:40
well and then once you get
00:23:43
there the loop goes into the hook like
00:23:47
this and then there you have your
00:23:49
finished
00:23:52
bracelet it's completely ready to wear
00:23:56
now so that's how you make this white
00:23:58
fir work
00:23:59
bracelet quite easy and simple the
00:24:01
technique wise but gives you a nice
00:24:04
effect with how you putting the wires
00:24:07
across there so this is how you make it
00:24:10
so I really hope that you Eno enjoyed
00:24:12
this tutorial and thank you very much
00:24:14
for
00:24:16
watching hello there everyone today I
00:24:19
want to show you how to make this
00:24:20
wirework bracelet made from a simple
00:24:22
three strand braid adding
00:24:25
beads and this is what it looks like
00:24:31
so this is the effect you
00:24:33
get and this is using rund Del bead but
00:24:37
you can use other kinds as well other
00:24:40
shapes and then you have the
00:24:43
clasp so if you want to learn how to
00:24:45
make this
