00:00:03
in and started talking about trading
00:00:04
again on mt4 and I knew a little bit
00:00:07
about it so I kind of acted as if I did
00:00:10
and I was telling him well yeah this is
00:00:12
a bullish candle this is a bearish
00:00:14
candle eventually I kind of got hooked
00:00:16
on it and I started trading like most of
00:00:18
you are doing now and
00:00:21
I stuck to it for about six months or so
00:00:24
but that Journey when trading was just
00:00:28
up and down up and down up and down and
00:00:30
I realized that I didn't have enough
00:00:31
grit in the game I wasn't really that
00:00:33
determined as well I was married at the
00:00:36
time had a young family and had a lot of
00:00:40
responsibilities
00:00:41
um going on in my life
00:00:42
so I let it go and I got into network
00:00:44
marketing
00:00:45
and that kind of went well for me and
00:00:47
I'm pretty well there working
00:00:49
um for a supplement company it was
00:00:52
pretty new at the time and you know I
00:00:55
put in the work and I made some dope
00:00:57
anyway long story short guys
00:01:00
eventually
00:01:01
my marriage started to deteriorate
00:01:04
um
00:01:05
and I didn't really have much going on
00:01:08
in my life like from a very young age
00:01:10
I'd left home at 17 got married when I
00:01:13
was 18. had my first child when I was
00:01:15
19. out of four
00:01:18
the the whole sole purpose of my life
00:01:21
was to really stand up and be the man of
00:01:25
the family the head of the house you
00:01:27
know the guy that provides
00:01:30
but at the time I didn't know who I was
00:01:31
I didn't know what my purpose was I
00:01:33
didn't have an opportunity to really
00:01:35
figure who I was
00:01:37
or figure out who I was and that's only
00:01:40
came from the fact that I was raised in
00:01:42
a single pair of you know at home the
00:01:45
memories five children I was the oldest
00:01:47
and um yeah was tough man my mum
00:01:51
unfortunately suffered from mental
00:01:52
health illnesses and other addictions
00:01:55
and was tough
00:01:58
so I thought I'd take the leap
00:02:00
wouldn't say of Faith but at the time it
00:02:02
was the leap of faith um to move out
00:02:05
getting married early
00:02:06
and it just didn't work out
00:02:08
Anyway by the time I came back home you
00:02:11
know I got back into drinking
00:02:13
smoking
00:02:15
partying girls whatever else and
00:02:18
I can tell you now it was
00:02:21
looking back at it it was fun but it was
00:02:23
the worst part of my life
00:02:25
simply because
00:02:27
I knew that that wasn't my purpose my
00:02:30
purpose what was it that I didn't know
00:02:32
but at the time I knew it was higher or
00:02:35
had to be higher than what I was doing
00:02:37
because there was no fulfillment from it
00:02:40
long story short guys
00:02:43
I eventually started going through
00:02:44
divorce and that came with it as
00:02:46
turmoils I um unfortunately had a really
00:02:49
bad divorce I ended up losing access to
00:02:52
my daughter had to fight in court to get
00:02:54
access to her again
00:02:56
my mom was still sick and severely sick
00:02:59
attempting suicide multiple times
00:03:01
getting phone calls left right and
00:03:03
Center
00:03:04
to say look you know we can't get
00:03:07
through to Mum
00:03:08
we have to check on her and go down to
00:03:11
the house and kick off the door and see
00:03:12
a line on the floor
00:03:14
then
00:03:16
she turning against me for helping her
00:03:18
because she was embarrassed to kicking
00:03:20
out the house you know having to sleep
00:03:22
in my car
00:03:25
having to use a toilet in the park you
00:03:28
know
00:03:29
just going through a lot having a lot of
00:03:32
debt on my shoulders from being young
00:03:34
and making silly mistakes
00:03:35
to the point where
00:03:37
you know
00:03:39
I I I needed to change my life
00:03:42
and I chose Trading
00:03:44
and I remember clearly the day I was
00:03:45
coming home from work
00:03:47
and my wife now
00:03:50
he's my queen man I love her to death so
00:03:52
I want to say thank you for everything
00:03:53
if you ever listened to this but
00:03:56
I was coming home from work and
00:03:59
she messaged me
00:04:01
and she said what you're gonna do when
00:04:02
you go home no one's Young
00:04:05
I was young I was I mean I wasn't young
00:04:07
but I was I was fresh like starting my
00:04:10
life again you know coming from a
00:04:12
marriage
00:04:13
really trying to find my own path and
00:04:17
I was like I'm gonna go home and I'm
00:04:18
gonna start trading at work I'd hope to
00:04:21
trade
00:04:22
initially I was going home to play Call
00:04:24
of Duty but I was like I can't tell her
00:04:26
that because that's not what I want to
00:04:29
do but I just couldn't find the reasons
00:04:32
to do something different
00:04:34
and she messaged me back
00:04:36
and she said to me do you know what that
00:04:39
is something that really turns me on
00:04:41
about you
00:04:43
I was like what it was like you're so
00:04:45
motivated and you're so driven
00:04:48
and that was a changing point in my life
00:04:50
that moment when I realized that someone
00:04:53
believed in me
00:04:55
I didn't have a dad there because he had
00:04:57
committed suicide when I was five
00:05:00
I had a mom and she looked after us and
00:05:02
cared for us but she couldn't kiss and
00:05:03
cut the loss she didn't have that
00:05:05
emotional connection with us she
00:05:07
provided but
00:05:08
and I'm grateful for it but she didn't
00:05:11
really believe in us either in the sense
00:05:13
of she didn't want us to pursue more
00:05:16
than she was just happy with us being
00:05:18
content which I I completely understand
00:05:19
where her children at the end of the day
00:05:21
right so she just wants us to to be
00:05:24
content and happy and be at peace but
00:05:26
when my wife messaged me that my wife
00:05:28
now messaged me that
00:05:33
there was a light bulb man it like the
00:05:35
switch flipped and I was like do you
00:05:37
know what
00:05:38
this is my time
00:05:39
this is my time
00:05:42
and I remember sitting down in my room
00:05:43
in my mum's house I decided that I was
00:05:46
going to commit to this and that was
00:05:48
seven years ago almost eight years ago
00:05:49
now
00:05:51
and jumping on the charts doing all the
00:05:53
support resistance break me test you you
00:05:56
name it the whole shebang
00:05:59
and every single day I committed to
00:06:04
change and during that commitment of change
00:06:06
guys I want to tell you something it
00:06:08
wasn't easy it wasn't the end of a
00:06:10
divorce it wasn't the end of a court
00:06:12
case battling for my daughter it wasn't
00:06:13
the end of my mum being sick throughout
00:06:16
this whole process I had to face so much
00:06:18
in terms of finances court cases my mum
00:06:21
being ill my own personal demons and
00:06:23
Baton battles my own addictions that I
00:06:26
still hadn't kicked yet you know I'm
00:06:29
still trying to figure out my sense of
00:06:30
purpose
00:06:31
and
00:06:33
it was tough
00:06:36
but what I remember now up until this
00:06:38
point where you believe me or not
00:06:41
all I remember
00:06:43
is saying to myself it's time to commit
00:06:47
and I was doing this because I knew
00:06:51
that my life
00:06:53
had a better meaning
00:06:55
not the meaning or the stories that I
00:06:58
was originally telling myself not the
00:07:00
that had happened in my life or was
00:07:02
happening in my life the fact that I
00:07:04
didn't have a dad and I had a mum that
00:07:06
was sick and and at times abusive and
00:07:10
and aggressive and constantly disowning
00:07:13
me and and calling the police and
00:07:15
kicking me out the house or just trying
00:07:17
to help her or intervening in arguments
00:07:19
that she may have with my siblings
00:07:23
and
00:07:25
to me it was like I can hold on to this
00:07:29
or I push through this
00:07:31
and I'm going to tell you something I
00:07:32
committed to pushing through that
00:07:35
and for the first year of that
00:07:36
commitment guys
00:07:38
that is when the biggest change happened
00:07:41
the biggest changed
00:07:43
because initially
00:07:45
when you start your Journeys or you're
00:07:47
on your on your or you're already on
00:07:49
your Journeys
00:07:51
everything you do from day one has to be
00:07:54
intentional until it becomes a part of
00:07:55
your identity and who you are
00:07:58
so there were times that I woke up in
00:08:00
the morning I didn't want to do
00:08:01
there were times when I came back from
00:08:03
work and I didn't want to do
00:08:05
there were times where I would be doing
00:08:08
so much I just wanted to give up because
00:08:11
I wasn't getting the results
00:08:14
but it's at that point you've got to say
00:08:16
to yourself
00:08:17
we've got to continue to pursue this
00:08:19
and there's kind of stages to learning
00:08:21
right you you you study something you
00:08:24
learn something and you understand
00:08:25
nothing
00:08:28
but if you're serious about growth you
00:08:30
study it again and guess what happens
00:08:32
you learn something new
00:08:35
you don't learn everything you don't
00:08:37
that's everything but you study again
00:08:38
and then it starts to become clearer and
00:08:40
then you study again and it's like the
00:08:41
penny drops and that was my journey
00:08:44
for the first year every single day
00:08:49
and to me there was no failing there was
00:08:52
no quitting didn't matter if I felt like
00:08:54
quitting there was no quit
00:08:57
then it got worse my mum got even even
00:08:59
sicker
00:09:01
ended up in hospital
00:09:03
when I visited her I was like mum it's
00:09:05
time to change life around let's do this
00:09:07
and she's like yes let's go
00:09:09
I remember that day so clearly I said to
00:09:11
her mum listen she couldn't talk much
00:09:14
for some reason I couldn't understand
00:09:15
why but I said mum
00:09:17
my wife needs your egg curry recipe my
00:09:20
mum's guy needs from Guyana I said my
00:09:23
wife needs your egg curry recipe I
00:09:25
remember her clearly trying to give me
00:09:26
this recipe but she just couldn't recall
00:09:28
this recipe couldn't record this recipe
00:09:30
but she was doing her best and she was
00:09:32
staying strong and she was religious as
00:09:34
well and even though she was so weak she
00:09:36
still prayed before her food and you
00:09:39
know we've seen her in this position
00:09:40
before and it was like you're gonna come
00:09:42
out of this month you'll be fine
00:09:45
I left came back the next day and as I
00:09:47
walked through the hospital door there's
00:09:49
like 10 doctors and Consultants standing
00:09:51
around her she's breathing really heavy
00:09:53
snoring and I'm just like what's going
00:09:55
on
00:09:56
they said your mom's super ill she's
00:09:59
going into organ failure
00:10:02
I said what's the chances of her coming
00:10:03
out and they said very low
00:10:07
now this is a year into
00:10:10
a year or two I'd say a year and a half
00:10:12
into me going full-time trading now
00:10:17
and
00:10:19
I wasn't even thinking about that at the
00:10:20
time
00:10:22
but at that moment it was almost like
00:10:25
I'd gone from
00:10:27
sleeping in a van where my younger
00:10:30
brother came out of my mom's house parties found
00:10:33
down the End of the Street
00:10:34
made a bed in the back and told me to
00:10:36
sleep there and because there was so
00:10:38
much lights coming into the van he went
00:10:41
opened up the electric box on the street
00:10:43
and turned off the electric
00:10:46
I went from there to full-time trading
00:10:49
in a space of a year year and a half
00:10:52
to then
00:10:53
standing next to my mom
00:10:56
on her deathbed
00:11:00
and it was almost like
00:11:02
this can't be true because everything
00:11:04
that was bad was getting better
00:11:07
but the minute everything got better
00:11:10
it just
00:11:12
it it just got worse
00:11:17
anyway long story short she passed away
00:11:19
a week later
00:11:21
but I'm gonna tell you something guys
00:11:24
I think of her passing
00:11:28
it kind of transitioned my life into
00:11:32
a trajectory a direction that I never
00:11:36
knew was possible
00:11:38
the power
00:11:39
the strength the grit and determination
00:11:42
that I had at that point in time
00:11:45
the purpose that I once thought I had
00:11:49
wasn't really what I thought it was
00:11:51
comparable to what it had became become
00:11:56
and at that moment in time nothing
00:11:59
was more important
00:12:01
than me taking control of my life
00:12:04
the responsibilities that were in my
00:12:06
life
00:12:07
and becoming the best version of myself
00:12:10
to walk in the footsteps of my mother
00:12:13
and one thing that I've learned
00:12:15
on my journey guys
00:12:18
is that your adversities
00:12:21
determine your level of success
00:12:27
and even after my mum passed away
00:12:30
it wasn't the end because I still had
00:12:32
more things to go through and I want to
00:12:34
be honest with you I'm not telling you
00:12:35
this for self-pity
00:12:37
I'm telling you this because I know so
00:12:39
much many of you are going through
00:12:44
but one of the key indicators for you
00:12:48
kind of as fuel
00:12:51
as wood to your fire
00:12:53
kind of had like the food to your belly
00:12:57
the more pain or the level of pain that
00:13:01
you go through is going to determine
00:13:02
your success
00:13:05
and sometimes the not sometimes the more
00:13:09
intentionally you put yourself through
00:13:12
that pain
00:13:13
the more you will succeed
00:13:17
and you say oh you know I have all these
00:13:19
problems I have children and I don't
00:13:21
have time but that's adversity being a
00:13:24
parent is a big responsibility I have
00:13:26
work well that's adversity you have
00:13:29
distractions and limited time you're in
00:13:31
a relationship and a marriage that's
00:13:33
adversity because you've got to care for
00:13:36
them emotionally physically mentally and
00:13:38
spiritually
00:13:40
but what I'm telling you now
00:13:42
is that that is a fine opportunity for
00:13:45
you to start rising and Shining
00:13:47
in those categories in those areas guys
00:13:51
because I'm telling you something
00:13:53
if things start to just fall on your lap
00:13:55
and start happening for you you're never
00:13:58
ever going to get to a place where you
00:14:01
feel that you deserved it
00:14:05
so those adversities that you're going
00:14:07
through those situations you're going
00:14:09
through
00:14:10
are going to be key indicators to you to
00:14:12
say to you guess what
00:14:15
you're doing all right
00:14:17
you're doing okay
00:14:19
because I can promise you guys I promise
00:14:22
you that
00:14:25
the quicker and easier it is to achieve
00:14:28
something
00:14:30
the quicker and ease the quicker and
00:14:34
easier that it is to achieve something
00:14:36
the quicker you will lose it
00:14:40
because
00:14:41
you might say to me what rocks this this
00:14:43
makes no sense to me it's all right for
00:14:45
you to say this but I'm telling you once
00:14:47
you have your house
00:14:48
once you have your cars
00:14:50
once you have your family
00:14:52
once you have your security
00:14:54
once you have money
00:14:57
you have to ask yourself what comes next
00:15:04
because right now guys your focus is
00:15:08
let's become successful let's make money
00:15:10
let's do this let's do that and then
00:15:13
when it doesn't happen you're
00:15:14
disappointed
00:15:16
instead of saying to yourself do you
00:15:18
know what
00:15:19
this is what I'm going through
00:15:22
this is what I'm suffering with
00:15:24
instead of it affecting my life and
00:15:27
desperately trying to make me get to
00:15:29
where I need to get to or desperately
00:15:30
trying to force my way to I need to get
00:15:32
to
00:15:33
let me take a moment to really soak this
00:15:37
in let me take a moment to really reflect
00:15:40
on what my life looks like
00:15:42
let me take this moment to say to myself
00:15:44
that if I don't get my together
00:15:46
then nothing's going to change
00:15:49
and use that as your fuel
00:15:55
because you think it's easy when your
00:15:57
mum passes away your dad commit suicide
00:15:58
your divorce goes through and you
00:16:00
finally get access to your daughter you
00:16:01
think changes
00:16:03
it doesn't because the battle isn't
00:16:06
those things
00:16:08
the battle is the internal battle
00:16:12
what's happening up here
00:16:15
and I'm telling you now if you
00:16:17
intentionally put yourself
00:16:20
through the discomfort
00:16:23
what will start to happen guys is that
00:16:25
inner peace that you will gain
00:16:28
will be far
00:16:30
Superior
00:16:31
to any penny you can make
00:16:36
and that naturally is going to leak into
00:16:38
your trading leak into every aspect of
00:16:40
your life and absolutely change
00:16:43
everything about how you do everything
00:16:47
how can you give a hundred percent to
00:16:50
anything
00:16:52
if you can't give a hundred percent
00:16:53
yourself
00:16:57
and nothing's going to change for you if
00:16:59
you don't get your together and get
00:17:00
it done doesn't matter what you're going
00:17:02
through
00:17:04
and one thing that I was thinking about
00:17:07
before I record this is your values
00:17:11
determine who you are to others
00:17:16
and if you're not living your life based
00:17:20
on your values and your purpose
00:17:23
then how are you ever going to give your
00:17:26
all
00:17:28
to others
00:17:30
if only half of you are Shining
00:17:37
you ain't going to get the answers to
00:17:38
your questions if you're sitting in
00:17:40
Comfort
00:17:41
you ain't going to get the answers to
00:17:42
your questions if you're still eating
00:17:44
takeaways every single day
00:17:46
you ain't gonna get your answers if
00:17:48
you're still indulging in alcohol and
00:17:50
whatever you're doing
00:17:53
you ain't gonna get your answers if
00:17:56
you're running away from your problems
00:17:57
and partying every weekend
00:17:59
you're not going to get your answers by
00:18:00
winning trades and trying to pass the
00:18:02
challenge of verifications if you
00:18:03
haven't dealt with your demons
00:18:08
this part you've got to figure out
00:18:11
there's this little voice in your head
00:18:13
always talking yeah yeah yeah yeah
00:18:16
and you choose to listen to it
00:18:19
because it's easier
00:18:22
telling you why you need to do something
00:18:24
why you should be doing this why you
00:18:26
should be doing that
00:18:27
it should no longer become a matter of I
00:18:31
want to do it
00:18:32
has to become a matter of it needs to be
00:18:35
done
00:18:38
because if you don't achieve that inner
00:18:41
peace guys I can promise you you are not
00:18:44
going to sleep well you're not going to
00:18:45
wake up well your intimacy is going to
00:18:48
be below average
00:18:50
that chicken that you cooked last night
00:18:52
and today and tomorrow whenever it may
00:18:54
be is just going to taste average
00:19:01
water can taste like wine when you're at
00:19:04
peace but water tastes like when
00:19:07
you're living like
00:19:12
and these are the things you've got to
00:19:14
start thinking about everyone's settling
00:19:16
everyone's in their comfort zone
00:19:18
and I hate to use the word comfort zone
00:19:20
it ain't your comfort zone
00:19:23
don't let these gurus make you think
00:19:25
it's your comfort zone it's called your
00:19:26
familiar Zone you need to change your
00:19:29
familiarity
00:19:31
well they say familiarity breeds
00:19:33
contempt
00:19:36
you do that to yourself
00:19:38
shift up
00:19:41
or rocks but how do I get out my comfort
00:19:44
zone
00:19:47
300 burpees
00:19:50
I can't do friendship burpees but there
00:19:52
you go out your comfort zone 100
00:19:53
push-ups can't do 100 push-ups there you
00:19:56
go out your comfort zone cold showers I
00:19:59
don't like cold showers at your comfort
00:20:01
zone
00:20:02
wake up at 5 30. I can't wake up at 5 30
00:20:05
because I go to bed too late comfort
00:20:07
zone
00:20:08
get out your comfort zone
00:20:13
you need to change your routines you
00:20:15
need to change your habits if you want
00:20:17
to get to a place where you are going to
00:20:19
become successful and I'm not talking
00:20:21
just money I'm talking spiritually I'm
00:20:24
talking mentally and emotionally I'm
00:20:26
talking physically
00:20:29
and as I said guys
00:20:32
your level of pain will determine your
00:20:34
success the more pain you go through the
00:20:36
more successful you're going to become
00:20:39
for me I've been through a lot but I I
00:20:42
don't look back and think of poor me I'm
00:20:44
actually happy I went through everything
00:20:46
that I went through
00:20:49
I'm happy I went through everything that
00:20:52
I went through
00:20:55
that everybody wants to make that change
00:20:57
or everybody's saying that I'm too
00:20:59
scared to stop step out of my comfort
00:21:01
zone
00:21:02
but contrary to the fact that you're
00:21:05
scared to stay where you are
00:21:08
when I say choose your heart
00:21:11
I'm telling you to choose your country
00:21:14
beliefs or contrary beliefs are you too
00:21:18
scared to step out of your comfort zone
00:21:19
or you're too scared to stay where you
00:21:21
are
00:21:22
that is something you've got to be
00:21:24
thinking about
00:21:26
because Beyond everything that you're
00:21:28
going through
00:21:29
Beyond everything that you've gone
00:21:31
through and Beyond everything that you
00:21:32
will go through
00:21:33
if you don't build your kingdom
00:21:37
then no one's going to build it for you
00:21:41
now if you ask me why I'm at in terms of
00:21:43
my journey on a scale of one to ten
00:21:48
four that's my honest answer
00:21:51
you know why that excites me
00:21:53
because there's so much more scope for
00:21:56
growth and if I could become a Solid 5
00:21:58
or a solid six
00:22:02
this game
00:22:04
where you on that scale of one to ten
00:22:07
how much do you value yourself
00:22:09
how much do you know your purpose
00:22:11
what are you choosing to believe
00:22:14
that you choosing to stay scared and
00:22:16
stuck where you are
00:22:18
or scared to get out your comfort zone
00:22:19
and get done
00:22:22
because your adversity is going to be a
00:22:24
key indicator to what your success is
00:22:27
going to look like in three months six
00:22:29
months and 12 months from now
00:22:32
gotta get your together guys go
00:22:34
make it happen
