As you know, the inner walls of the pyramids are painted with frescoes and other images of the finest work. But how did they do it? The researchers drew attention to another feature: many Egyptian jewelry is covered with a thin layer of gold. But this is possible only by electroplating, and this requires electricity. Egyptologist Arne Eggebrecht found a bronze statuette of Osiris covered with a thin layer of gold in one of the tombs of the pharaohs. Experts have established the age of the statuette-about 2.5 thousand years. But if it is made using electrolysis, then the Egyptians had some devices that allow them to use this technology. Is this possible? The answer came soon enough. In one of the cultural layers, clay vessels of unknown purpose were found. Inside the vessels were copper cylinders with iron rods sealed in them. The cylinders were clearly corroded by acid, and they were held together by an alloy of tin and zinc. Most of all, it looked like simple electric batteries. But how can this assumption be verified? The researchers poured a solution of copper sulfate into the vessels and ... received a current. However, it is small, only 0.6 volts. Eggebrecht connected a dozen of these clay jugs (as you connect ordinary batteries), immersed a copy of the Osiris figurine in a bath of gold salt solution, and connected the resulting power source to the bath. Now we just had to wait. So what? A few hours later, the statuette was covered with an even layer of gold! Thus the hypothesis that the ancient Egyptians were familiar with electricity was brilliantly proved. I must say that many ancient authors mentioned in their writings some unquenchable lamps. So, Plutarch also told about similar lamps in Egyptian temples. According to the ancient Greek satirist Lucian, the same source of light was in the temple of Hera in Herapolis, and even in the manuscripts of St. Augustine, it is said about the non-extinguished lamp in the temple of ISIS (Egypt). Why is unquenchable? This light was constantly burning, and neither wind nor water could extinguish it. Similar paintings were described by Pliny the Elder, Paracelsus, and other ancient authors. In 1550, an ancient tomb was discovered on the island of Nesida (Bay of Naples). Eyewitnesses were shocked by the inexplicable spectacle. Bright light from the lamp streamed out of the doorway. Had the lamp been burning all this time? Some ancient Egyptian images show how electricity was obtained in those distant times. But this only opened the veil of secrecy.
