This video explains the battery replacement process on a Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush. The process is relatively easy and requires a soldering iron. It can be completed in less than 15 minutes. First we need to remove the electronic components from the housing. We do this by firmly pressing the top end of the toothbrush against a hard(!) surface. Eventually the bottom end of the housing will open up and release the electronics. At the bottom end we will find the battery (in green). It is soldered onto the PCB, which means we will have to now remove the solder joints. Afterwards we can remove the old battery from the plastic cradle, in which it is sitting in. Insert the new battery in the same way, making sure to inset it in the correct orientation. (There really is only one way that it will fit) Solder the pins back onto the PCB and reinsert the electronics into the housing.
