00:55:15
second secretary of the Brazilian College

00:55:40
Good evening, everyone, on behalf of Dr Cibele
00:55:42
Carvalho, president of
00:55:44
Brazilian College of
00:55:45
Radiology, I feel very honored to

00:56:04
to host this event of
00:56:07
yours, I would like to congratulate the

Immortals, each one of you from this academy,
00:56:14
on behalf of the abit of the Brazilian Association
00:56:17
of Technology of
00:56:18
Radiology technologists, represented by Senor
00:56:21
Ezequiel Nubian Lucas Pereira, its
00:56:23
president,
00:56:26
also by his
00:56:27
vice-president Senora Luciene Maria do
00:56:30
do Prado and also the president of the
00:56:33
creation committee of the
00:56:34
Brazilian Academy of radiological sciences
00:56:36
Senor Rodrigo Modesto Gadelha Gontijo and
00:56:39
all the members here, each one of you
00:56:40
who will be inducted into this academy, my
00:56:43
sincere and effusive greetings
00:56:46
on this opportunity I cannot help but
00:56:48
comment a word about the event that
00:56:50
hosts this ceremony, the third edition
00:56:52
of Conrad, whose theme is the Radiology of the
00:56:56
Future and artificial intelligence, this
00:56:58
is very timely in today's times and
00:57:00
has a unique dialogue with the very
00:57:03
reason for being today also from the
00:57:05
Brazilian College of
00:57:07
Radiology, its other events are
00:57:10
adjacent, right, the focus is Rad
00:57:14
military radiology, a nerad and the outstanding award for
00:57:18
Radiology Brasiliense, which is very much
00:57:19
Once again, I am honored to see
00:57:22
the Brazilian Academy of radiological sciences taking place here in our city.
00:57:26
of the promotion of
00:57:28
scientific patients, like ho, the proposal would be
00:57:31
to promote the dissemination and valorization of
00:57:33
activities that contribute to the
00:57:35
development and stimulation of
00:57:36
scientific and technological philosophical knowledge
00:57:39
of
00:57:40
radiology, and it also proposes a
00:57:44
permanent memory that also speaks
00:57:46
to 75 years of age this year.
00:57:49
Brazilian College of Radiology, so
00:57:52
with this focus on preserving the history
00:57:54
and collection of each one of you in what
00:57:57
you represent here as a
00:58:00
representative of the CBR, it is also very
00:58:02
opportune to remember the services that are
00:58:04
provided to Brazilian Radiology by
00:58:06
both ours and ours and
00:58:10
associations, right, brothers and the importance
00:58:13
of this associative work at this moment
00:58:15
in the maturity of the technologist's activity,
00:58:18
fighting for the rights of the category on
00:58:20
behalf of the entity is to represent the
00:58:25
as it is of National importance, also
00:58:29
understanding the need for this
00:58:30
institutional positioning in the face of
00:58:33
other professional threats that are always
00:58:35
imposed and also in the sense of defending
00:58:37
the duties specific to the profession, I
00:58:40
see with great enthusiasm the serenity and
00:58:42
the maturity and partnership of the technologists of
00:58:45
this activity that today you
00:58:49
celebrate with so much joy and of the
00:58:51
Brazilian College of Radiology itself, being
00:58:54
above all of us all peers at
00:58:56
work and in patient care
00:58:58
what governs us and what guides us in
00:59:00
building a practice scenario with
00:59:02
increasingly competent protagonism,
00:59:05
fully incorporating
00:59:07
disruptive sustainable technologies Why not and
00:59:11
that prepares us for a new
00:59:13
moment in this specialty with which
00:59:15
we share as protagonists and
00:59:18
Drivers of this new moment
00:59:21
Immortals, gentlemen, your notorious
00:59:24
knowledge of your ethics, your commitment to
00:59:26
science that undeniably each of
00:59:28
you carries and the dedication that I know that
00:59:31
each of you has expressed in the
00:59:33
satisfaction of each one of the
00:59:35
family members present here with great
00:59:37
pride, thank you very much for the invitation
00:59:39
and congratulations again to each and every one of you
00:59:45
[Applause]
00:59:52
you will hear next the
00:59:54
speech of Dr Ricardo da Silva
00:59:57
Teixeira Viana National focal point of the
00:59:59
technical management of
01:00:01
radiological and nuclear biological chemicals of the Coordination
01:00:04
General Surveillance of
01:00:06
Public Health Emergencies of the Secretariat of
01:00:08
Health and Environmental Surveillance of the
01:00:09
Ministry of
01:00:23
Health
01:00:25
go up a little here, how different is the height?
01:00:36
Maira, where she
01:00:38
is, thanked everyone for their presence and
01:00:43
congratulated the professionals
01:00:45
present here, who are part of this Noble
01:00:49
career, and as the Ministry of
01:00:52
Health, I want to thank the
01:00:55
Brazilian Academy of
01:00:57
Radiological Sciences for the invitation and take advantage of the moment
01:01:00
to raise an issue that sometimes It's
01:01:02
a little forgotten But it's still
01:01:05
important, entering the venue,
01:01:09
passing through the corridors, I was able to
01:01:11
look at the presentations of the
01:01:13
congressmen there on the banners and from 30 to
01:01:16
40 banners I noticed three in which
01:01:20
they talked a little about the topic I'm going to
01:01:21
I'm talking to you about
01:01:23
public health emergencies,
01:01:25
right? The technologist or the
01:01:30
radiology technician is a very broad career. It's
01:01:33
a career that has several
01:01:36
features, but the
01:01:38
public health emergency part is sometimes
01:01:40
a little forgotten, so as I said,
01:01:43
taking a look there on the banners I
01:01:44
noticed a work talking about the
01:01:48
inspection part, one talking about the
01:01:50
S 137 Goiânia accident and one talking about the
01:01:54
waste disposal part, points
01:01:57
that are crucial and important at
01:01:59
least for our department as
01:02:01
Ministry of Health Ministry of Health
01:02:03
He works with Radiology in the most
01:02:06
diverse secretariats, right? We, the Ministry
01:02:09
of Health today has six secretariats. I
01:02:11
am part of the Secretariat of Surveillance,
01:02:12
Health and Environment, in which
01:02:15
my management of events
01:02:17
related to
01:02:20
radiological and nuclear biological chemical elements is included, and that is why
01:02:23
I believe that I
01:02:24
received the invitation because of the
01:02:26
radiological elements, our
01:02:28
department has a
01:02:31
special characteristic and a
01:02:33
strategic characteristic within the
01:02:35
Ministry of Health because, as I told
01:02:36
you, it is a department focused
01:02:38
on public health emergencies since
01:02:41
its inception. preparation where we work
01:02:43
with courses we work with simulations with
01:02:46
guidelines technical notes
01:02:49
contingency plans the surveillance part where
01:02:52
we have networks throughout Brazil is
01:02:55
focused on identifying
01:02:58
these public health emergency events at the beginning
01:02:59
so that we can give a
01:03:01
response appropriate to the moment that
01:03:03
we deal with that emergency, right, and the
01:03:06
response part that we manage is to
01:03:08
structure, coordinate, expand and
01:03:11
activate hundreds of
01:03:13
Emergency operations that are often
01:03:15
collaborative with other various
01:03:17
institutions Ministries and where I want to
01:03:19
get to, I want to get precisely to
01:03:22
part of biological events and accidents,
01:03:24
which are the gentlemen present here,
01:03:28
who will often avoid them
01:03:31
due to their professionalism, their
01:03:33
expertise, their techniques, due to everything
01:03:36
you have been working on since
01:03:37
graduation until now, and if you are
01:03:40
unable to avoid them for some reason, will be
01:03:43
able to somehow mitigate this
01:03:45
casualty of this event
01:03:48
in a way that does not impact
01:03:49
our population so much, so it is with immense
01:03:53
gratitude that I am present here,
01:03:55
this topic of radiology for us,
01:03:58
Ministry of Health, is very broad
01:04:01
today, I I bring to you this part of the
01:04:03
public health emergency and remembering
01:04:05
that today the Ministry of Health gains
01:04:08
much more from making gifts than
01:04:10
you gain from the ministry's presence
01:04:12
here, so I always ask
01:04:15
that when you are in
01:04:17
your routine activity whatever it is, whether it be
01:04:19
in a clinic, in a hospital, in an office, in
01:04:21
an industry or even in a
01:04:24
nuclear power plant, you remember these
01:04:26
words and remember that the ministry has
01:04:29
a department focused on
01:04:30
public health emergencies and
01:04:33
especially on
01:04:35
technological disasters and radiological accidents,
01:04:37
so Again I want to thank the
01:04:39
Brazilian Academy of
01:04:40
Radiology for this opportunity and
01:04:42
congratulate everyone present here
01:04:45
[Applause]
01:04:53
thank you,
01:04:57
we registered in time the presence of Senor
01:04:59
Thiago Padre deputy treasurer director
01:05:02
of
01:05:08
apter the Brazilian Academy of
01:05:11
radiological sciences It will be composed of
01:05:13
academics by eight academics
01:05:15
founders, these are the ones who accompany the
01:05:18
academy's creation committee and 41
01:05:21
senior academics distributed in
01:05:24
alphabetical order, totaling 49
01:05:27
chairs for the inauguration ceremony, which
01:05:30
can be expanded in due course.
01:05:37
through the
01:05:40
appointment of a patron or a patroness
01:05:43
for each chair, thus honoring the
01:05:46
most important names in the history of
01:05:53
radiological sciences Dear Lucian Maria
01:05:55
do Prado, vice-president of the
01:05:57
Brazilian Association of radiology technologists,
01:06:00
who will award diplomas and

02:08:31
Good evening to all,
02:08:36
dear
02:08:38
authorities, Today is a special day for
02:08:41
Radiology, it is a
02:08:44
historic day and with We are very proud to
02:08:46
inaugurate the Brazilian Academy of
02:08:50
Radiological Sciences, therefore, the
02:08:53
scientific entity of a national nature that was
02:08:55
missing for professionals in
02:08:58
radiological techniques in our
02:09:00
country is born. A great advance for our
02:09:03
profession and a gain for our
02:09:05
society, which can now count on the
02:09:08
help of this entity in the training of
02:09:11
professionals who are better prepared and
02:09:14
committed to the best application of
02:09:16
radiological techniques
02:09:20
in the short period of time that I was
02:09:22
given the talk, I would like to share
02:09:26
with my
02:09:28
people The Immortals of the academy
02:09:31
And to speak about giving an
02:09:35
immortal is not just more of an honor to
02:09:39
everyone here to deserve it, I would say that it is
02:09:43
much more than that, the academy
02:09:45
certainly expects from each one of us
02:09:48
the incessant fight for the growth of the
02:09:51
profession until the last day of our
02:09:54
lives and when this ends,
02:09:59
our legacy serves as an example and
02:10:01
inspiration for the future generations of
02:10:04
new
02:10:06
professionals, that's why we are
02:10:10
Immortals and it's a lot of
02:10:13
responsibility when each one of us
02:10:15
returns to our origins
02:10:19
we need to think about how to put
02:10:22
our mission into practice. Radiology
02:10:25
will really need our services and
02:10:28
may God illuminate our
02:10:31
steps speaking on behalf of the Immortals,
02:10:33
I want to thank the Brazilian Association
02:10:35
of radiology technologists, abt for the
02:10:39
great initiative and also thank the
02:10:42
other professional entities for all the
02:10:45
work carried out in the development of the
02:10:47
profession,
02:10:49
especially the National Council of
02:10:51
radiology technicians, the
02:10:53
regional councils in their
02:10:56
states, to
02:10:59
class unions across the country, to
02:11:04
regional associations, but I want to say that the entire
02:11:08
society deserves this
02:11:12
scientific development that now has a
02:11:15
greater person responsible, which is the Brazilian Academy of
02:11:19
Radiological Sciences, hopes
02:11:22
for valorization and fair
02:11:25
recognition are reborn. of the
02:11:28

02:12:44

02:12:47

02:12:50
words with all those present who
02:12:52
now grant me the satisfaction of the company
02:12:56
and the honor of attending this
02:13:00
inauguration ceremony based on the
02:13:03
Renaissance philosopher Michel Mon, who
02:13:06
defined it as such, words belong half to
02:13:10
those who speak half to those who listen to the
02:13:14
Brazilian Academy of radiological sciences
02:13:16
abcr feels to the Brazilian Association of
02:13:19
radiology technologists
02:13:21
abit inspired by existing national and
02:13:24
international models Aims, through
02:13:28
its components, to promote encourage
02:13:33
and value activities that contribute
02:13:35
to the development and stimulation of
02:13:39
humanized scientific philosophical knowledge
02:13:42
and technology of
02:13:45
radiology investing in the position
02:13:48
of President at the invitation of bit, we look forward to
02:13:52
starting this academy through
02:13:57
professional academic consecration, I accepted the invitation as yet another
02:14:01
new and symbolic challenge from
02:14:04
an institution that will
02:14:08
represent and tell the story of scientific
02:14:12
and professional life, considering the prestige
02:14:16
academic that more than one of us
02:14:19
would do better than me, however, now
02:14:24
I thank them for their choice and tell them that I
02:14:28
strive hard to live up to the
02:14:30
trust and expectations placed in
02:14:33
me in our context, higher education courses in
02:14:38
Radiology Technology emerged as
02:14:41
one of the main responses of the
02:14:44
Educational sector to the specific needs and demands
02:14:48
of the industrial productive sector
02:14:50
of Brazilian society and
02:14:53
has been present in Brazil since the
02:14:56
1960s higher technological courses the
02:15:00
main difference of
02:15:02
technological courses is to prepare decent people for the
02:15:05
job market by offering
02:15:07
subjects and teaching activities
02:15:09
focused on
02:15:11
specific knowledge and practical classes
02:15:13
training you for professional activity,
02:15:17
although higher technological training has been
02:15:20
a reality in Brazil since the
02:15:22
1960s, higher education
02:15:24
in radiology technology has expanded
02:15:27
greatly in the years since the 1990s
02:15:30
according to the Emec portal of January
02:15:33
2023 in the 2000s there were five
02:15:37
higher education courses in technology and in
02:15:39
radiology currently there are 23 courses
02:15:42
in activity, nine in institutions
02:15:46
with public administration and 204
02:15:49
institutions with private administration
02:15:51
Emec January
02:15:54
2023 there is no need to explain this
02:15:57
Union much of the abcr institution implemented
02:16:00
by a quartet of professional
02:16:03
teachers operated by
02:16:05
another quartet of professional
02:16:07
teachers and completed by another 41
02:16:11
members, the academy was born as Alma Nova,
02:16:15
naturally
02:16:16
ambitious, it wishes to preserve
02:16:19
the
02:16:22
academic unity of radiological sciences within the political-scientific Federation, such
02:16:25
work requires no only public understanding
02:16:29
but still and mainly Constancy
02:16:32
and progress, according to the semantics
02:16:35
of the word radiolog
02:16:38
radiology, the prefix radios comes from
02:16:41
Latin and means
02:16:46
Rays related to radiation, and the
02:16:49
original suffix or root Logos from
02:16:52
Greek means study, science or
02:16:54
knowledge Therefore, in view of the above
02:16:57
and for those who know me, I reaffirm that there is no
02:16:59
doubt about our performance and presence in the
02:17:02
different areas in which
02:17:04
wiring is applied, to conclude, paraphrasing
02:17:08
Machado de Assis, transmitting to our
02:17:11
peers and successors the initial thought and
02:17:14
desire for May
02:17:17
they transmit them to their own and our
02:17:20
story be told among the solid and
02:17:22
brilliant images produced in our
02:17:25
Brazilian professional life. I thank you
02:17:28
all, let us continue the
02:17:31
[Applause]
02:17:41
session, we will hear next the
02:17:44
speech from Nubian Senor Ezequiel
02:17:46
Lucas Pereira, President of the Association
02:17:49
Brazilian technologists in
02:17:53
[Applause]
02:18:12
radiology good afternoon, good evening, ladies
02:18:14

02:18:56

02:19:01
our friends who are here with us
02:19:04
who have stayed until now in this heat,
02:19:06
supporting us, hey, I was joking,
02:19:10
it looked like a wedding, right, the bride
02:19:12
never arrived, but here there were more people than one
02:19:14
bride to get ready, but we managed to
02:19:16
get here, okay, it's always like that, it's with
02:19:19
a lot of struggle but that's how we
02:19:21
achieve our victories so it's
02:19:24
a huge satisfaction to be here tonight
02:19:27
with you here with us but I want to
02:19:30
first thank God for this
02:19:33
journey that brought me here to
02:19:35
my family my parents my
02:19:38
sisters Hey man It's just my mother-in-law who is
02:19:40
here, my dear wife and my
02:19:44
daughter who is here who is the reason for
02:19:47
my life and say the following,
02:19:51
my mother, my father can't be here,
02:19:52
try my mother because she had a
02:19:54
reason for the delay. little bit about the togas
02:19:56
is that my mother and my sister
02:19:58
made all these
02:20:00
togas and embroidered them by hand and they were
02:20:02
working until now they deserved a Salma
02:20:05
de
02:20:08
Palmas I'm sure they're
02:20:11
happy gentlemen tonight it's already been
02:20:15
said I'm not going to elaborate but it is a
02:20:18
historic moment for our category
02:20:20
we are here marking territory
02:20:23
saying the time has come for
02:20:26
professionals in radiological techniques,
02:20:29
especially
02:20:31
radiology technologists, to be presented to
02:20:34
society in the way they deserve, here I
02:20:38
am here looking at my colleagues and I
02:20:41
see it on the face of each a gleam in the eye
02:20:44
saying I'm this far it wasn't easy
02:20:47
many left many things behind but they're
02:20:49
here it's a lot of renunciation it's a lot of work
02:20:52
but they're here
02:20:54
hard they left loved ones who
02:20:57
I'm sure would like to be
02:20:59
here I'm sure they got this far there
02:21:02
's a lot people who helped There are
02:21:05
a lot of people who stayed there in your state and
02:21:09
now it's an inverse moment for us to
02:21:11
applaud So much for those who are here
02:21:13
with us from Brasília and those who
02:21:15
stayed they deserve A round of applause
02:21:17
for supporting us so
02:21:21
far they deserve it without they we
02:21:24
wouldn't be
02:21:26
here
02:21:27
[Music]
02:21:29
thank you they deserve it even from PES they
02:21:31
applauded because the path really
02:21:34
isn't easy I wanted to say the following
02:21:36
30 years of
02:21:39
technology and radiology courses in the country have already been commented on and I'm
02:21:42
sure there is a project that has been going on for almost
02:21:44
20
02:21:46
I think this is an
02:21:49
important step
02:21:51
that we are taking for society to
02:21:54
really show those who work
02:21:58
hard that they have dedicated themselves their entire lives.
02:22:03
chair
02:22:05
01 but it is merely protocol passage
02:22:09
in the Bible that says that the first
02:22:11
will be the last I am your servant
02:22:14
there are people here like you feel the essence of
02:22:17
Professor Almir that I studied in
02:22:20
college in almost all of his books
02:22:23
I want to say I am mentioning it because
02:22:25
it is It's an honor, I feel here today with
02:22:28
a mission accomplished in my
02:22:31
professional life. This was a
02:22:33
mission to
02:22:37
pay homage to these true warriors.
02:22:40
I feel very
02:22:43
honored and especially to have
02:22:46

02:22:55
for
02:22:57

02:23:04
challenge it was not easy to bring together and
02:23:07
the entire committee team, thank you very much, I
02:23:09
won't go
02:23:11
on and on but I want to leave a
02:23:14
message here Mário Quintana when he passed away
02:23:18
before he passed away he said at my
02:23:21
grave I want you to write I am not
02:23:26
here and I leave this message for you
02:23:30
that on our tomb it is written I
02:23:33

02:23:35
am I am in every student I
02:23:38
taught I am in every article I
02:23:42
published I am in every book I I
02:23:44
