In this video, we'll discuss the types of barcode scanners, the different types of barcodes, 1D and 2D barcode symbologies, using your cell phone as a barcode reader, creating a product table with a barcode field, creating a form to scan a barcode and look up a product. At first, it would be nice to be able to just scan a product and have the details appear on the screen while I'm talking to a customer, but eventually I'd like to be able to tie it in to my order entry system.
