This week I can present to You the full Drive & Sound test with the latest 2014/2015 Renault Megane RS "Trophy" delivering 275 hp and 360 Nm of torque through the front wheels and a conventional 6-speed manual transmission (weight: 1.380 kg). Driving this car is really something special as the setup immediately tells you that this one is made for the race track! The cup suspension is "very sporty", the engine sound is raw (Akrapovic exhaust), and the transmission allows very quick gear changes. Inside you have awesome Recaro bucket seats and a typical alcantara feature to many elements, really stepping up with the quality compared to a regular Megane. This particular car features the same engine and exhaust system as the mighty Tophy-R which laped the Nürburgring Nordschleife as one of the fastest FWD cars. The major thing that distinguishes these two cars is the missing rear seats and air-con of the Trophy-R, wheighing 100 kg less than this particular car. Performance wise this RS goes quite decent up to 180 km/h, after that it starts loosing ground compared to a Cupra or Astra OPC.
