Базаров - одновременно очень привлекательный и в то же время отталкивающий характер. В нем есть и грубость, и некоторая пошловатость, при этом обаяние большого ума и незаурядной личности. Мне очень повезло с учительницей литературы в школе, она не забивала нам голову всякой идеалогической ерундой - нигилист он или нет, мы разбирали именно его сложный характер. В какие-то моменты он вызывает симпатию, в какие-то - раздражение и неприязнь, а в смерти он так вообще очень трогателен. Мы с Александром Адабашьяном очень бережно относимся к этому тексту.
