Bassa, muscolare nelle linee ma comunque filante nel suo sviluppo puramente orizzontale, con lo scarico alto e la coppia di terminali a cannone a metterci il punto esclamativo! Al centro del progetto c'è Il Revolution Max, V-Twin della svolta che ha debuttato sulla maxi-enduro Pan America, si è cucito addosso esigenze e peculiarità della nuova Sportster aggiungendo una T alla sua nomenclatura. Il V-Twin di 60° raffreddato a liquido con valvole a fasatura variabile, distribuzione bialbero a 4 valvole per cilindro non rinuncia alla cura maniacale per i dettagli, e infatti vanta due contralberi per annullare le vibrazioni, uno nel basamento e uno nella testa anteriore, coperchi delle teste e carter in magnesio, ma applica anche soluzioni ad hoc: i profili dell'albero a camme e la fasatura delle valvole sono pensati specificatamente per il modello: i pistoni hanno sagomatura diversa, le testate hanno valvole più piccole.
