Have you heard of vitamin H? You might know it as biotin. Biotin acts as a cofactor for certain enzymes, especially for the hair and skin. Biotin deficiency symptoms: • Hair loss (alopecia) • Thinning hair • Brittle nails  • Skin rash  • Loss of hair color  • Mild depression  • Muscle pain  • Extreme tiredness  It’s important to know what could be causing a biotin deficiency. It’s probably not from a lack of biotin in your diet, because biotin is in a lot of different foods. Raw eggs also have a certain chemical that blocks biotin absorption.
