«НЕ УМИРАЙ!..» (музыка Ionel Tudor, обработка Джордж Харрисон, русский текст Игорь Наджиев) и «СМУГЛЯНКА» (музыка Анатолий Новиков, стихи Яков Шведов) – это уникальная, архивная запись трансляции румынского телевидения легендарного Международного музыкального фестиваля «Золотой Олень» (Golden Stag Festival) в г. Брашов в 1997 году. Вместе с Юлией Началовой я представлял Россию на этом престижном, музыкальном форуме. Но моё участие и моё выступление, тогда, дались мне особенно трудно, потому что я прилетел в Румынию на фестиваль, сразу по возвращении из Астрахани, после 9-ти дней со Дня смерти моей Мамы… Первую песню под названием «Voice from above», которая изначально являлась Посвящением в Память о Фредди Меркьюри, я должен был исполнять на английском языке. Но я, фактически, поставил ультиматум организаторам фестиваля – что представляя Россию, я хочу и буду петь только на русском языке, так как считаю, что русский язык имеет полное право звучать на любом международном песенном форуме! И я сам напишу русский текст на предложенную мне для исполнения композицию. Слава Богу, что меня тогда услышали и со мной согласились. Так появилась в моём репертуаре песня «Не умирай!..» Но самым трагичным и тяжёлым для меня тогда стало то, что я первым дал послушать по телефону свою версию этой песни Маме, незадолго до Её Ухода в Вечную Жизнь… И теперь, песня «Не умирай!..» – для меня навсегда стала Реквием о Ней!.. Сегодня ТВОЙ ДЕНЬ, МАМА! День Рождения и День смерти… СПАСИБО ТЕБЕ ЗА ВСЁ и ПРОСТИ меня... ТЫ — ВСЕГДА в моём сердце!.. ТВОИМИ МОЛИТВАМИ НА НЕБЕСАХ — я ЖИВУ!
