Description:
Last year my Coworker showed me a photo of a bobcat and her two cubs walking across the road that goes up to my work. I was blown away!!! Then, in July of 2021, after a bunch of tall grass was cut on the hill where my work is, turkey vultures started flying low to the freshly cut growth to catch mice who had grown accustomed to the tall grass. At about 7:00am I saw the bobcat in the grass. I pinched myself for not having my camera. To my delight, the next day, I spotted the bobcat again! between several 20 minute breaks I managed to snap photos and get footage of the cat hunting mice. I think this must be the same cat who was nursing cubs the previous year. It was a really special encounter that I will never forget. I'm so lucky to have seen this magical unicorn of an animal. Unfortunatly I had $40 300mm zoom lens that was manual focus only, so the footage isn't the best, but I'm pretty proud of the footage here. I hope someone finds this footage cool or educational! It was shot near Blanton Ridge Trail head in Eugene, OR.
