Всё верно, это новый 911, но он сильно отличается от своих собратьев, виденных нами ранее. Это вариация 992 Carrera 4S с поднятой подвеской с прицелом на ралли, а не гонки по треку! Так что же интересного в 911 Dakar? Начнём с дизайна: у этого 911 множество особенностей, которые призваны помочь при езде по пересечённой местности. Защитные пластины из нержавейки спереди, сбоку и позади, а также стальная защита воздухозаборников спереди. Также уникальный фиксированный задний спойлер, чёрные пластиковые расширители колёсных арок, а также капот из усиленного карбона от 911 GT3. Естественно, хватает и других модификаций: подвеску подняли на 50 мм (с возможностью поднять её ещё на 30мм) и обули машину в специальные внедорожные шины Pirelli Scorpion. Также появились новые режимы езды, такие как "бездорожье", "ралли" и особый лонч-контроль "ралли". Салон выглядит вполне характерно для Porsche, но хватает и изменений. Самое заметное? Избавились от задних сидений и поставили вместо них каркас безопасности! Спереди теперь ковшеобразные сиденья из карбона, а в салоне повсюду символика 911 Dakar. Интересно? Что ж, надо поторопиться!
