to connect your security cameras tp-link
00:00:04
radios have you covered these radios are
00:00:07
extremely easy to pair and in this video
00:00:09
I'm going to show you how to do it I'll
00:00:11
walk you through the process of pairing
00:00:12
the access point in clients for both
00:00:14
point to point or point to multi-point
00:00:17
wireless connections as you can see
00:00:19
there's a wide assortment of tp-link
00:00:22
radios to choose from today we'll be
00:00:24
setting up the Pharaoh CPE 510s but the
00:00:27
process we'll be going over can be used
00:00:29
to pair all the radios you see here hey
00:00:31
guys it's Matt from Nellie's security
00:00:33
here before I show you how easy and
00:00:35
straightforward the setup process is
00:00:37
let's go over these radios real quick
00:00:39
for a point-to-point connection you will
00:00:41
need two radios one radio will be our
00:00:44
access point our AP for short and the
00:00:47
other radio will be our client the AP
00:00:49
will act as a transmitter and will be
00:00:51
the device that is directly connected to
00:00:53
our local network the client will act as
00:00:55
our receiver and will establish a
00:00:57
wireless connection from the AP for a
00:00:59
point-to-point connection only one AP
00:01:02
and one client is required but for a
00:01:05
point to multi-point connection you will
00:01:07
need one AP and multiple clients one
00:01:10
thing to note is that when setting up
00:01:11
these radios you need to make sure that
00:01:13
there's no obstruction of view wireless
00:01:15
Bridges need a clear line of sight in
00:01:18
order to work okay now that we got the
00:01:20
basics down let's go ahead and set up
00:01:21
the AP and client okay we have the two
00:01:24
pharaohs CPE 510 radios here one will be
00:01:28
our AP and the other is our client out
00:01:31
of the box you get the radio itself a
00:01:33
passive Poe adapter otherwise known as
00:01:35
the injector a power cord pole mounting
00:01:38
straps and the installation guide for
00:01:40
the most intuitive and efficient way to
00:01:42
set up the radios we recommend you unbox
00:01:45
all of the radios and plug the injectors
00:01:47
to power outlets connect the radios via
00:01:50
ethernet cables to the poe port on the
00:01:52
injector for power a tip to keep
00:01:55
everything organized is to take a
00:01:57
sharpie and Mark AP and client on their
00:01:59
respective radios so you know which is
00:02:01
which the first radio you should set up
00:02:04
is the AP connect an Ethernet cable to
00:02:06
your router PC to the Lan port on the
00:02:09
injector now from your computer change
00:02:12
the PC IP address to
00:02:17
192.168.0. put whatever you want there
00:02:20
changing the IP address to a DOT zero
00:02:22
dot network will make it easier to
00:02:25
connect to the radios next hop onto the
00:02:27
browser and type in the default IP
00:02:29
address of
00:02:34
192.168.0.254. in order to access the
00:02:36
radio once on the default login will be
00:02:39
admin admin and agree to the terms of
00:02:41
use and you're in next you'll be
00:02:43
prompted to change your username and
00:02:45
password for better security from here
00:02:48
click on quick setup select access point
00:02:51
and set your custom IP address this
00:02:53
could be anything but we recommend
00:02:55
192.168.2.200
00:03:00
this address will be out of the way of
00:03:02
typical IP schemes to prevent any IP
00:03:04
conflicts subnet will be
00:03:09
255.255.255.0 changing the SSID isn't
00:03:13
mandatory but it will help you recognize
00:03:15
the AP if you have a lot of APS in a
00:03:18
single location make sure to enable
00:03:20
macstream and there you go once this is
00:03:22
done the AP will change to the new IP
00:03:25
address now let's set up the client
00:03:27
since we're just setting up a
00:03:28
point-to-point connection we have one
00:03:30
client but when setting up a point to
00:03:33
multi-point connection the process will
00:03:35
be the same with the only variations
00:03:37
being the changing of the client IP
00:03:39
addresses the next step is to unplug the
00:03:42
ethernet cable from the Lan port on the
00:03:45
AP injector and move it over to the
00:03:48
client injector we want to keep the AP
00:03:50
powered on so don't touch anything other
00:03:52
than that use the same default IP
00:03:54
address from before enter the default
00:03:56
login of admin admin change your
00:03:59
password when you're in go to Quick
00:04:01
setup and choose client change the IP
00:04:05
address to
00:04:09
192.168.2.201 every client you add after
00:04:12
this one will follow the range for
00:04:14
example dot 202 or dot 203 etc etc now
00:04:20
select survey then check mark the ap's
00:04:23
SS ID and there you go remember to
00:04:26
change the PC's IP address back to
00:04:28
normal to regain internet connection
00:04:30
your AP and client are connected and
00:04:33
ready to be installed I hope this video
