00:00:10
hello I'm Adam barrel a and welcome to
00:00:13
this crystal connections video where
00:00:14
we're exploring snowflake obsidian now
00:00:17
just like all other obsidian snowflake
00:00:19
is born from volcanoes and it's formed
00:00:21
very very quickly very different to
00:00:23
crystals now snowflake obsidian what
00:00:26
makes it different is you can see these
00:00:27
little white patches in it and this is
00:00:30
from another crystal called cristobalite
00:00:32
and what happens these form within it
00:00:35
and this from the effects the energy of
00:00:37
the obsidian normally obsidians have a
00:00:39
really fiery nature about them and
00:00:41
snowflake obsidian is probably out of
00:00:43
all the obsidians the most of or the
00:00:46
most calming because it kind of creates
00:00:48
a bit of a yin-yang balance so this one
00:00:50
this type of obsidian snowflake obsidian
00:00:53
is really good fair allowing you to you
00:00:55
know to look at where you can find more
00:00:57
balance in your life
00:00:58
balancing time by yourself and time with
00:01:00
other people it really gives you time to
00:01:02
meditate to enjoy that and to really you
00:01:05
know combat feelings of loneliness or
00:01:07
isolation and realize that there's more
00:01:10
to life than what's just in the mundane
00:01:12
or what we see every day
00:01:17
there are many demands for our time and
00:01:20
attention in this fast-paced life and
00:01:22
what you can find happening is you tend
00:01:24
to be you know there'll be different
00:01:25
desires that you may have and whenever
00:01:27
you have that desire you start to take
00:01:29
action to pursue that now that may just
00:01:30
be getting yourself breakfast in the
00:01:32
morning to a long-term goal which is
00:01:34
such as building your house you know
00:01:36
that will take a long long time but what
00:01:38
what the risk of that happens is in this
00:01:40
life where we we tend to identify a
00:01:43
desire and then we try an action to
00:01:45
fulfill it and then soon as that's done
00:01:47
we find an X desire and we go to an
00:01:49
exception and there's a little risk
00:01:50
there of tend of going into the cycle of
00:01:53
going from desire action desire action
00:01:55
desire action and what happens after a
00:01:57
while is it become so habitual that we
00:01:59
just end up doing the first thing that
00:02:01
comes to mind or the first thing that
00:02:03
grabs our attention and after a day a
00:02:05
week year or a lifetime we realize that
00:02:07
we're nowhere near the path we want to
00:02:09
be now snowflake obsidian in puts
00:02:13
another bit in that kind of desire
00:02:14
action cycle and what that step is is a
00:02:19
rest it gives you time to pause now that
00:02:22
just may be a few seconds after sending
00:02:24
an email to consider what should I do
00:02:25
next at work through to where am I going
00:02:28
of my life and actually taking time to
00:02:29
for meditation in introspection at the
00:02:31
end of the day by wearing or working
00:02:34
with snowflake obsidian it'll really
00:02:36
encourage you to slow down to find that
00:02:38
balance between that action and that
00:02:39
rest so you don't end up down a path
00:02:42
somewhere where you never intended to be
00:02:43
it helps you to check in with yourself
00:02:45
all the time and really make sure that
00:02:47
the life you're living is the life that
00:02:49
you want to be living
00:02:55
working with snowflake obsidian can not
00:02:57
only help you get your life back on
00:02:59
track but also can help you to enhance
00:03:00
your knowing of yourself working with
00:03:03
surf like obsidian is really nice to do
00:03:05
in the colder months when we start to
00:03:07
become a bit quieter and when we're
00:03:08
really encouraged just as the trees and
00:03:10
the animals are taking time to hibernate
00:03:12
to slow down their growth we're
00:03:13
encouraged to do the same and what some
00:03:16
great things to do is this is to work
00:03:17
with snowflake obsidian in those column
00:03:19
months surround yourself with a couple
00:03:21
of black candles and just ask yourself
00:03:22
some of those major questions you know
00:03:25
what what foods does my body want have I
00:03:28
had enough water do I need more sleep am
00:03:30
I happy what truly makes me happy what
00:03:32
do I want now you know a lot of these
00:03:34
questions such as the primordial basic
00:03:36
ones like what food do I want to what
00:03:38
drink do I want we're told what the
00:03:39
average person should eat but he used
00:03:41
the average person no we're all slightly
00:03:43
different and those answers are within
00:03:45
us so you don't have to necessarily be
00:03:46
without and around us so what you can do
00:03:49
meditate with this ask yourself those
00:03:51
questions just sit there and allow the
00:03:54
magic of snowflake obsidian to actually
00:03:56
bring those answers up and into your
00:03:58
consciousness another thing you can do
00:04:00
while working with this for
00:04:01
introspection is what's called scrying
00:04:03
this is great with all the students
00:04:04
including snowflake obsidian what you
00:04:06
need to do here is you need a candle or
00:04:08
two and you want that candle light to be
00:04:10
shot sitting in a darkened room and you
00:04:12
want that candle light to be kind of
00:04:13
reflecting on this obsidian allow your
00:04:16
eyes to kind of go out of focus kind of
00:04:18
like your daydream in that type of thing
00:04:20
and as you do that just stare and watch
00:04:21
the the movement of the candle in the
00:04:24
reflection of the obsidian and just
00:04:25
allow as your eyes go to focus stay
00:04:27
aware but allow subconscious your
00:04:30
unconscious that go ahead and succumb to
00:04:32
just see what thoughts come up and
00:04:34
that's called scrying if you'd like to
00:04:36
find out a bit more about that google
00:04:37
that nuts yeah there's lots of different
00:04:39
ways you can do it but I'd love to do it
00:04:41
with obsidians it snowflake obsidian is
00:04:43
designed perfectly for it
00:04:48
as summer is a time for adventure action
00:04:51
and expanding your horizons winter is
00:04:53
the time to become introspective to
00:04:56
reevaluate and to make sure that you are
00:04:57
heading in the right direction before
00:04:59
you make new plans in the spring for the
00:05:01
coming summer working with snowflake
00:05:03
obsidian especially in the winter and
00:05:05
the colder months is a great thing to do
00:05:07
because it helps you to find balance in
00:05:09
your life to balance between the time of
00:05:11
action and that time of rest and when
00:05:15
you think about a lot of our lives we
00:05:17
spend a lot more time in action than we
00:05:18
do in rest and and evaluation so work
00:05:21
with this and find that balance in your
00:05:23
life snowflake obsidian can really be great
00:05:26
for helping you to enjoy time by
00:05:28
yourself to make that a beneficial time
00:05:30
and to enjoy your own company it helps
00:05:32
you to get clarity on what you want to
00:05:34
do and in those winter months it's also
00:05:36
great to wear and grid around the home
00:05:38
because it helps you work in tune with
00:05:40
that season and to deal with the cold
00:05:41
weather to deal with the snow if that
00:05:43
happens where you live and all those
00:05:45
different things really nourish yourself
00:05:47
and look after yourself and take
00:05:49
advantage of winter instead of it being
00:05:51
the time that you feel gloomy and
00:05:53
waiting for the next summer and spring
00:05:54
to come
00:05:59
snowflake obsidian helps ensure the fair
00:06:02
distribution of goods resources finances
00:06:05
and so on so if you're involved in a
00:06:07
legal proceedings or maybe a custody
00:06:09
battle then take snowflake obsidian with
00:06:11
you as well as placing it on your legal
00:06:13
papers it's great to have around the
00:06:15
office when you try to balance your
00:06:16
budget or do a spreadsheet or anything
00:06:18
like that as well
00:06:19
now on a more global scale it's really
00:06:22
great for allowing fair distribution of
00:06:24
resources around the world and what you
00:06:26
notice is we don't have a lack of food
00:06:28
or resources or anything we just have a
00:06:30
lack of distribution we have an
00:06:32
abundance in some places in the world
00:06:33
and I lack in other places so the first
00:06:36
world has a lot and the third world
00:06:37
isn't receiving what the first world is
00:06:39
wasting now there is a dwarf planet
00:06:42
called make a make a which is named
00:06:44
after an Easter Island fertility God and
00:06:47
droite this dwarf planet in astrology
00:06:49
rules the fair distribution of finances
00:06:52
of resources of all these different
00:06:54
things
00:06:55
now when make a make a goes into
00:06:57
retrograde and this is happening in the
00:06:59
first couple of days of 2017 what
00:07:03
happens is maker maker will start to
00:07:05
bring up and make it obvious because
00:07:07
it's not supporting that kind of energy
00:07:09
that rules
00:07:10
it'll make it obvious where there is
00:07:11
this unfair behavior happening so where
00:07:13
maybe where big industries or
00:07:16
governments or anyone or even
00:07:18
individuals are being corrupt and taking
00:07:22
advantage of either the earth or people
00:07:24
and not being fair now on a more close
00:07:27
close and intimate level it can also
00:07:29
start to shine light on aspects of
00:07:31
yourself where you are maybe not being
00:07:33
fair where you're being greedy or
00:07:35
selfish or maybe a diverging from the
00:07:37
truth a little bit as well and as you
00:07:40
start to feel a bit of an easier this
00:07:41
this is an opportunity to grow because
00:07:43
as you can go back into more alignment
00:07:45
be more truthful with what you're doing
00:07:47
to look at what what you're trying to
00:07:49
achieve in your life and whether it's
00:07:50
just to feed your ego in your own
00:08:00
sorry about that not sure if you saw
00:08:02
that that was a fox and coupla kangaroos
00:08:04
and gave me a bit of a fright um no what
00:08:07
I was saying though is um what happens
00:08:10
is um winemaking monkey is in retrograde
00:08:13
a couple kangaroos hopping around still
00:08:16
when maker maker is in retrograde what
00:08:18
happens is you'll feel unsettled this is
00:08:20
your opportunity a great opportunity if
00:08:22
you work out okay all the things that
00:08:25
I'm aiming for all my needs and all my
00:08:27
desires and all my goals in life and
00:08:29
they just deserved myself
00:08:30
or they deserve the greater good and
00:08:32
what maker maker wants is for everyone
00:08:34
to be served as well as not just people
00:08:36
but the plants the animals and the whole
00:08:38
planet so if you can start to identify
00:08:40
where you're being a bit selfish and
00:08:43
realign let's bring this back into
00:08:45
equilibrium then this can help you to
00:08:47
receive more and more abundance maker
00:08:48
maker will help that and snowflake
00:08:50
obsidian is great to work with that
00:08:51
meditate with it wear it during
00:08:53
retrograde to be aware and define that
00:08:55
balance in that distribution of your
00:08:57
efforts and other efforts to other
00:08:59
people as well and also you can make
00:09:01
grids where you put this in the middle
00:09:02
and you can put things like red jasper
00:09:04
around for fed is another fairness and
00:09:08
simplicity crystal you can put morganite
00:09:12
which is very much about a you know
00:09:15
equal distribution as well and put that
00:09:17
in a grid and you know even put it on a
00:09:20
map of the whole world and this can be a
00:09:23
really nice way to balance out and to
00:09:26
bring that fair distribution so i'm
00:09:29
still distracted by the foxes of the
00:09:31
Kangaroos running around
00:09:38
if you're inspired to work with
00:09:40
snowflake obsidian then first it's a
00:09:42
great idea to cleanse it because it's a
00:09:44
crystal of balance then depending what
00:09:46
you what you need to balance in your
00:09:47
life that's how I would cleanse it now
00:09:49
being an obsidian it's great to cleanse
00:09:50
either near a volcano or with fire so if
00:09:53
you need to bring a bit more action or a
00:09:54
bit more vibrancy than cleansing with
00:09:56
fire but a lot of the time what we need
00:09:58
is to sell down a lot more to rest more
00:10:01
as we've discussed in this video and so
00:10:03
ideally then I cleanse it using the
00:10:04
element of Earth or ideally if you can
00:10:07
bear it in the snow that would be
00:10:09
absolutely great now the animal guide
00:10:11
that I call upon when I'm working with
00:10:13
snowflake obsidian isn't bad and it's
00:10:15
bare not a perfect example of teaching
00:10:18
us about balance bear is very powerful
00:10:20
and mighty animal but what does bear do
00:10:22
in the winter goes into hibernation
00:10:25
takes that time to introspect to you
00:10:28
know review to regenerate and all those
00:10:30
types of things then comes out more and
00:10:32
more powerful the following here and so
00:10:34
what you can do is you can look at the
00:10:36
lessons of bear you can be like bear
00:10:38
even eat like that rest in the winter
00:10:40
and you know be active in the summer and
00:10:42
what I like to do is I'll hold by
00:10:44
snowflake obsidian close my eyes and
00:10:46
I'll call on bear and Ice Bear to guide
00:10:48
me on whatever I'm dealing with in my
00:10:49
life at the moment just like you do
00:10:52
where you would invite maybe a guide or
00:10:54
an angel into your meditation visualize
00:10:56
yourself in a sanctuary in a beautiful
00:10:57
natural place and just call on bear
00:10:59
it'll be interesting to see what bear
00:11:01
appears to you this interact with bear
00:11:03
however that may be it may be a big
00:11:05
conversation it may just be a few words
00:11:07
you may just cuddle you know that's what
00:11:09
I've done with bear before sometimes
00:11:10
bear doesn't speak to me we just lay
00:11:12
there together and I feel his warmth ER
00:11:14
and that could be you know just what I
00:11:16
need because I'm trying to think and
00:11:17
model I didn't do what I want to doing
00:11:19
bears like just rest now
00:11:21
the plan that I love to work with is
00:11:23
patchouli and I love to work with
00:11:24
patchouli essential oil now patchouli is
00:11:27
actually very protective and its really
00:11:29
great for detracting people you know you
00:11:32
can diffuse it around the home if you've
00:11:33
got stuff you need to do and you don't
00:11:35
want to be interrupted it's good for
00:11:36
detracting unwanted guests you can put
00:11:38
parts of the Acholi plant like leaves
00:11:40
around on window sills and doors to also
00:11:43
detract uninvited guests it's also
00:11:46
really good for wearing it as a close
00:11:49
or perfume or aromatically dressing in
00:11:51
it to helped to stop people who will
00:11:55
waste your time or try and take more
00:11:56
from me then actually give back to you
00:11:58
it will actually detract them away so
00:12:00
patchouli is really nice again they're
00:12:02
helping to find that balance and have
00:12:03
that that successful me time now
00:12:06
astrologically we talked about make a
00:12:08
make a now maker maker wasn't known by
00:12:10
the ancients who gave different days to
00:12:13
different planets and different
00:12:15
astrological bodies but I really like to
00:12:17
work of snowflake obsidian on Saturday
00:12:19
because Saturday normally ruled by
00:12:20
Saturn is all about discipline and
00:12:22
finding that balance in that way that
00:12:24
restriction and that control I'd love to
00:12:27
know how you've worked with snowflake
00:12:28
obsidian and what your experience with
00:12:30
it is how do you find it compared to the
00:12:32
other obsidians
00:12:33
and please if you've had any of these
00:12:36
experiences share with that crystal our
00:12:38
community leave a comment in the section
00:12:39
below thank you so much for taking the
00:12:42
time to watch this video
00:12:43
I'm Adam barley blessed be
00:12:53
you
