with one example of what every faction

is using to do well all these Army list

examples are things that people have

used to go at least 4-1 or better in a

grand tournament over the past couple of

weeks not necessarily the absolute

optimized thing to run for every faction

but just one example that one good
00:00:51
player has managed to run to some
00:00:52
success and generally it means they've
00:00:54
been kind of stress tested if you
00:00:56
managed to win a bunch of games at a
00:00:57
grand tournament you're guaranteed to
00:00:59
have gone up against good players who

know what they're doing for this one I

thought I'd look at army list that are
00:01:03
completely different to the ones that I
00:01:05
talked about last week there were a few
00:01:06
big tournament winners that are featured

in the previous video for this one I

thought for this one I mix it up and

look at different lists for those same
00:01:13
factions loots to talk about though so
00:01:15
let's jump straight into it and talk

through the
00:01:18
list first up and starting with the
00:01:20
Imperium we have the Space Marines this
00:01:23
list by a pontis was used to take
00:01:25
first at a tournament that I'm going to
00:01:27
try and pronounce fles get a fat
00:01:29
probably B ing that in all sorts of
00:01:31
different ways in any case Space Marines
00:01:32
have been struggling a bit recently but
00:01:34
this list went 5 nil with an
00:01:36
ultramarines Gladius at a smallest Grand
00:01:38
Tournament of 31 players this one takes
00:01:41
the trid and tested combo of Manus cgar
00:01:43
and urio Ventress quite often showing up
00:01:46
in Vanguard but it looks like they
00:01:48
Gladius here and they also have a
00:01:49
lieutenant with the sword and shield and
00:01:52
the fire discipline enhancement I'm a
00:01:54
little bit uncertain as to exactly where
00:01:55
the Carrs attached my guess would be
00:01:57
that perhaps Uriel goes with the assault
00:01:59
in cessors as they could potentially
00:02:01
give him the rerolls to wound on
00:02:03
objectives and perhaps cgar with the
00:02:05
company Heroes making really quite a big
00:02:07
tough unit with him and his extra blade
00:02:09
guard attendants then I guess that the

lieutenant will probably go with the
00:02:12
hell blasters as opposed to adding
00:02:14
himself into the company hero block and
00:02:17
then something out of that could deep
00:02:18
strike either the hell blasters to get
00:02:21
the jump on the enemy with all the fire
00:02:23
discipline goodness that would be my
00:02:24
guess as to be the case and then maybe
00:02:26
marus cgar and the company Heroes could
00:02:29
ride in the L raer Redeemer really quite
00:02:31
a big chunky units to get delivered into
00:02:33
combat at long range there obviously a
00:02:35
bit of uncertainty there I feel like
00:02:36
there's genuinely different ways that
00:02:37
you could have gone with them otherwise
00:02:39
there's three units of jump intercessors
00:02:41
with power fist and plasma pistols just
00:02:43
generally really efficient at
00:02:44
skirmishing with enemy units and good
00:02:46
for secondaries when there's so many
00:02:48
actions and things going along in par
00:02:50
Nexus certainly the hell blasters with
00:02:51
the lieutenant are a pretty massive fire
00:02:54
power threat lethal unsustained hits on
00:02:56
a five plus potentially makes them
00:02:58
really Savage there's a unit of cursors
00:03:00
to make one unit plus one to hit a unit
00:03:02
of infiltrators that might likely be
00:03:04
used to screen a Back Field objective if

deep Strikers are about and a unit of
00:03:08
Scouts to hold down the Midfield finally

in addition to that impulser and lamb

Raider Redeemer that's still here

despite the increased points cost

there's another couple of gladiator

scary stuff there quite a well balanced

they had really quite a big shake up in

the last update big nerves to their

artillery and having their reinforcement

strategy limited but they did get some

upgrades to tanks with the whole born

soldiers change as a result looks like
00:03:44
someone's managed to make a very tank
00:03:46
heavy Imperial Guard Army work pretty
00:03:48
well Taylor John uses to take
00:03:50
fourth at the field of flames GT going
00:03:53
four wins to one loss for the tank side
00:03:55
of things there's a Demolisher tank
00:03:56
commander who has Grand strategist to
00:03:59
provide some more armored orders he
00:04:01
won't get the lethal hits but still
00:04:02
being able to fire in death and getting
00:04:04
extra orders is a good advantage and
00:04:06
then for the bulk of the armored mes
00:04:07
there's two Rog oror battle tanks which
00:04:09
are just really intimidating stat lines
00:04:11
they've got oppressor cannons
00:04:12
pulverizers melter bonson and extra
00:04:15
stubbers and then three further Leman
00:04:17
Ross to go alongside them a regular
00:04:19
battle tank and a Leman Ross Demolisher
00:04:21
each with the melter sponsons and then a
00:04:23
lemon Ross exterminator taking heavy
00:04:25
bolt as bonson I guess he's likely going
00:04:27
to be sitting back and taking aim at
00:04:29
things to to hand out a bit of extra AP

overall that's a seriously intimidating
00:04:33
amount of armor a lot of list would
00:04:34
struggle to get through that amount of
00:04:36
things and beyond that it looks like

they're well supported by orders VI Lord

solar and his platoon command Squad

combo to allow him to broadcast orders

to the tank commanders and other stuff

GA goost to present and really quite a

nice thing to have in par Nexus being

able to jump around the board doing

actions there's a unit of scouting cast

Chan jungle Fighters a couple of mortars

in the Infantry Squad and the Lord solar

command Squad so you could potentially

hand out fields of fire really reliably

if you wanted a small unit of tempester

of muscle on a Midfield objective

finally there's just two Scout Sentinels

still to Mark targets for tanks even if

it's just roll ones to hit and Chip Away

with a bit of L Canon fire overall

certainly intimidating amount of guns

there I feel like the enemy was strug to

keep that contained and win any sort of
00:05:31
direct firefight might be more about
00:05:33
whether or not the enemy can outscore

them and try and keep them from damaging

their most important units with terrain

maybe even if the blunt to the changes

for the guard weren't great last time it

is quite nice to see tank guard actually

fire and also get some pretty insane

shooting Buffs on her own attacks

there's a big Squad of Terminators with

a shield captain and Terminator armor he

takes the ponop specs for ignores cover

and they can actually be surprisingly
00:07:26
shooty if you use archet Munitions on
00:07:28
them being able to teleport across the
00:07:30
board turn one if they want to could be

pretty big too and then there's two

blade Champions going with the custodian
00:07:36
wardens nice and tanky with their feel
00:07:38
no pains once per game and the minus one

to wound the blade Champions are fairly

fearsome in combat and can deliver them

at longer range otherwise to support

them there's two squads of vitari

custodians with the lances these guys

are pretty amazing deals at 165 points I

think getting free rapid Ingress and

basically Guardian spear type profiles

and not really paying all that much of a

tax to get a guaranteed charge in the

mid game I feel like we're going to see

a lot of custodia lists using those and

more united prosecutors always handy to

have for cheap investment for actions

lone ranging Shield captain on jet bike

with the from the Hall of Armor as

so it's quite a big threat just in his

unit that can pick off lighter enemy

see a new version of The Shield host

though and custodia is doing a fair bit

a rather colossal amount of changes in

the balance update and I was interested

to see what sort of things they'd come

out with one example of a list that's

done well is this one by Samuel Martin

for war it in a 57 player tournament

this one again is using the most popular

skari Hunter cohort Detachment the one

where a lot of units get stealth at

longer range and has a bunch of useful

stratums such as f pain reactively

shroud protocols to prevent shooting and

the expedited Purge protocol to allow

you to advance and charge that one's
00:09:06
really quite nice with the new Ros
00:09:08
stalkers that are actually legitimately
00:09:09
scary with those blades this one has
00:09:11
bellarus call himself taking the helm
00:09:14
which is quite nice given these lure
00:09:15
Buffs that he got last time round I
00:09:17
wonder if he's just giving some roll

ones to hit for those iron Striders with

the last cannons they look like they're

going to be putting out a fairly fearsome amount of anti-tank Firepower

there's two units of three of them

otherwise there's three skari Mar along

with a bunch of battle line two units of

Rangers and three units of 10 Vanguard

pretty good to have lots of battle line

around anyway for all of the doctrine or

imperatives and they take a bunch of the

good enhancements cantic thret is better

than ever giving you both of the

protector and conqueror imperatives

that's pretty massive given how much

better they got the hunter allows a nice
00:09:49
redeploy including putting things into
00:09:51
strategic reserve and battles sphere up
00:09:54
link allows you to move shoot move
00:09:56
meaning that you can have some very fast
00:09:57
moving skari troops and the marshals
00:09:59
will give you some nice hit rerolls as
00:10:01
well so the special weapons from the
00:10:03
Rangers and vanguards can have a fair

bit more threat than normal there's two

scorpious Dune Riders to transport some

things about I don't know whether or not

that's going to be used for Ros stalkers

or a combination of the troops can be

quite nice for either and put out a fair

bit of volume fire with their stubbers

as well there's one big unit of traxi

sterilizers which can be a nice option

to jump off the board and return to

strategic Reserve with programmed

withdrawal you could have them bounce

around flaming things and then returning

dangerous again I feel like there's a

lot more units that you'd actually be

scared of here compared with before even

if this one is choosing to go heavy on

these guitari bodies

still next up we've got sister of battle

and this one is using the Bringers of
00:11:14
flame Detachment run by Jerome LSI who

used its tap first at gong 40K open the

Bringers of flame does seem to be by far
00:11:22
the most competively used sister
00:11:24
Detachment it's the one that gives you
00:11:25
the advance and shoot with assault and
00:11:27
plus one strength within 12 12 in both
00:11:30
of which are pretty great for sisters
00:11:32
close range Firepower and they do have
00:11:33
some other good things for the
00:11:35
Detachment as well it's led by canones
00:11:37
with a jump pack and handam flamer who
00:11:39
has fire and fury the one that allows
00:11:41
you to get more hits with flame weapons
00:11:43
so she'd be joining one of the two big
00:11:45
units of seraphim absolutely nuking the
00:11:47
enemy with a whole bunch of strength
00:11:49
five hand flamer hits there and also
00:11:51
getting devastating wounds when they
00:11:52
need them could be hard to catch up with
00:11:54
them as well due to their move shoot
00:11:56
move there's then more than VAR and a
00:11:58
unit of Paragon warsuit really quite

Fragile on the defensive but absolutely

enormous threat against everything when

put out a fairly scary amount of

the dominions lots and lots of hits with

overall looks like a list with just

fairly terrifying damage outputs between

all the things here particularly those

two squads of scary seraphim might

threaten to delete most normalized

infantry units in the game in a single

round of shooting and plenty of nasty

melters to go around as

well next up for the gry knights they

got a few points increases in the ATL
00:13:45
last update dread Knights going off a

bit but still seem to be doing okay this

list was run by tequila gray who used it

to take fifth at a tormented Deus GT

going 51 against 62 players this one's

dropped the Librarians a together which

are often quite a popular choice with

their mortal wounds they did go up in

cost once more instead this one's led by

C or Dro himself who can pretty much

guarantee a charge out of deep strike

either with the paladins or the
00:14:11
Terminators I guess a Grandmaster in

dread Knight with incinerator S Cannon

and Hammer and his big rerolls against

tanks and vehicles he's got inescapable

wrath so plus one to charge could mean

that he's got a bit more chance of
00:14:22
charging out of deep strike and then

there's a regular grandm with an

incinerator and his command Point thing
00:14:28
he has the sigil exence to teleport away

I guess he'd be running either with the

massive Squad of paladins or the
00:14:33
Brotherhood Terminators whatever Drago

isn't leading speaking of which

basically over a quarter of the Army's
00:14:39
points is going to be in that massive
00:14:41
Paladin Squad either led by Drago or the
00:14:43
grandmas they've got four incinerators
00:14:45
and just going to have spectacular
00:14:47
damage output and be a massive unit that
00:14:49
the opponent is going to struggle to
00:14:50
take down there's a squad of five strip
00:14:52
marines that can do sticky objectives
00:14:54
and things and then for some heavy
00:14:55
lifting against tanks and vehicles
00:14:57
there's three Nemesis dread Knights or
00:14:59
armed with incinerator S Cannon and
00:15:01
great hammer to put the smack down on
00:15:03
vehicles in combat they can move very
00:15:05
fast as well finally for a bit of
00:15:06
objective support there's an evera
00:15:08
assassin with Lan operative he's often
00:15:10
getting the nod over the cidus Assassin
00:15:12
these days given the 25 Point change
00:15:15
there's also a cheap Squad of voids men
00:15:16
at Arms with a rotor Cannon could be
00:15:18
quite a nice unit to pop up and do an
00:15:20
action or sit on a home
00:15:22
objective next up for the Imperial
00:15:24
Knights they got the rather nice
00:15:26
advantage of their big Knights being
00:15:27
able to walk straight through walls at
00:15:29
the risk of taking some battle shock and
00:15:31
also Kanis Rex got quite a lot better
00:15:33
with his strategems changing this list
00:15:35
by Michael Roberts was used to take
00:15:37
fifth at the US goon Hammer GT going
00:15:40
four and one I think only defeated in
00:15:42
the last round this one brings three big
00:15:44
Knights to the table kis wrecks himself
00:15:46
kind of unsurprisingly he just brings
00:15:48
ridiculous amounts of damage with his
00:15:50
hitting on twos sustained Hits free
00:15:52
rotate iron Shields if you want it now
00:15:55
and melee to make a gallant proud then
00:15:57
there's night Lancer which has the
00:15:59
banner of mccarus triumphant he just
00:16:01
moves 14 in and now he's unincumbered by
00:16:04
terrain is going to be very easy to
00:16:06
charge against the enemy his tank shot
00:16:07
maybe got a little bit Tamer but he
00:16:09
still hits like a truck the four plus
00:16:11
invulnerable save is really big as well
00:16:13
for being able to tank damage in return
00:16:15
when he's inevitably attacked back
00:16:17
there's then a night Crusader with a
00:16:19
thermal Cannon a nice general purpose
00:16:21
gun turret there he takes the einon
00:16:23
storm missile Podge for a little bit of
00:16:25
indirect and has unyielding Paragon to
00:16:28
debuff enemy AP he can also make the
00:16:30
arer helin hit a little bit better with
00:16:32
his bondsman ability as well too witch
00:16:35
arag wise this is one of the only nights
00:16:37
list that I've seen in a long time that
00:16:38
goes really heavy on helin rather than
00:16:40
War glaves there's four of these guys
00:16:42
all armed with the twin Auto cannons and
00:16:44
heavy stubbers quite a lot of volume
00:16:46
fire and absolutely lethal against
00:16:48
certain fly targets particularly Katan
00:16:51
and finally there's a cheap Inquisitor
00:16:52
with psychic gifts and a force weapon I
00:16:55
guess just here as a sort of actions and
00:16:57
objectives type unit of handed for
00:16:59
Knights to have a unit that cost a bit
00:17:01
less than 140 points overall cool to see
00:17:04
the big Knights doing well and
00:17:05
interesting to see so many hins on the
00:17:07
table in this
00:17:08
one next up let's move on to the

Divergent chapters of Space Marines and
00:17:13
for the blood angels this list by
00:17:14
benrick won first at Ray GT going 5 n at

a 44 player event blood angels do seem

to have been doing particularly well at

the start of the par Nexus meta and this
00:17:24
one takes the sons of sanguinius
00:17:26
Detachment as they mostly do plus one

attack and plus two strength on the
00:17:30
charge plus a particularly nasty damage
00:17:32
dealing strategy in red rampage this one
00:17:35
really is blood angels of the standard
00:17:36
Rush at you sort of theme loads and
